  1. This is too little too late. There are newer and better things in the horizon, Wildstar Online to mention one, with a well thought out PvP segment. One can always get the Star Wars fix from Disney/EA as they'll probably start spewing out games in the very near future. It's been a nice ride Bioware, but you've managed to end this yourself.
  2. I do, and you could even look at this thread as such. But I don't quit the wz if that is what you mean.
  3. You were saying premade vs premade is worse, you even repeated it now. That inherently means that it is better than premade vs randoms. There's no third alternative here in between. We currently have no rated system, which means that the only way you can ensure skill. Is by grouping with skilled people. And to top it all of, you can group those versus random people. Turning it into an unfair advantage. I'm baffled that you do not understand that you're actually presenting an argument to the benefit of premade vs premade, not the other way around. Just the fact you're saying premade vs premade without a ranking system is unfair, without understanding that premade vs random is even more unfair is totally, and utterly, mind blowing.
  4. Laughing at it, is what I would do. If people where that luck then by all means. It's not something you can do much about either, nor does it really matter either.
  5. I have trouble understanding that when you use an argument that uses the premise of basically "gladiators vs drunken fun friends" that somehow, "gladiators" vs "drunken fun randoms" is better. It's not better, its way way worse. There's only 2 possible immediate solutions to this. That will remove the inherit unfairness now currently in the game. 1. Remove the ability to queue as a group all together. 2. Make people that queue as a group play versus others that queue as a group.
  6. You're right in two aspects; it doesn't guarantee a win & skill and team composition matters. But the premade is inherently unfair in that it favor the 4 people that plays together. All I'm saying is that the inherently unfair part should be removed. Also, just so it is said. If there's people in a warzone with the same guild tag and that equals a premade (it might not) for the sake of the argument. Then they are at an advantage. There's not really any discussion. The degree of advantage is pointless to discuss. Because we can discuss the relevance every single detail until the day we die.
  7. No, not in my opinion. They're closer, because as a starting point they're 4 people known to each other. And that is closer than 8 random people. That is a undeniable fact. Those 2-4 friends that want to play together is a non issue. In my personal experience you'll not notice them over 8 totally random people. It is the "elite optimum-composition max-gear voice-comms SAS team" that stomp anything and everything that is a problem. If you've ever been one out of the randoms in such a premade, you'll quickly realize that PVP just turned into a joke. It's piss easy. No fun. And definitely no fun for the 8 randoms in the opposing team. I'm not saying that they shouldn't create a proper matchmaking system. I'm saying they should immediately redo/remove the current situation with "premades". And that can't be done unless they remove the ability all together, or make certain that 2x4 people are matched up against 2x4 people. Premade vs premade in other words.
  8. You fail to realize that skill and gear will always be different. However who you play with can be controlled. So you can leave skill and gear to be random. But you can at least make the premise of that fight, be fair. I find it rather amusing that you're using the argument against premade vs solo (fairness), as an argument to prevent premades vs premades. Premades are awfully much more close to eachother than they are versus solo queuers. Funny that you obviously never realized so yourself.
  9. I don't want you to not be able to play with friends. I'm saying you can play with your friends vs other people that also play with their friends. Otherwise you stack skill and gear in your favor. Though I suspect your sentiment is meant to throw the issue off its intended target. 4 john doe's teaming up isn't a problem. 4 people (friends) with an interest, skill and time (gear) teaming up together, that's a problem when they're teamed with 4 more john doe's vs 8 john doe's. EDIT: On further realization this answers all the others that chime in with "We want to play with friends".
  10. Holy goose. So much flawed logic and sentiments in one post that there was no recourse but to respond. 1. Your introduction. This has nothing to to about carebears or anything like it. It has to do with creating an equal chance to win or lose, as close to it as one can. Allowing premade groups to team versus a group of random people is not an equal chance, it's about stacking the chance in favor of the premade group. 2. Work on your gear So your basic sentiment is that you, yourself, fought and lost against all these premades. But in the end you got your gear and your team. So now it is your turn to wield the sword of injustice? By the same logic, you also then, believe that if someone steals from you, you can steal from someone else? 2. Join a guild So basically, find people to create premade groups to pvp with. In turn, not solving the problem, just become a part of the problem (beneficial side). 3. Realize that you don't win them all I see nothing wrong here. Except that based on your other information, it's quite clear that you don't look at this from a perspective of solo queuing. Which makes it very hard to tell what you actually mean. I choose to interpret it as "Team up or lose sucker!" You can't win them all. It's a team based game. There's different skill level among players, there's also different gear level among players. You can't control these unless you play with a team. And there's the kicker, that's the factor you seem to forget, you create premade teams to control the skill and the gear. Which is why allowing premade groups to play versus groups of random players terribly unfair. The solution is really simply, group premade teams vs premade teams. Equal footprints for everyone involved. And leave solo queue for the solo queuers. Should be perfect for everyone involved, except you. Because it's quite clear that you think that if you've gone through something, unfair or not, everyone else should do the same as well. My god. If the world worked that way, we'd still be in the stone age.
  11. Now since the launch of SWTOR this has been possible. It is commonly known as "premades". It usually means a combination of the following things. - Friends playing together. - VOIP coordinated. - Level of gear is usually in the very high end spectrum. The result of this is that 4 out of 8 players on the other team, 8 if you're unlucky, are able to coordinate and play in a fashion random people never will. Effectively winning close to every game, resulting in the opposing team giving up. Which means one thing only, farming the medals you can before the game is over. I would love to hear from Bioware why this is still possible to PVP this way as it is clearly disadvantageous to everyone but the "premade". Anyone? As a last note, I have the perfect solution. With keeping the ability for friends and guildies to play together. Team them versus each other. Group queued(premade) vs group queued(premade). In the meantime this should be disabled so that people have an equal chance of success based on how they enter any warzone.
