  1. I support this. There's a huge disparity between the number of female-only pieces available and male-only pieces available. Fix this!
  2. X-Post from Customer Service: Obviously it would be best if they would work out whatever technical problems they're having and actually eliminate the crashes. But failing that, why has their customer service department done nothing to mitigate the bad publicity side of these server issues? Having played MMO's for many years now, there is an understanding that occasional server problems and unexpected downtime are part of the genre. However, I have never seen a customer service department handle the fallout as badly as SWTOR's.
  3. I play actively as an Immortal Juggernaut tank in progression-oriented PvE Operations. I have limited experience DPS'ing or PvP'ing. 1. How do you think your Juggernaut spec is perceived by other classes? I think Juggernaut tanks are frequently considered the weakest tank class. They lack versatility, including limited range options and low AoE threat. Additionally they are well known as doing the lowest DPS in the game, which is a liability during tight-enrage fights. Without the benefit of a reputation of skill, Juggernauts are frequently passed over by PuGs for other tank classes. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I enjoy the play style of Immortal Juggernauts, but recognize they are one of the weaker classes/specs in the game. I feel like I have to make up for lack of appropriate tools for ranged and AoE agrro with skill and communication. I often find myself having to perform above and beyond to keep my spot from other tanking classes. I also find it frustrating while working on progression because when enrage timers are tight I do not feel like I am pulling my weight because Juggernaut DPS potential is so low compared to other tanking classes.
  4. @Daex Accepted. One friend of mine has 3 level 50s, another has 2, a guildie of mine has 5. But MMO populations tend to form a curve of building to a crescendo and then slowly descending to their death. Now is the time to be building a diverse community of many types of players, including casual or intermittent players, as well as RP types more interested in the varied story lines than in achieving quantifiable progress. In no way am I suggesting that regular, progression-oriented players do not form the core player base. I just think that now is a bad time to be alienating ANY kind of player. And I think their updated extended promotion is a much wiser decision, and will benefit everyone in the end. By including players reaching Legacy Level 6, and by extending the time period in which players are able to attain these qualifications, they are reinvigorating their player base, instead of fracturing it. In the end, a healthy and diverse population of happy players will make a better community for everyone.
  5. As per the developer's request to consolidate feedback to this thread: The free game time promotion(s) available with patch 1.2 seem flawed. If you are a loyal subscriber in good standing who has the time and inclination to level a single character quickly to max level (50), you receive 30 days of free game time. This seems reasonable, and I'm glad you are rewarding those players. If you have already chosen to quit the game, you receive 7 free days of game time. This seems reasonable, an easy tactic to lure past subscribers back to the game. If you have already broken the ToS to the extent that you've been banned, you get nothing. This seems reasonable, duh. If you are a loyal subscriber in good standing who happens to not have a significant amount of time to devote to video games, or who prefers a play style which emphasizes things other than reaching max level, and therefor do not have a level 50 character, you get...nothing. This is the part where I stop following you, guys. Why reward all of your customers except for this specific group of people? Not only does it frustrate the casual players, but it's generally pretty bad marketing. It seems counter-intuitive to only have rewards seducing either hardcore or disloyal players. I expect that in the long run your player base will include a significant population of casual players, if it follows the trends of previous successful MMOs. I would suggest that you remedy this oversight by offering a similar reward for loyal players who choose to play in a fashion which has not get achieved them the arbitrary qualification of possessing a level 50 character. EDIT April, 13 2012: As mentioned above, this is simply a re-post of comments made to a customer service representative who asked that feedback be available in this thread. I understand that actions to rectify this are already being taken.
  6. Agreed. I am in the same situation as you. I have been subscribed and playing the game since beta, but due to experimentation and time restrictions I do not have a max level character yet. I have called billing to express this opinion, and I will be cancelling my subscription for the time being. This was a vast oversight, and generally bad customer service.
