  1. Same. My 75 Guardian on Alderaan and my 75 BH on Dromund Kaas doing Heroics both had serious problems. Everything is completely broken.
  2. Also: didn't gunslingers and snipers have a heal in cover talent? Where'd that go?
  3. Didn't slingers and snipers heal in cover before the patch? Am I missing something? Between my missing cover bar (please, please be a bug) and this, my gunners are useless. (I was so looking forward to making my BH a gunslinger, too!!)
  4. My Gunslingers are missing their cover bars. I go into cover but their abilities aren't changing over to their cover-only abilities as they had been set. There was nothing in the Patch Notes about removing the cover bar.
  5. Another vote of SWTOR love. This is about the only game I play, the only one that has continually held my attention. I love this game and want it to stay around for a long time. The buzzing about of possibly closing or stopping development of SWTOR saddens me greatly. Please, please know that this game IS very much loved.
  6. Ugh! I must have destroyed/lost the customization item for Lana! Is there any way to get it back?
  7. It may be lack of sleep but what exactly does the "populate based on character level" mean? Like, will a 70 still be able to get solo Heroics on DK and Coruscant, for example? I get making it easier and more rewarding to level but if this means players are locked out of solo heroics that they're overleveled for, guess what I'm no longer subscribing to?
  8. Definitely enjoying the game --though yeah, other MMOs don't have the "is it dead yet" that SWTOR seems to. It's just worrying, particularly when BW doesn't seem to want to allay fears at all.
  9. I dunno, call it the alarmist in me but the server consolidation along with the blatant cash grabs (really Bioware, Senya's lighsaber for 3,750CC is just ***) plus the upcoming 70 token for class stories make me wonder if these are signs that the end is coming for SWTOR. Supposedly we're getting the end of the traitor storyline in early 2018 which makes me wonder if they're going to have more content coming after that or not. Everything seems more like an end of game wrap up than end of a story chapter. Again, alarmist. Make of it what you will.
  10. I got a different opinion than you, big deal? I don't like it -- I'm expressing my opinion. Is that not allowed or something?
  11. I have a comprehensive list here for who came back when, etc.) Interestingly, none of the Force sensitive love interests are back, including Raina Temple (Force sensitive but untrained). It makes me hopeful that MAYBE they have something in store for these companions? ... then again, seeing how crappy of a return Quinn and Elara got, even if there was a grand scheme to have a story behind the Force users, it probably got shelved to shovel out ****** ops and flashpoints to appease the "myeh, I want more multiplayer waaaaaah" folks.
  12. Agreed with all of this with the exception that I don't think Lana's in on it. Though if it does end up that Theron's a triple agent and Lana finds evidence of it, she may very well figure it out herself. In which case, she may realize that he's just doing what she planned for him to do on Rishi. If she doesn't figure it out, well, I'm guessing Theron is probably ready for the eventuality that Lana (and/or a dark-sided Commander) will have his head on a platter.
  13. So I recently played through my smuggler as well as my imperial agent and I'm curious about the Nok Drayen appearances. In the smuggler storyline, Nok Drayen is at the end of the 1st act during which he and then at the end of it . Then in act 3 of the agent storyline, you see Nok Drayen that the Agent procures for Imperial Intelligence after Belsavis. And at the end of the class story Nok Drayen So what gives? Did he not at the end of the Smuggler's Act i?
  14. Ugh, I HATE the pacing. I know everyone's upset about who the traitor is; personally I think there's more to the story. For me, it's the execution of it. EVERYTHING after KOTET seems overly rushed and this is just the latest example of it. Not nearly enough time devoted to actual story before getting your *** on the train and then dealing with the fallout of being betrayed. The train is cool, I guess. Not spiffy enough for me to want to grind Umbara for it but hey I'm sure some people love it. I really wish I had something positive to say. Um. The graphics are nice? Yeah. (Except for the CM hair wish suffers from the strange coloring issue.)
  15. I confirmed on my character that lost him that YEP he can be restored from the "impatience terminal". (That's a great term for it! LOL)
  16. I've finished Umbara on two characters now. One character (Sith Warrior, aligned with the Imperials) opted to put a bounty on the traitor's head. Traitor is still still showing as available to summon on Companions menu Another character (Trooper, aligned with the Republic) asked the traitor to come back. Traitor is NOT showing as available to summon. What is SUPPOSED to happen here? I have a Jedi Knight that has the traitor up to level 50 and goddammit, I don't want to lose the traitor as they are my knight's main companion.
  17. After I got over the initial rage, I'm not taking it at face value either. There's a line at the very end of the datamined dialogue that gives very GOOD reason not to take it face value.
  18. The foreshadowing was on Iokath. Pay attention to when the Commander is talking to their advisors and anything about a traitor is being mentioned. There are very visual clues there if you watch. I remember it because it was right after I had fnished Iokath on four different characters and was I was editing video for Quinn's reunion (yay). I kept seeing these clues over and over and thought it could not be a coincidence. So my own observations; if you read through the datamined dialogue, the very end should give you a clue as to what is actually going on. And if I'm right it is NOT out of character for this character to do such things or that this character has been thrown under the bus.
  19. Wow, that's crap. So I guess no gearing at all for F2P at end game?
  20. My hubby is F2P and we saw all the Galactic Command stuff is locked out for him. Do F2P players still get to earn CXP and command crates or what?
  21. I see vanilla as prelude, or book 1 of a series, if you will. Of course it's all about the PC at that point. The PC is growing, maturing as whatever their class is, starting from the very beginning to, say, mid-career. It's necessary. Makeb and afterward is all continued growth, their place in the galaxy. How is KOTET/KOTFE story about Lana or Theron? What have you learned about those characters in the course of KOTFE/KOTET that would even SUGGEST that the story is *about them*? Seriously, curious. (War for Iokath, I can see the argument being made for Theron if you choose the Imperial side and have all the Jace Malcom stuff thrown at you whether you wanted it or not.)
  22. Also of note is that Quinn only calls Sith "my lord" so the number of spoken lines he has (ie. the ones you get when you click on the companion) is drastically reduced for non-Sith. I guess he can barely make himself talk to the anyone else, especially any Republic characters.
  23. Five Years Ago: Coruscant (Five Years Ago: Coruscant on AO3) Getting back to work had been Theron Shan’s primary objective after being forcibly placed on administrative leave. After the disaster on Ziost, it was a minor miracle that he was only placed on “indefinite” leave rather than being fired out right. He knew it was only a matter of time before he returned to his position in the SIS. Although in his more fatalistic moments, he counted on being out of it for quite awhile. Not that being out of a job stopped Theron from working, of course. It took less than a day of abject boredom to remember that he was physically and mentally incapable of relaxing. So he found ways to keep his skills sharp, contacts fresh, and a decent amount of untraceable credits stored in low places should he need them. As luck would have it, indefinite leave came to an abrupt halt just a few months later. It being Theron’s luck, however, it literally took the galaxy falling apart for the SIS to give him his job back. The Core Worlds were under attack, supposed retaliation for an “Outlander” assassinating their “Immortal Emperor”. It sounded so strange that for a second Theron wondered if there was a Basic translator malfunction somewhere. But the destruction being rained down by this so-called “Eternal Empire” was no mistake and he found himself answering the frantic call for all hands to get to headquarters, if possible. The first part of his commute back to Senate Tower was eerily clear. Much of Coruscant entered a kind of unofficial lockdown when the bombardment began, with most hiding in whatever safety their homes offered them. The closer he got to the Commercial District, however, the heavier the fighting became. By the time he got to the Coruscant Spaceport, the area was thick with Republic military and Jedi fighting against what seemed to be endless swarms of droids. Theron abandoned his swoop just before Senate Plaza to go the rest of the way on foot. Senate Tower was in sight but from his vantage, it was going to be a hell of a run in. He had been relieved of most of his SIS issued equipment during his leave. Luckily, he always had his own blasters plus a few other tricks up his sleeve. He knew he should be scared but who was he kidding? This was his idea of fun. Theron had just about narrowed down the best path to take when the distinctive beep of his secure private comm sounded in his ear. “Theron.” A call from the Minister of Sith Intelligence when he was practically on the doorstep of the Senate Tower on his way to get his job back was inconvenient to say the least. For a moment, he wondered how the hell Lana had found this comm frequency. Then he reminded himself that he knew better than most what she was capable of and had only himself to blame for getting her started with slicing in the first place. Knowing her, she probably had the frequency tapped as soon as she found it with detailed logs and analysis in some dark corner of Sith Intelligence. Oh well. Theron knew Lana well enough to trust she would keep the call encrypted. The last thing he needed was a reprimand on his work record before he even signed the papers with personnel. But first, he needed to get through the death trap that was Senate Plaza. “You have the galaxy’s LOUSIEST timing, you know that?” Theron grumbled. “I need to talk to you.” Her tone booked no room for banter. “So talk,” he told her, gritting his teeth in frustration as he realized this momentary distraction had cost him the opening he had seen. “Temprien was aboard Darth Marr’s flagship.” Suddenly, Theron found himself thinking about a whole other missed opportunity. SIS intelligence reports had confirmed that Marr’s ship had gone down in an ambush on the edges of Wild Space. Not that he had the authorization to view those reports in the first place but that was a negligible detail. “Sith Intelligence confirmed that?” he asked, doing his best to ignore the sudden tightness in his throat. Temprien Aeterna was the Battlemaster of the Jedi Order and his… well, hell if he knew. The last time he saw her was on the fleet, just after he had gotten word of his suspension due to what happened on Ziost. Temprien had offered him a place on her ship. He had turned her down and she had not questioned his decision. In the weeks that followed he considered contacting her. He even got so far as keying in half of her private holofrequency before deciding against it. Theron knew his place in the galaxy and it was NOT on a Jedi ship. Even if that ship was helmed by someone he had grown to care a lot about. Okay, fine. Especially because of that. Despite how close he and Temprien had become during their time on Rishi and Yavin, the conversation of what they were to each other never came up. Being the literal poster boy of what happens when Jedi get attached, Theron knew better than to ask. He told himself he was happy with whatever time they had together. It seemed to him that she felt similarly. Not to mention he sucked at relationships anyway so it was all for the best. So why did he feel like he was drowning right now? “The Empire does not know any more than what I have shared with the SIS in this state of emergency as an official form of co-operation.” Somehow Theron doubted that the Empire had such protocol before Lana. Despite everything, he had to admire her devotion to pragmatism. “Did you just call to tell me you think Temprien was aboard that ship and that you can’t prove it?” “We have no official evidence to the contrary.” “Dammit Lana, then why the -” “Because even though I have no proof, I have reason to believe she is alive.” Lana’s hurried words were a balm to his rapidly deteriorating temper. “I know you care for each other and that you would want to know this.” Theron felt his cheeks grow hot. Lana had reached out to him as a friend, despite everything that they had been through. “What do you need from me?” he asked, coughing to disguise the breaking in his voice. “Your help but not right at this moment. I need to know I can count on you when it comes to it.” “You know you can.” “Good. May the Force serve you well.” Damn that lump in his throat anyhow. Swallowing past it, it was all he could do to reply, “May the Force be with you, Lana. And… thanks.”
  24. Hello! This is my first time posting in the Fanfiction forums Interim The previously unknown Empire of Zakuul has waged an all out war on the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire in retribution for the assassination of their "Immortal Emperor" by an "Outlander". While the aforementioned Outlander battles Emperor Valkorion in her 5 year carbonite slumber, old friends and future allies are being set into motion to eventually become part of the Eternal Alliance. Currently available parts also available on AO3 * * Dromund Kaas (Five Years Ago: Dromund Kaas on AO3) Lana Beniko, Minister of Sith Intelligence, stood watching the various monitors in her office as streams of data came pouring in from all over the galaxy, nursing the last of her tea when the sound of footsteps came rushing towards her door. She turned to see normally stalwart Imperial assistant at her doorway, his eyes wide. “Minister Beniko?” he called, breathless. “I apologize for the intrusion but there’s… a vi-visitor for you.” She grimly congratulated herself on managing to answer in her usual calm demeanor. “You must tell whomever it is that this is not a good time.” Lana replied, turning back to her data streams, trying to make sense of what was happening around her. Dromund Kaas was under attack, a fact that would have been chaotic enough but it turned out that there were many other Imperial worlds under attack, all aggression coming from an unknown force claiming retribution for some assassination of their “Immortal Emperor”. Ludicrous claim aside, the aggression and carnage presented by this new enemy was very real. Reports were coming in from all over the galaxy at such a frenetic pace that all of Sith Intelligence was working to sort through the chaos. Her intelligence operatives in Republic space were reporting simultaneous attacks on Republic worlds including Coruscant. She would have to follow up when — if — there was an opportunity to. And though she would have never categorized herself as an alarmist, she was not entirely sure there would be an opportunity to with the way the fighting was going. “B-but Mi-minister Beniko,” stammered her assistant in a tone tinged with both horror and awe, “it’s Darth Imperius of the Dark Council.” “Darth Imperius?” Lana turned away from the monitors to see her assistant nodding frantically. She heaved a sigh, setting her tea on her desk before nodding and motioning for him to show Darth Imperius in. Denying a Council member an audience tended have fatal consequences and Lana was not in the mood to suffer a Darth’s tantrum. Even so, she wondered at Darth Imperius’ insistence. One of the most important pieces of information that Sith Intelligence was able to confirm was that Darth Marr’s ship in Wild Space had been attacked. What little confirmed information she had regarding Marr’s ship had already been relayed via a dedicated intelligence liaison. With no further information of consequence to be had, there was no reason for any Dark Council member to come to her directly. If anything, Lana should have been summoned to brief whatever Council members were currently on world, not the other way around. Then again, what little she knew of Darth Imperius suggested that she had her own way of doing things. Before Yavin 4, Lana had only heard of Darth Imperius in passing during her time as Darth Arkous’ advisor. Unlike most of the Council who were prone to making grandiose shows of power, Darth Imperius was reclusive and distant. Word was that she was more of an academic than anything else. She believed in a better Sith Empire, one that could be free of the stranglehold of xenophobia and betrayal. Most notable about Darth Imperius was that she managed to hold herself apart from the endemic backstabbing. Lana would have been glad to work with her as they seemed to share much in common. But she never had the chance. Lana had only seen Darth Imperius once in passing during a briefing on Yavin 4. Darth Imperius had been in a nearby star system with Lord Wrath, and the two had led the Imperial portion of the coalition with the Republic at the Temple of Sacrifice. Lana’s assistant announced Darth Imperius, who followed him wordlessly into the room. Her assistant did his best to bow and just barely managed to see himself out in a respectable manner, quite an effort considering the imposing figure of Darth Imperius. She was of average height but what she lacked for in physicality, she made up for in presence. As befitting a Sith of her standing, Darth Imperius wore an ensemble of dark red and black robes that covered her from head to toe, the design evoking memories of the web covered tombs of Korriban. Her face and hair were obscured completely by her black mask, the tip of which came up high, like a crown upon her head. As though the physical visage were not intimidating enough, the waves of power that radiated off of Darth Imperius was palpable to her as a Sith. The fact that her non-Sith assistant was able to bear Darth Imperius’ presence for more than a few seconds without running in terror was evidence of his loyalty to his duty. Lana made a mental note to commend him later. “Darth Imperius,” Lana bowed. “Is there something I can do for you?” “There is,” she answered, her voice echoing from deep within her mask. “Jedi Battlemaster Temprien Aeterna was aboard Darth Marr’s flag ship with him when it was destroyed.” Lana was careful to measure her words. “Sith Intelligence is still working to determine who was aboard Darth Marr’s ship, my lord. As for the Jedi, we know that she was authorized by the Jedi Grandmaster to assist Darth Marr in his search for the Emperor. However, we do not know for certain that she was aboard.” “I am telling you that it is certain. She is the one who gave the order to abandon ship but she did not make it to the escape pods. She and Darth Marr were captured alive before it was completely destroyed.” “I am sorry, my lord, but Sith Intelligence would be unable to corroborate that statement at the moment.” “There is no need. I am here to tell you that it is true.” “My lord…” Lana felt a headache coming on, wishing that she had the foresight to have refilled her bourbon decanter. Dark Council members had a tendency to argue passionately against facts that did not fit their own perception of reality. It was aggravating at the best of times and could prove fatal when arguing with the wrong Council member. In any case, Lana had no patience for such nonsense. However Darth Imperius’ own refutation was very calm. Lana hoped that she could make her see reason. “It is regrettable that Darth Marr is presumed dead at this time. However —” Darth Imperius held up a hand. “I must clarify my purpose in coming to you. I am not here on behalf of the Dark Council, Minister Beniko.” It took Lana a moment to process that. “So this is about the Jedi?” She did not bother to hide her astonishment. “Why come to me, my lord?” “Because she considers you a friend. And she will need a friend to find her.” That Temprien Aeterna considered Lana a friend was not a surprise; the feeling was mutual even if their friendship was limited by their allegiances. However this personal information was nowhere in her reports to the Council regarding Yavin 4 and Ziost. “How do you know this, my lord?” “We have a strong bond through the Force. But it has gone silent since just before these attacks began taking place. That is not a coincidence.” Lana frowned. “I am not doubting you, my lord,” she said slowly, “but how can you be so certain?” In answer, Darth Imperius reached up and removed her mask. For most Sith, choosing to wear a mask was as much a matter of practicality as it was fashion statement. There were Sith who were so mangled from combat or so corrupted by their affinity with the Dark side that their masks camouflaged the damage to their flesh and the extensive cybernetics that they were reliant on to stay alive. But the woman beneath the fearsome mask was neither mangled nor corrupted. Lana tried to keep herself from staring. The almond shaped blue eyes, framed elegantly with an arched brow was familiar to Lana. Darth Imperius looked almost exactly like Temprien. But not quite. While Darth Imperius had her reddish brown hair cut far shorter than the Jedi’s, the most marked difference was in the eyes. While the Jedi Master’s blue eyes sparkled like the pristine waters of Manaan, the blue of Darth Imperius’ eyes was cold and hard like the ice wasteland of Hoth. “My name is Audrien Aeterna Maelach, daughter of Jedi Master Tempriel Aeterna and Sith Lord Zigel Maelach, Lord Wrath. Your Jedi ally, Temprien Aeterna, is my twin sister.”
