  1. I take it you're being sarcastic? I ca't exactly read sarcasm, but it seems like this is.
  2. The class quest chains are, but you still have to do far more generic quests than story quests, which, in my experience, aren't very fun, and you'd have to replay them to play a small amount of class story if you made another character.
  3. I call BS in SWTOR having 8 different stories. Sure, there are class quests, but the vast majority of quests I've done are just generic quests, which don't change when you create a new character, especially because all the classes (per side) converge on the same planet after they finish their origin world.
  4. I'd be fine with not knowing if a choice was light or dark instantly if the game didn't have alignment based gear.
  5. The argument that TOR should be compared to WoW when it launched instead of to WoW now needs to stop. Sure, it just released, but it's still 2011. They have WoW as an example of what works and what doesn't. So far, I've enjoyed TOR. Sure, the combat mechanics are really buggy, although there's nothing wrong with the animations in my eyes, but the abilities don't feel crisp to use, they feel sluggish, and it isn't latency on my end. I didn't really notice until I started using abilities with cast times. The sharding is also horrendous. I don't want to "go back to WoW" as many people who point out flaws in TOR are told to, I want to like the game more, but the lack of core features like a combat log sucks, and the combat is sluggish.
  6. I also agree. Although, with one in the back and one in the front, it's not entirely hidden But I would like to see it and have different knives have different models.
  7. Edit: Nevermind, thought your problem was with master looter, not the role system. Carry on.
  8. Heh, back in WoW, I leveled a shaman 58-80 in Alterac Valley, and grinded my mining and herbing in between. The grinding was actually kind of relaxing, and the PvP, entertaining, since I had all the commendation gear from doing AV so much.
  9. Can't find the option to add a poll, or the search function. Was it moved or removed? And does no one have an opinion on this?
  10. Before I start, since I find many people only read the first part of a thread before posting, This is not about just willy nilly AC switching. Okay, now to begin. What I propose is allowing people to switch their advanced class from levels 10-49, so that they don't have to relevel through the same zones, (took me about 4 1/2 hours with VO, not sure how long without, but there was a lot of walking) to try out a different advanced class. As I followed the game, after eventually settling on Imperial Agent, I started out thinking I wanted to be an operative, concealment. Then, after that, I decided I should be an engineer, since explosives and droids looked fun. Then operative again. Then, as I began to play, I started really liking explosive probe as I started out. Then I liked Shiv. The cycle continued, with my eventually settling on Operative as my AC at 10, not sure whether I made the right choice or not, just going on that I liked rogues in WoW. Now, 8 levels later (haven't been getting as much play time as I'd like and will be shut out 'til the 24th what with family for the holidays and all), I'm really questioning whether or not I made the right choice. I want to try engineer, but I don't want to fall behind the other people I know playing the game, although I could probably catch up, and I also don't want to have to relevel through the planet's I've already done (but if I did do it again, I'd be grey, not dark, and spacebar would really help). Sorry about the wall of text, I didn't really know where to break that off. So now, I don't know what to do. Should I level a new Agent to try engineer, or stick with operative:confused: The answer would be temporary AC switching, until level 50. This would allow people to see which AC they liked most without having to relevel through content they've done (story based MMO, I know, I know, alts are important, but once you've seen the story you've seen the story). One thing many people have against AC switching is that choices should matter. And they should, that's why my proposed system would lock you in to your AC at 50. But why should someone be forced into spending time leveling a class they might not like, especially when the information on ACs was vague at best? So, there's a pole incoming, but also, do you guys think that I should try another Imperial Agent and go grey engineer, or stick to my operative? Another completely irrelevant question I have is whether or not I'll be locked out of forums after the 22nd since I'll be unable to retrieve my preorder until the 24th (they'll be hell to pay if they sold my CE!). Any constructive criticism and feedback would and will be appreciated! Sorry for the wall of texts. If you didn't read it, the question was temporary AC switching from 10-49, locking you in at 50 yes or no, and why.
  11. The UI does need to be redone. I hate not being able to resize and move things around, especially not being able to have as many things open as I want because of it. Damage meters don't need to be like in WoW, but I'd love to have one that just showed my DPS and only my DPS to appease the people who cry unfair at the thought of a damage meter. Then it isn't about the numbers to compare everyone else to, it just lets me see how I'm doing, me, myself, nobody else. It wouldn't turn the game into a spreadsheet, and anyone who doesn't want them because they think that it would shouldn't be concerned with it anyways, if the meter only shows the user of the meter's dps, then they don't have to use it, and shouldn't be concerned about it if someone else is.
  12. I'm having the exact opposite problem, the mobs are too easy to kill as an operative.
