You make good points on your comparisons. The game is not perfect, and there are elements in both WoW and Rift that TOR would be smart to implement. Rift's constant world events are fun (if a bit predictable) and WoW... its been said before, no need for me to repeat.
But, by racing to 50 in a matter of days, how could you possibly have a good opinion of the game. You reached 50 so fast, of course the loot in Flashpoints was not good for you. You most certainly must have outleveled it all before you even got into most of the FPs, if you managed to do so at all.
Also, you hit 50 too fast! You were 50 when most of the players were still in their 20s. Do you work? Have kids? Go to school? Did you play the game nonstop for a week straight? (Thats about how long it was out before you hit 50)
Of course it took you forever to find groups. There was no one your level to join you.
You must have raced through the content and zones, not taking a second to stop and enjoy. Did you notice the lush environments your toon was tromping through? Did you pay attention to any of the story lines of the quests you were completing to get a sense of the greater story of The Old Republic? (It is essentially a movie you are taking part in by the way.) Did you even bother to watch the dialogue scenes or just space bar your way to 50?
Im not saying getting to 50 so fast was a terrible thing. But to rampage your way to the endgame while the game is still working out login issues on launch, then complain about content, not enough players to group with fast enough, and repetitive warzones...
Bah.
The game is not perfect. But how can you guys be screaming about how bad it is a month into launch and saying it "was" promising? Especially when based on your own admissions, you could only have ignored most of what makes the game special on your mad dash to hit the level cap.
The game IS promising. I look forward to many more months or longer of seeing it evolve.
Oh, WoW is just tired, and Rift? I have not logged into Rift since the day prelaunch access started. In fact, I've almost forgotten it even existed. Just wasn't very good.
