I bought it for the in box stuff and the in game items were just a bonus for me. So I'm not missing out on too much.
EDIT: On the bright side, at some point the CE vendor might actually have a bunch of stuff that made your purchase worth it.

I don't begrudge anyone their entertainment, but c'mon. How necessary are these threads?
Just to point out, how necessary are the threads about how the game sucks? There are people that hate the game and people that love the game. People have opinions and can post whether or not they like the game and what is or isn't wrong with the game (in their opinion).

This is true, but I'm a bit worried that this game will do an SWG and try to change the game from what it is, to something totally different.
You already see a lot of complaints on the forums about this being a "single player MMO".... well, those of us playing the game currently and enjoying it don't really want to see it changed a great deal in order to please the hardcore crowd that has already come and gone.
I myself am a casual player and this is my first MMO so I can't compare the game to any other games. I don't exactly know what is and isn't "broken" or "wrong" with the game. I personally am enjoying the game and will continue to do so and will adapt to the game as it changes. I enjoy the single player portion of the game and will start to branch out and experience more of the MMO side of things once I get more acquainted with the game and how MMO's generally work.

Yea, the VIP lounge is really nothing special. No one is ever there and I only stop by once in a blue moon to see if the vendors have anything new, which of course they never do.

If they did, the game would be sigificantly better right now, as 90% of the issues we're dealing with at the moment were repeatedly addressed by the beta testers and summarily ignored by this development team.
Better is a point of view. Some people like the game as is and some people hate it. You can never please every single person no matter how you change the game. The game won't ever be perfect so all they can do is just try to improve the game as best they can with the issues that the consensus of people agree the game has. Hardcore players will hate the game turning too casual and casual players will hate the game turning too hardcore. Just the nature of the beast.

No problem. There were a ton of broken nodes when the game first released and they fixed a lot of them but there are still some broken ones here and there.

Last I knew some nodes are broken and don't allow you to scan them. Others may have been recently scanned by another player so you have to wait for it to "respawn" so to say.

well thats just it, im not happy with it. they promised regular updates and have not delivered. and its really disapointing that the only things i got from the vendor was a companion customization and a novilty pet. i was expecting alot more from the CE, VIP and Security vendors to begin with.
This often happens when you buy a CE for any game when you buy it for just one item or reason. Sometimes that item isn't what you imagined and you get let down. I personally buy CE's for everything included, otherwise why spend so much money for just one thing? But to some people that one item is worth it. I guess it depends how much money you are willing to spend on something and how much disposable income you have. I don't have a lot of disposable income to throw around because I have bills to pay so if I buy a CE I better make sure I choose the right ones. I'm not sure if they ever promised "regular" updates but I know they said they would update it. I guess they've been really busy working on actual game mechanics to get around to the CE; and I am fine with that.

you are entitled to your opinion, but my reason for not caring about the $150 for a CE vendor was cause when pre-orders became availible i hadnt touched my 360 in almost a year so i took it and all my games and stuff to gamestop and sold it and put the money down on the SWTOR CE.
yea the statue is cool i have it on my desk, planned on getting a security key anyways but the CE took care of it for me so cool, but the journal i havnt even read and probly wont untill im sitting around very bored during a power outage lol.
also i save alot of money on gas since i ride a motorcycle
Hey everyone has their own reasons for purchasing the CE and I don't take that away from anyone. I bought it for the boxed items rather than the in game stuff. Some people solely bought it solely for the CE vendor and that seems ridiculous to me to spend that much money on something so trivial. Everyone is more than welcome to spend their money how they see fit though so as long as you're happy with your purchase then it was a good purchase.

I assume it's the same as the Imperial Fleet. Go to the cantina on the fleet and take the elevator up and voila, you are in the VIP lounge.

I really question the people who paid $150 just for the CE vendor. I mean really? You spend $150 real money on one small in game vendor? What about all the stuff you got in the box? I would think most sane people would purchase a CE for that much money for all of the contents, not just one little in game vendor. Obviously everyone is going to desire something different from the CE and the vendor was a huge draw for some players but come on. No matter what an in game vendor is offering it isn't worth $150. That's my opinion anyway.

I don't see people doing that on my server. Seems pretty lame to be talking about another game while playing this game. Like you said, you should be questing.

So I managed to get the RD-17A Hellfire Bracers (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cts=1330762339807&ved=0CC4QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.torhead.com%2Fitem%2F8HgFnMo%2Frd-17a-hellfire-bracers&ei=Q9JRT9LEMoGSgQecuYDPDQ&usg=AFQjCNFM_Whn-Ao_kU7tIdzRriJ6WaG_8w) which are Orange moddable bracers that are level 35, required Heavy armor, and required Bounty Hunter. Since my character is a Sith Juggernaut, I obviously have no need for Bounty Hunter gear. I have seen people saying that orange bracers and belts are somewhat rare and that you can sell them for a fairly high price. Since looking at the GTN and finding no similar items posted to see what I should price this item at I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how I should price this item.
Sorry if this item isn't actually worth much and I'm wasting everyone's time. Thanks in advance for any help. All comments are welcome.

DON'T remove the mods. Doing so binds the item to you. Same with putting mods into a custom piece. And I don't believe it pops up a warning about it (only the one about cost for removing mods).
That price is for any custom belt or bracers, regardless of mods that are or aren't in it.
I ended up leaving the mods in the chest piece and priced it at 15k which was on par with similar items on the GTN and it sold within 45 mins. Guess I coulda priced it more towards 25k or 30k but hey I made 15k more than I had.

I have to go with Jacen Solo. Back when I started reading the Young Jedi Knight series 12+ years ago I was introduced to the character of Jacen Solo and his portrayal in those books was very similar to my personality and thoughts. I know a ton of people hate the way he was portrayed in the New Jedi Order with the whole refusal to use the force and his some would say "wimpy" demeanor. But I have to say that a lot of what he went through in his life emotionally and psychologically I also had similar emotional and psychological feelings. I have always felt that I relate to him so I have always loved reading books that featured him.

Regardless of the belt having any mods included Orange belts and bracers are rare as hens teeth so will command a very high price. I'd start with a price of 250-300k.
Ok I was just wondering if having mods or not affected the cost significantly or not. If not then might as well pull the mods and just sell the item I guess.

Moddable skirts are far more common that belts and bracers. You're guessing about 1/10th the price that a custom belt can sell for. Chest piece or skirt, 20-30k is about right. Belt or bracers can go for 200-300k.
Now are these with the original mods included or is this just for the item itself with the mods removed?
