  1. Well I can't speak for my two buddies, but we're looking for some constant pvp to keep us busy. I can't speak to ranked vs. reg, as rank didn't exist when I left swtor before. The game has changed a lot since then which is part of the reason we're coming back. We do enjoy pve as a way to fill time, but we really enjoy pvp as fights don't always follow the same pattern because of the dynamic nature of pvp. Again, I can't speak to the type of pvp or the intensity we plan to have with it, but a healthy community trying to do it, pub or imp, is what we're looking for. Personally, I don't feel you need to be on a pvp server to be good at, or do a lot of pvp, but I'm not sure if that is how it has worked out for swtor over the years. I could care less about trolls as those are easily ignored. I'm more concerned about the 3 of us queuing up and getting into competitive/entertaining matches where it doesn't always feel like we're getting slammed or we're just overpowering the other team, or where we have to wait forever for a queue to pop. I understand some player comps/times of day are better for queue pops but that's to be expected. I don't know if this experience exists in swtor anymore, but I know it did in the early days for me as a pub. It was fun then, but other things drew me from the game. I don't know that an RP or PVE server is the spot for us, but if they have a fairly healthy rate of queues popping then that is really what we care about. Does that help describe what we're looking for?
  2. Do you know where these guilds went? what would be your recommendation for pvp then? I've seen shadowlands and harbringer mentioned, but I'm curious what seems to be the most active server for pvp out there?
  3. Thanks for the replies. I'm not too concerned if the server's focus is pvp or not, just that it has a responsible amount of pvp happening, either via queues or in the world. Obviously a PVE server won't have as much world pvp but that's okay. Is it fair to say having a healer and/or a tank in our like party will help the queues go faster regardless of the server or is Ebonhawk still likely the best candidate to get quick queues?
  4. Some friends and I have recently resubbed and our server, Pot5, seems dead, granted we're on pub and are now looking to reroll imp but if we're going to reroll is there a better server we should do it on? We're only going to play in the evenings most likely but we're curious what is the best option to pvp now?
  5. Myself and a few friends are coming back to the game, and this server in particular, and were wondering which faction now had the best queue times for pvp? Is it about even and time of day matters more? Does our class make up matter at all, as in does having a healer, or tank, or both in our group help? Thanks!
  6. It would appear, based on looking at talent spec calculators, that the top tier abilities say 'Requires two light sabers'. This would only be the case for Marauders and Sentials but it would appear these tooltips are out dated based on what others are saying.
  7. It seems like any melee jedi or sith would be foolish to use these items over a light saber. As far as I can tell most major abilities of these classes require a light saber... is that not true? I don't see a viable spec which could actually use these items to raid. That makes me sad.
  8. These items look really cool but because they are not light sabers does this limit their value to a Jugg or Marauder? I've not played a sith warrior but it looks like several high end abilities require a light saber. Is it even possible to be raid viable using either of these cosmetic pieces? Can you even reliably contribute to FP or in PVP using these items? I don't see a single spec which can get by using these cosmetic pieces, which is a real shame. It seems like they a better used on your companions...
  9. That's fair. But I'm guessing removing SS from my rotation to help maintain a better distance to avoid crap is going to hurt my dps significantly now?
  10. Just got back into the game recently and playing a trooper. Is the 10m rotation still viable for PVE with the changes they've made recently to make the full 36 Assault more desirable?
