I've just started learning about augmentations etc and the processes etc, but I'm not sure I grasp the whole process 100%. The following is my brief understanding of what I have to do to enable me to augment a piece of armour for example, so if I go wrong anywhere and you can set me right, please do =] Strangely enough I've been unable to find a step-by-step process as to HOW to actually augment things from scratch, so hopefully this may enlighten others aswel as myself. From what I understand, to give a piece of armour etc (I say this as my crafting skill is Synthweaving) an augment slot, I need an augmentation kit. I also believe that these kits come in different Mk's ranging from Mk1 through to Mk6, and obviously if I use a Mk1 kit on a piece of armour, I can then only attach a Mk.1 Augmentation, or at least only one that is of that level. Now, I am also led to believe that these augmentation kits can be made, and to make them you need to essentially craft items, and then reverse engineer them. So say, if I craft a green belt and then R.E it, I should get back some of the components used to make that item (usually Rubat crystals), aswel as the chance to get one of these components needed to create an Augmentation kit. Firstly, is this true? If so, what are the chances of me getting one of these augment kit components every time I R.E an item?? (I know that I have a 20% chance to learn a blue-level schematic for whatever green item I R.E, but does this also mean I have a 20% chance to gain this Augmentation component???) If not, where can I get these Augment components and/or kits from?? After this, I understand that you go and see your crafting vendor (The person you learnt the skill from, for me Synthweaving), and you can buy the schematic for an augmentation kit. Then, you craft a kit, and use that kit to augment whatever piece of armour you want to augment. Is this pretty much it?? Or have I gone wrong somewhere?? ANY help will be very much appreciated, and I apologise for the wall of text, but it's necessary to explain myself fully so that you guys can hopefully help =] Many thanks in advance, ~ Duck.
