  1. Have created 2 tickets and no response to either. Paid real life money for these packs and having the contents simply go Poof! is not acceptable. I spend a lot on packs and if you no longer wish me to do so, this is exactly how you should treat me in order for me to no longer make those purchases. Ignore me. I can find other games to spend my money in.
  2. Valorous, that isn't the old Valco, is it? I'm co-lead of Proteus, Inga. Last time I went thru a guild merger, it went smoothly and without a hitch. Bank went with us, entire guild picked up and transported from Sith Wyrm to Shadowlands. I'm hoping this move goes as well. Proteus is on Shadow, Dalborra. We're in Star Trek Online, Neverwinter, were active in City of Heros and will be in Final Fantasy as well. There are other games as well, but our presense in them is smaller. In SWTOR alone, we have almost 2000 toons, in the 4 factions on the two servers, tho at the moment, we're letting Dal stay as is and not really recruiting much until we make the move to Har. In STO, there are also approximately 2000 toons. It's an awkward time for all on Dal and being on a server that you know is emptying out isn't fun, but chin up folks, when you get to the new server, you'll be able to breathe new life into your guilds and begin anew. It'll all come out right in the end. I'm sure that there will be speedbumps and small hurdles, but we are Dalborra strong and will be fine! Build alliances with one another and help each other thru this.
  3. Getting people into vent isn't always relevent to guild size. If the group in channel isn't welcoming of 'intruders' folks tend to not go back for more. Vindication members were very, very good at raiding; not at growing a balanced guild, recruiting or nurturing beginner players or tolerating 'noob' questions. There was no future in Proteus for Them, this is true. A guild of their own was the best idea. They are hard-core raiders. Doc said no to turning the guild over to them. I understand and support that they have their own name and place. I do not frown on them. Their way is simply not what Proteus is. Every guild has several toons per player, this point is true as well. When Vindication left, roughly 150 'toons' left. Vent is now active and friendly. New players are in with old and humor is back. I do not raid. I simply play the game with other gamers, and comraderie in vent is part of that. Regardless of number of alts, vent can only contain one person, regardless of how many toons he has. We try to limit alts to a total of 3 and we want a balanced guild. Raiding, PvP, PvE... We've never wanted to be a Raiding guild. While we do a bit of that, it is not our focus. Vindication and Proteus are right where they need to be, each doing what they feel is best for their guilds. I like that. And the best of it all? We get to have Vek! And I don't know where Smashdown landed, I suspect Rise of.... I wish him well... He's an awesome individual.
  4. They've given us all the information that they have decided to. When the time comes, they will tell us what we need to know. Last time servers merged, it went pretty smoothly and entire guilds were moved. I don't like this, but it is what it is. They have decided. It appears that they are not in any hurry. I, for one, am in no hurry to change servers either, so how things are suits me just fine. Getting excited over it changes nothing, so I choose not to. I gave them my opinion. I'm sure it matters not, in the grand scheme of things. I'm just resolved to wait and see, since I have no alternative.
  5. I replied to exactly what you stated and jumped no gun. Proteus has been around a lot longer than any member of Vindication was within guild. There are still ops teams within Dalborra. Doc has over 3000 members to oversee, so doesn't really get much time to run ops on a regular basis. I don't know about a rebellion. I do know that some of they who left didn't agree with how Doc ran it. Not my problem. Again, I simply replied to what you openly stated. I have heard members amongst the departed group laying claim to creating Proteus and that is not true. Doc and Kitty did all of the recruiting for Dalborra. They brought their guild there. Dak and the girls joined an already existing guild. Proteus has always been a balanced guild and not catering to raid teams, but to the overall game and all of the nuances. PvE, PvP, casual players, serious players. It's what the guild has always been about, in every game that it holds a presense in. We aren't, nor have we ever been, a raid dedicated guild.
  6. He is not wrong about the ping. I live in the U.S. have no ping issues at all playing Dalborra, yet on Harbinger, a mere 15 miles from me, I have more ping than on an Oceanic server. Not being negative; just stating fact. If I live in the U.S., have zero issues with Shadowlands and Dalborra, why would I have issues with Harbinger ping? I'm sure you have an answer to this; you seem to have a response to everything. Enlighten me, oh wise, all-knowing one.
  7. You can't be serious! Proteus has over 3000 members and has been an active guild for over 8 years. They began and haven't looked back since COH, STO and now SWTOR. You weren't in guild during any of those other games. I was. You had a couple of raid teams, took 150 of the 500 members and formed your own guild. No one wishes you ill and we hope that you are successful in your guild, but to say our name and lay claim to her is hugely funny to me. Take off the rose coloured glasses. You do not in any way, shape or form, represent what is good and beloved to true Proteans at heart. Honour and loyalty is what our guild is about. You have a few members who raid and quite a few who went on to Rise of the Phoenix, I believe they are called? I respect the members of that guild. I look upon Vindication with great sadness.
  8. This discussion is for all affected. It isn't limited to Aussies, either. Asian Pacific... Hmmm, might that include, ummmm, Asian type countries? I'm one of the 'stupid' ones who rolled on Dal. My friends play there, they are Aussie, Kiwi, Singapore... etc. Oh hell, why am I trying to explain this to you. I choose to accept my rate of ping, in order to play with my friends. No choice is given to them, in being forced to play on a server here. You sound like an angry lil person. Go have a hug or a cookie.
  9. This entire subject should be a wake up call for all within the game. It's membership dwindles. It's a matter of time before they start consolidating NA servers as well. To think of the game not being here at all saddens me. It would be missed. And this comment coming from a 'normal' person, writing a 'normal' opinion, without benefit of an internet enhanced, inflated IQ claim. Oh woe is me...... ...chuckles...
  10. . Now the first thing I did when I heard about this was log onto the Harbinger and try to get my names. I got all my Grall* names below but was unable to get any of the others. I advised all my Guildies to do the same of which most could get 1 or 2 but often not their primary name. I understand that when the merger actually happens we may still get to keep some of the names and we will lose some depending on a number of factors. Vindication/Retribution still exists? Interesting.
  11. Ping rate on Harbinger right now for me is under 100, but then again, there are only 12 people on at the moment on this world. When there were 147 people here, the ping was between 500-700. I remember many tales of Har having issues to want to voluntarily move there. Chat being inoperative, lag issues. I understand that the choices made for us are out of our hands. I don't believe the petition is wasted time. Rather than sit around complaining, some folks are letting their voices be heard, which is better than doing nothing, no matter the outcome. It's the effort to be involved that is important. The name-calling and rock throwing disgusts me. We're supposed to be adults; some of us anyway. Instead of being snots to each other, can we not have civil dialog on this matter? I prefer to combine the servers of Asia. That is my preference; not my choice. I'm an old dog and not welcoming of change! We were made to move here; now we're to move back. What did this accomplish? If the PvP'rs want more opponents, let them have free character transfers to a server of their choice, let the rest of us group on Dal. RP'rs can RP all that they want. We can PvE and PvP casually. Sigh.... Don't flame or tell me I spell badly, or that I'm ignorant. You'd not be the original name-caller stating these things, nor would it make you appear clever. JMO Next...............
  12. My rates are consistent with Shadow, Dalborra, Harbinger and I just tested The Red Eclipse, a European server. Shadowlands is on the east coast; Harbinger on the west coast and I am in the middle of both. I get a better rate on Dalborra than I do on a West Coast server. I also get a better rate on the Red Eclipse, tho not by much. I play an Aus server because I work nights, sleep days and that is when my guild is active. If I'm having ping issues, I cannot imagine what they will deal with. We're likely going to lose some folks over this. Why not consolidate the three asian pacific servers and give the players wanting more pvp challenge, the option to copy to Harbinger, if that is what they are seeking? That would be a win-win scenario. I did add my voice to the petition.
  13. Where is Harbinger located? I logged in and created a toon there. The ping rate was all over the map. I created a Smuggler and my ping was over 700, with one red bar... then it went to about 250 with 3 bars, but kept fluctuating... I live in the U.S. My ping on Shadowlands is usually around 60, and on Dalborra, between 250-300. If an American trying to play on Har, what can Aus folk expect? What is up with this ping rate? Hardware issues? I play on Dal because my friends are there... This solution isn't working for me; how can it work for them?
  14. I as well! Cannot wait for paid transfers!
  15. I too, tend to run solo. I play an MMO. If I want to run with a group, I run with a group. MMO's have the option of running solo or with groups, for a reason. It is the individual player's choice how he/she plays the game. Go play your own game and let these folks play theirs. When I play solo, I run along, sharing buffs and throwing shots to assist they who I pass. It is my choice, how to play the game.
