  1. Patch 1.5 saw changes in the way the GTN calculates its commission. I wrote to the support team and told them of the issue only for the support team to come back with an explanation that shows that the people writing code do not have any idea about margins. Here is the response from the support team: I can advise that this is working as intended. Any item that sells successfully on th GTN will have a 10% cut removed from the total amount of the sale. As an example, an item placed on the GTN with a buyout fee of 1000 credits and a duration of 1 day has a deposit fee of 130 credits. If the item does not sell within the time period, then the item and the 130 credits will be returned to the character. If the item sale is cancelled, the item is returned but the 130 credits will not be. If the item does sell, then 1130 credits will be returned but minus the GTN cut of 10%, resulting in 1017 credits being returned to the character from the sale of the item. Clearly 113 credits is 11.3% of the 1000 credits that the item was sold for. The item did NOTsell for 1130 credits. It is obvious that whoever wrote the code does not understand the concept of the sale price, margin etc. etc. The GTN commission should be 10% of the sale price and NOT 10% of the sale & deposit. Bioware..... please fix - this is just basic fundamental arithmetic....... I hope your people can grasp these concepts
  2. Having a single GTN for both factions would provide better competition because of the larger available market. It would also be easier to implement because the game would only have to contend with 1 GTN instead of 3. Also having a neutral GTN on players ships is next to useless since there's hardly any items for sale on the neutral GTN. However, a single GTN for both factions would make having a GTN terminal on players' starships so much more desirable.
  3. Cademimu flashpoint is very buggy. The game stutters badly, especially when there are many enemies present. If you manage to get past the long drop elevator mob at the bottom then you will also find that the program also crashes when you're trying to kill the boss at the end. I reported this bug last month and I wonder how long it will be before BW actually fixes this. Getting a "stock-standard" e-mail reply certainly does not inspire confidence that BW is actually listening to their customers. This problem has not even been acknowledged in their patch notes of things yet to be fixed.
  4. The problem is one of internet and server lag. It depends on which server you're on, how good your connection is and what state your machine is in. There are a lot of factors that play a role as to whether or not you will be able to make that blasted jump. I, for one, really hate this Mario Bros crap simply because it doesn't work well in MMORPG. It may work well on a console based game, but not on a PC playing an internet game. There is a great frustration among players with regards to this issue. Bioware, please add additional material to make access to this part of the game more tolerable. People have been spending literally hours trying to get these blasted things. It really spoils the game.
  5. I keep creating orange gear for my companions only to find that they are not equipable. This is despite the fact that my companions meet all the requirements for that gear. For example Elara Dorne is a companion Trooper lvl 28. She can wear heavy armor. However when I try to equip her with "Hardened Plastoid Greaves" which is orange gear lvl 11 heavy armor and requires either a Trooper or a Jedi Knight, I get an error saying that I don;t have the skill level to use this gear. This isn't the only occurence, similar things happen with Kira Carsen and light armor orange gear. It would be preferable, apart from fixing these bugs, to get rid of the class requirement e.g. JK, Trooper, Smuggler etc and just have Light, Medium or Heavy armor instead.
