  1. You get kicked out because then it goes from 6v6 into 6v5 which is unfair and ruins the wz.

Yes bioware should look into giving points During the fights instead of when its all over, they also need to improve wz loading times so the time between a player leaving and a new one joining is not as much of a anvil keeping the team down.

BW should give a 2 min grace period after someone disconnects from the net.

It would actually make more sense for you to get a more reliable connection. Don't ya think?

Only comcast is available in my area. I really want AT&T.

  2. Ha! I'd transfer all my toons over there if I could. That's going to be awesome!

when we first saw it our guild actually thought about transfering to jung-ma. sadly we can't since we're on a pvp-server. but it's definitely good to see that people are organizing stuff. reminds me off the good ol' days in lotro :(

Yeah Im glad I rolled on this server since day one. RP-PVP servers are the best kind but not many people know this.

  3. I'm thinking of buying a new pc in order to better run the old republic, the one i'm looking at comes with an

    intel core i3 2100 3.1 ghz processor,

    4gb of ram and,

Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 TI graphics card.

My current PC has a intel core 2 duo 2.6 ghz,

    2gb of ram and,

ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card.

On my current PC i can run the game on low settings at around 20-40 fps.

Will i be able to run the game better on this new system, and at higher settings?

I would just add 2gb of ram. I have a high end pc but still have problems with the game. You will waste your money if you upgrade for TOR.

  4. Si I got the key chain back in Jan. It works with my account an all. Now I got an Android and downloaded the app. But I see no way to configure it with my account because it says

"Your account has been secured with a security key! Security keys protect your SWTOR account against theft and hacking as well as granting unique game content.

Your Security Key was added to your account on January 19, 2012."

How do I get rid of that key so that I can use the app on my phone? Or can I use both key and app?

  5. What do BioWare need to implement or fix to persuade you to give SWToR another go?

Here is the few things that would work for me.

#1 Server merges or free transfers, my server's population was low enough when I stopped playing a couple of months ago, now it's truly a ghost town.

#2 Looking for group tool. I know this is coming and when it does I'll definitely login to try it out.

#3 Ilum revamp. The zone is a disaster right now, I'm sure they'll devote a patch to it sooner or later.

    What about you?

Cant really do much for those of us who are burnt out from MMO'S But I think 1 thing that I would like to see is less instancing. Less loading screens. So many loading screens, it breaks immersion.

  6. Before you read. I intend this thread to be constructive. To see what is wrong with this game. Thanks.

Mine will be because of all the loading screens. The game doesn't feel immerse enough when you have to go through a loading screen every minute.

(optional) My second reason is because SWTOR is a complete clone in skill trees, mechanics, of that big game I will not mention.

The thing is, when Bioware began making this game 6 years ago. They viewed the current big mmos model as the way to do it. Little did they know, people got burnt out from the WoW type of mmo. And so now, here we are eight years past WoW and another game comes out with the same model that is SWTOR. No way man, we've already played this type for 8 years, why create the same thing? Do you think we want to go through it all over again?

  7. I re-subbed today cause of the hype of patch 1.2. I know its not out yet but I wanted to see if I can get back into the game that I took a break from for 2 months. I logged into my 48 BH merc, did a huttball, and then logged out.

I think I am burnt out from MMO's. I bought a new pc just for this game but I just can't get into it. I played WoW for years and then took a one year break in preparation for TOR. The year off didn't help because I got bored of TOR in 2 months.

Anyone else burnt out from MMO's? Will we, who are burnt out from MMO's, ever get that magical feeling back like when we first stepped into a massive fantasy world for the first time?

I got a feeling I am done with MMO's for good. But I dont want to be because I'm not really into other genres. I like rts games like Age of Empires and stuff but my net connection dc a lot.

  8. Over and over, when people voice complaints about TOR on these forums, I see this reaction. They believe that grinding, repetitive questing, and holy trinity combat are required for a game to be considered an MMO. I suppose it's because WoW has grown so huge that it redefined the concept of "MMO" in the minds of those who played it. For many of those players, WoW was their first experience in the genre, and they lack any sense of history or awareness of what came before.

Take it from someone who's been playing these games since the very beginning (when everything was in text), none of this stuff that you guys seem to think defines an MMO is actually required at all. Levels, XP, classes, skills, quests, crafting, travel... it can all be implemented in a zillion different ways, or not at all. There are no limits except what a designer chooses (which is not to say that every combination is equally viable).

However, since WoW's success we've been stuck with playing slightly different incarnations of the same tired design descended from EQ and DikuMuds. TOR is only the latest of these (hopefully the last, if it fails) -- and not even a particularly good one.

I won't go into the specific reasons why TOR is thoroughly mediocre -- it's all been said before. I'm just tired of seeing its design failures enshrined as standard features of an MMO by people who have no clue what they're talking about.

Needless to say, my sub is canceled. And if you want to see this genre grow and develop, I'd recommend giving your money to game studios willing to push the design envelope. I'm looking hopefully toward Guild Wars 2, but right now it seems like the renaissance of MMOs remains far in the past.

I think you are correct. And it really sucks that such a IP like SW was made into this hamster wheel MMO game. We won't see another SW MMO for a long time to come because this one is already in existence. A great IP gone to waste.

GW2 will take that next step in the evolution of MMO's and there's another one coming out soon being made by Blizzard, supposed to be the next gen MMO.
