  1. Back up now for me. I had the security key as well, used the flush that didn't work, waited until about a minute ago, and then it logged in (not because of the flush).
  2. That's what's happening with me too. I tried the dns flush but nothing happened.
  3. I'd have to say about a 8/10. My juggernaut's name is Darth Virate.
  4. Well I had originally intended that you post your answers in a specific format. Please do so that I can properly tabulate official results at the end of each day. Please read the rules section, thanks Just trying to make this easier to get results.
  5. Hey if you haven't voted on the poll yet please do so here. Anyhow, if you want to discuss improvements and your answers do so here.
  6. Again please post answers in letter/number format. thanks

  8. INTRODUCTION For the past year, there have been debates over what the community generally prefers to be improved in SW:TOR. Some people prefer end-game content, others prefer story, others prefer PVP improvements, and then yet others want something else. BioWare has disappointed much of the player-base by not including a lot of what players have been asking for. Granted, they do have a lot on their plate from layoffs and other issues, but this is due to the fact that they had not been doing what players wanted, and they and the players recognize this. With the announcement of "Rise of the Hutt Cartel," many players, including myself, were yet again disappointed because BioWare tried to partially please everyone. Lack of story, no announced end-game content (operations, flashpoints, etc.), no announced improvements to PVP, and other lacking qualities made the player-base cringe when they read up on it. As it's been famously said by the poet John Lydgate, “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”. POLL So, players, what would you prefer BioWare focuses on in the next patch and/or expansion after RotHC? A. STORY A1. Class story additions (Chapter 4) A2. You may have more than one answer if your answers are from the same category, such as (A: A1, A2, A3; B: B1, B2, etc.). This will help me indicate what areas of that general subject (A, B, C, D, E) the community would like to improve. However, you may have no more than TWO general areas selected (ex: (A, B, C, etc.)). Appropriate answers may look like this: A: A#, B: B# Your first letter will count for more points in that category. In the answer above, A would get 2 points from that vote and B would get 1. Each Letter/Number answer earns one point in each category; it doesn't matter that it is the first or second letter in your answer. In the above answer, both A# and B# would count for one point, each in their own A# or B# category. I will count the Letter/Number answers separately from the general vote so that BioWare can see what players generally would like to be improved and in which areas that they can be improved in. If you answer E. and your answer falls into one of the categories I have already designated, your answer may be included in that such category. This could be because your explanation is incomplete, incoherent, or too specific. Results will be posted at the end of each day. Again, please include ONLY YOUR ANSWER in these posts, not an explanation (unless your answer is E.). A separate post for discussion has been created here. Please post both your first and second choices, as well as an optional letter/number answer as well. The order they are placed in matters. The first answer will count for more points than the second. The purpose of this forum is to show BioWare and the rest of the community what the people who play this game truly want. If you don't usually post on the forums, please at least post an answer on this one, it if for the betterment of your game. BioWare, please listen.
  9. That's incredible. At first I skipped your first post's text cuz it was kinda long (TL;DR) and I thought the first picture of the lightsaber was actually a model made in real-life. You do an amazing job on those, and the imagination put into each is fantastic. You are truly an artist.
  10. Contrary to apparently popular opinion, I agree with the OP. I absolutely despise Taris. Granted I have not played KOTOR, I understand its importance in lore and all the answers it gives to loose ends left from KOTOR. Anyhow, it was definitely my least favorite planet in game. The scenery was trash (Imperial Taris is much better scenery-wise I thought). The stories were trash. They were just mindless tasks to go kill rakghouls and stuff. I was so done with rakghouls after Taris that when I got to KuS at 50 I almost cried. And then came LI. They always say you can't have a good video game without zombies and lava. But yeah, I hate Taris.
  11. Well there's your problem. At level 15, you need to finish up your Dromund Kaas quests and then head to Balmorra, as Balmorra is a lvl 16-20 planet. After Balmorra comes Nar Shadaa, levels 20-24.
  12. I love seeing other people in the world who are like me. 1 in a million seems like sometimes. I've only gone up to Columi and BH gear cuz I really don't care much about raids, never have the time for them anyhow. PVP is fun too, but I usually just play the game to have fun fartin around on the fleet and doin whatever seems like fun for the day.
  13. I would suggest bringing this post over into the Customer Service forums where they can give you a run down of exactly what to do.
  14. As a tank, I would like to add that it is usually necessary, in the first seconds of any fight, to let the tank attack first before any cc's are applied or before DPS start hitting stuff. The reason I say this is because in a fight, the first person to attack or cc is the first person targeted, and if it isn't the tank, then a) the person who is targeted is going to get burned down a bit on health, a setback to the healer, and b) the tank cannot regain the initial aggro of the mobs well (especially if the other group members start attacking as well) and may need to use a taunt (which is better used in situations when the tank is losing aggro later in the fight). Word of advice to the non-tanks regarding crowd-control: Wait for the tank to make the first move. If you have a cc that cannot be used in combat (i.e. stealthing cc's), or cc's that are channeled for a period of time (i.e. Force lift / whirlwind), let the tank and the rest of the group know when and who you are going to activate the cc. If your cc can be used during combat, let the tank attack the mobs first, then apply the cc to the designated target. Word of advice to the tanks regarding others' crowd-control: If you see a party member beginning to cc an enemy, react accordingly: If it is a cc from stealth, wait to attack the mob until the stealther is out of range of aggroing the mob (in or out of stealth) and out of range of AoE damage from the mob. If it is a cc that is channeled, attack during the cc's activation so that your attacks reach the mob before the cc does. CC's generate some amount of threat, so be ready to aggro mobs close to the cc'd enemy because after a short time, if not attacked, they will revert to attacking the cc'er or the healer, either of which is a big no-no.
  15. Well it is the case, to an extent. In your case you should receive about the same amount of xp as doing it at the recommended level. However, going back to Taris at lvl 18 will be fine because most quests there are for lvl 16-20. You won't lose any xp versus doing the quests at the recommended level. Heck I went from Coruscant to Taris at lvl 18-20 on most of my characters anyhow. But you're right about gaining a smaller amount of / no xp if you do lesser level quests, but that only applies if the quests are like 7-8 or more levels less than your level. In fact it might look like you're getting less xp from everything since you're used to doing quests well above your level (since you do that you actually gain slightly more xp from completing higher level quests), but that's not the case .
  16. There should be alot of quest givers in the fleet for the beginnings of the daily quest chains. I know that there is a terminal that begins your Corellia ones, as well as a Bounty Board for the Belsavis ones, and an NPC for the Ilum ones. Don't know if you have to talk with these things before you start the quests, but I would just to be sure. Just know that the Corellia ones are strictly dailies, the Belsavis ones are bonus quests as well as repeatable dailies, and the Ilum quests are world quests along with daily ones, without any class content.
  17. If that previous suggestion didn't help, you might want to post this in the Customer Service forums to get some official help from a CS representative. They'll give you a run down of how to fix it and they'll help you through the problem.
  18. It would be best to, in the future, at least complete the world quests and some side quests. But anyhow, it might sound a little tedious to have to return to Taris and finish up most if not all the quests, but it'll be necessary. The suggested level range of Taris is 16-20ish I think, Nar Shaddaa is 20-24, and Tatooine is 24-26(?). So trying Tatooine at lvl 18 would be harsh. Anyhow, if you don't want to do the quests on planets you've already completed your class quests on to level up, I would recommend Flashpoints, mainly Hammer Station for you right now, as well as space missions (while boring sometimes, they provide large amounts of xp, especially if you do the daily with them as well). You'll have to do alot of the Flashpoints / space combat though to level up... I recommend the first option of completing world quests / side quests back on Taris and Nar Shaddaa, as well as possibly doing flashpoints and space missions.
  19. It's possible to "keybind" most of your abilities by accessing the Keybind Options from Preferences --> Keybinding --> Quickbar. Scroll down the menu until you reach "Quickbar 2 Slot #." From then on each of the selections will represent an ability slot (Quickbar 2 Slot 1 to Quickbar 4 Slot 12). If you click it you can type in your preferred keybinding. Also, if you don't like the original numbered keybindings on Quickbar 1, you can change those the same way you can change the others. It's possible to use almost every key on the keyboard to activate an ability, but also be sure to watch out for accidentally binding keys that already have a use (i.e. Binding the key "C" to a slot will no longer allow you to access your character sheet by pressing it, then you have to reset it and it's a pain in the ***). You can also use CTRL or ALT or SHIFT + Letter/Number if you have preferred keys but can't use them more than once. I personally also like to use the mouse for keybinds, like CTRL + Mouse Wheel Up, Down, ALT +, SHIFT +, etc. I did however find out that some of my other mouse buttons that I use for easily browsing websites and such couldn't be bound, so watch out for that. And if I didn't mention earlier, they don't show which quickbar is which, but Quickbar 1 is the top bar in the middle, 2 is the bottom middle, 3 is the left, and 4 is the right (going by the default interface preset "Extended" options). Don't wanna make this post any longer or confusing, but the reason I said "most" abilities can be keybound is because some classes have more abilities than available quickbar slots (or if you like to keep certain non-class specific abilities (i.e. medpacs) on the quickbars like I do then you may have more abilities than slots available). Anyhow, TL;DR: Preferences --> Keybinding --> Quickbar for keybind settings, Quickbars 1-4, 12 slots each. Any key on the keyboard/mouse (mouse usually) is available to use. Hope I didn't over-simplify things for ya.
  20. Is it your birthday soon? If it is, I'd like to give you this nice clump of blank space. You can use it to separate your long rambling sentences.
  21. For those of us with asthma this is different.
