  1. Your answer is right here: The parser does not interact with the game client, rather it interacts with the log being generated by the client. An Overlay also doesn't interact with the client, it's an interaction with your operating system forcing the graphics of the parser to appear on top of anything else being ran.
  2. One problem with forming a group out of guild for a Hard Mode is that the 50s are strewn all over the galaxy and there is no chat channel for us to reach everyone, so a group finder would allow us to get a group consisting of players from all over. Depending on the features it may also allow us to go into the flashpoint from, say Corellia while we're doing dailies, and then when we're done return to that same spot.
  3. This should go in the new player forums as well, and should include other vanity pets to turn it into a full guide of all the pets, not just the new ones.
  4. What what the timespan for that? Hard to tell what your DPS was from that. My latest parsing on the ops dummy put me at 969 DPS without buffs. My gear is a little haphazard and includes a mixture of columi and champion gear. My spec is 0/30/11 (which means I'm better with groups than I am single target. I've been thinking about building a single target spec, but I love sab so much, esp the improved scrambling field and sabotage charge.
  5. Another Malgus item? Satele Shan needs some love as she's much cooler anyways.
  6. Thanks for adding the chest color unification back in - I've missed it since the last beta build. I'd like to suggest adding the same customization options (except show DS corruption) to each companions. It would be nice if their gear could coordinate with their chest piece and/or with our chest piece.
  7. I'm getting about the same numbers you are as a Sab GS. My gear is about the same as yours, though I think when I get back from dinner I'm going to add up the total item ratings.
  8. It's too bad we can't use color unification (and hide helm) for our companions too.
  9. The two 'Mission Supply Vendors' on Ilum will sell you Armoring, Barrels, Hilts, some Rakata implants, and mounts in exchange for your dialy commendations.
  10. One thing I've noticed and have heard some others talk about is that some of the bonus objectives have level requirements before their completable. An example would be the 4 fighters you have to destroy in the Mando mine missions. When you get the first one you are too low to do that bonus objective.
  11. Once you equip it you'll see the addition of a new button in the lower left while you're in space. I use the numberpad buttons (1-4) to activate those.
  12. Easy solution, tell the opposite team in /say or /yell where they are at and maybe they'll fix it for you. I know I would go kill an AFK Sith. I play WZ for the fun it brings and the challenges it presents. An AFK player on either side damages that.
  13. That is the scheme. I haven't played an Imp past level 5, and that was in beta when I played one at all, so I don't know what's going on with the mission. difficulties there. I've tried doing that since I started doing space missions in September and the chat window just doesn't want to open for me. It's fine though, some of these missions really require you to pay attention and glancing at a chat log wouldn't help with that.
  14. No, thank you both for letting me know. I couldn't remember what level it was this opened up so I went by the level of the quest (which seems to be accurate for some of the missions)
  15. That is not a bug, that's the way it's supposed to be, hence the reason for the talents Steaded Aim and Combat Shield. Most channeling effects offer the ability to knock down the ticks of the effect by DPSing the caster.
  16. It's a good example the difference better spaceship upgrades can make in your missions.
  17. If the mission 'Operation Noble Gambit' is grey when you pick it up, that means you're too high for the missions and that is probably why you're not getting exp.
  18. Thanks, I'll have to go through that and update the names of the missions to include both the Republic and Imperial missions.
  19. I actually bought it out of curiosity and was pleased with the reward. I got a level 50 artifact helmet which matched my class. Doing space missions will give you a financial and exp edge compared to not having done them. Part of the reason I put this guide together, as well as the videos, is to limit the 'need' to have the best ship upgrades. As a cybertech this time around (compared to beta) I did find the space missions a good deal easier. I actually kept my old space gear for the last two Grade 3 missions (Hydian Way Blockade and Drexel Sweep) instead of using my artifact upgrades.
  20. The first time you get a space mission quest you do it individually, after that it becomes part of a daily; however, you don't have to have a quest to do a space mission.
  21. What you're missing is that some of the PvP gear gets it's stats from the armor itself and not all from the mods. On top of that the PvP gear offers set bonuses that the fully modable stuff doesn't.
  22. You must not get around much. This game has one of the best PvP of the myriad of MMOs I've played.
  23. I only lose Warzones when it's Huttball and it's RvR.
  24. It's been 40k for months. If you saw 25k then it was a glitch or a misread.
  25. Sorry for the lack of updates, for some reason I lost the ability to post on the forums and in PMs, probably due to the switch from live. Got a hold of support and it looks like that is now fixed. I hit level 50 earlier this morning and therefor have a good number of videos that I need to post once I get them recorded. Look forward to an update with all of the space missions (at least for the Republic) in the next few days.
