  1. Okay, so the Purple gear I've seen with 2 mod slots is the gear that can't have it's Armoring changed? That makes sense.

I know Orange gear won't be able to go into Deep Purple territory but as long as I can reach Purple-level quality by using epic mods on my Orange gear, that will make me happy pre-raid. Thanks for the clarification!

Yeah, once you get to Ilum and Belsavis (bonus area) you will have level 50 repeatable quests that give you special comms that can be spent specifically for purple mods. Makes it much easier to prepare for hard modes and presumably the entry level Operation.

  2. Yea it says on this page what the secondary stats are, thanks, however, I'm looking for something that has more descriptive views regarding how much each stat affects a player. I have read posts already referring to how much affect a player will obtain by upgrading shields v.s. upgrading defence. Like, for instance, how much does adding 1 point of absorption block?

Check your character screen as I said. You can see how much each thing affects you including those stats that are not the 'primary' ones like Power, and Shielding etc.

  3. All slots in orange gear can be upgraded to 'purple' using mods but perhaps not the deeper purple gear that is probably 'raid' only. (Not sure if deep purple mods exist at this point)

Purple gear you cant change the armor/damage 'mod' spot but the other slots you can change.

  4. 10?!?!

anyway alot of the cards that have an aftermarket cooler design are usually quieter then reference cards but you need to look at reviews. Quite a lot of the cards designed for overclocking are really quiet when you have the gpu at its stock speeds as the cooler doesnt need to work as hard (infact they are usually quieter overclocked the reference stock..). gpu choice is up to you here really..

Best way to know about loudness it to look at reviews of any cards that interest you..

Yeah, There's no way 10 is really helping More than likely they are all pulling air in different directions and not really doing their job right. Best to have a 'flow' in the system. The same amount of air going IN and goes OUT and all moving in the same direction. (i.e. front to back flow)

  5. In MMO's you pay by the month regardless of downtime for patches. Only in rare cases do they (other mmo companies) give extra days of play due to lengthy unexpected downtime events.

As for the login issue, I think the game is up and working right now. Maybe try rebooting your computer and see if it will let you login.

  6. Higher difficulty does make a difference in loot chances, same with the higher tiers of loot boxes. However, I dont know of any 'best' way to find random loots. Unless you get lucky you'd probably well out level the planet before getting a 'set.'
  7. I guess more jerky video. Like i'll try to turn my avatar left, and before i know it im runnning into a wall.

    Couple things to try:

Go into the settings (UI area I think but could be wrong there) and look for a camera rotation speed option and turn it down almost all the way.

Make sure the game graphic options show that the game is running in full screen non windowed mode.

Hit CTRL SHIFT F and look in the lower left of the screen for a FPS #. What is it showing and what color are the numbers?

  8. oh ya i do that... but im out of quests and i have not found the lost jedi. is there another town that im missing?

Probably. Open your world map and select the Taxi icon on the left side and see where there are other taxis you could visit. (there are usually more quests near taxis) Also you should see your quest listed there on the map someplace.

  9. They are just a rank system that lets you use certain social gear. You find vendors for social gear in Cantinas around the galaxy.

The 'who wins' is just a random roll. There is the ability to 'crit' a roll as well as get 'boosted' if you've lost too many times compared to the others in the group though.

  10. I have a total of 10 120mm fans in my case, plus liquid cooling for the cpu, so the airflow doesn't get blocked by a massive cpu fan XD. What kind of case are you running those cards in?

Just a pretty run of the mill thermaltake case. It is quiet though. I have a 120mm fan on the front and back, and one on the side and top. Plus the CPU fan.

  11. My Nvidia GTX 460 by PNY are not overly loud and I have 2 of them. However, the loudness is strongly affected by the cooling ability of your entire system as well as the specific case they are held in. You could take the exact same setup and put it in a different tower and it might be relatively quiet.
