  1. Hey folks,

I wanted to let all of you know that we are looking into the emails. For starters, here are a few things you should look for. As always, make sure to check all of your email folders, including spam, promotions, etc. The subject line of the email is either "A Familiar Face Joins Your Team - Play Chapter 10 Now!" or "Chapter 10 and Firebrand are here - Play Now!". I know of some users who deleted the email thinking it was just our normal newsletter, but your codes were contained in those emails.

Now, with all of that being said, I am looking into a few things:

    • Was the email sent to everyone who qualified.
    • Were there any errors during sending, that caused some people to be missed.
    • Did any other issues occur during the process which caused some people to be missed.

I have been going through this thread to verify that users were properly identified. As an example, Mutiny, the OP of this thread. I can see that you qualified for the email, and are on the list of people who received emails. So now I am checking on our side to ensure that users like you were in fact properly sent their email.

I will let you know what I find out!

I haven't got it yet. I do normally get SWTOR emails also.

  2. Congrats to HikariChino, Trosebabe, and Inspirator who had the correct answer of Sniper! I will be sending each of you a PM with a CC code.

Next question. What State did I live in before moving to Texas to work at BioWare? Again, first 3 to answer correctly win a prize!

    Pennsylvania

  3. I feel like speeders and mounts need some adjustment to make them work better.

    1) Protection vs getting knocked off speeders -

RIght now, even when using a speeder that says it has excellent protection against being knocked off it is common to be knocked off in one hit. It does not seem like this feature is even working, or if so, it isn't providing enough protection to be noticeable.

This goes along with #1: Your own defenses seem to be the only real protection vs getting knocked off. A heavy armor wearer will automatically be harder to knock off than a light/medium. If you are tank spec'd the protection is even more. I feel like a characters stats should not come into effect for knock off protection. The speeder itself should protect you and it should be the same for everyone (depending on the speeders level of protection)

    2) Speeders don't 'hover' properly. Right now speeders do not act like they are floating vehicles. They bump into small objects and stop rather than float over them. They also sink into shallow water rather than floating on top of it as they should.

    3) Capes etch and Speeders. Capes need to be disabled or fixed so they do not flip through mounts. It looks silly to see a cap hanging through a mount.

  4. well just because you started at 50 did not mean you had the exact same XP on both. You could have easily been +/- a few 100k XP on one or the other which would explain the difference. The only way would be to actually look at the total rewards for all the quests sum them up and compare.

They where all just barely 50, all within the first 1/4 of a level. Not nearly enough to make more than 400k worth of exp difference in end result.

  5. With the 12x exp bonus, a 10% guild bonus and using a 25% general exp boost this is what I found:

On the Empire side if you start at 50 and do just the primary quest line through Ilum you will end up at around level 54 1/2 by the time you finish. (I did this twice and same both times)

However, on the Republic side you get to about 53 1/2 doing the same thing. There appears to be at least 1 fewer exp reward on the quest line.

  6. I agree with the body thing. The one issue is if they are currently having to make a separate 'model' for each wearable to fit each body type they could not easily make the bodies adjustable.

Faces would be an area they could revamp with little to no adjustment to gear. Sliders for adjusting eyes, nose, mouth, face shape etc would be great. Also, things like cypernetics and makeup should not be tied to face shape at all. (imo cyborg should not be a race, it should be an option on all races.)

  7. I was doing some of the level 47-50 'bonus series' missions lately and noticed a problem; There are quite a few Heroic 4 and Heroic2 quests in those areas but nobody around to do them with.

Since these areas are not part of the main planet progression, I would like to suggest that they be converted to soloable quests. It'd be nice to be able to see the stories for all these quests on these areas.

Its also a problem at other bonus series areas as well. Rarely enough people around willing to do the heroics. I'd suggest any Heroic quests on the Nar Shadda, Alderaan, Hoth, Belsavis and Voss Bonus Series shouldnt be Heroics.

  8. Recently I've noticed that sometimes my Boots and/or Belt will revert to their original colors rather than matching chest color like all the rest of my gear. I usually notice it when I enter a conversation for a quest but it may be related to travelling rather than the actual conversation. I haven't been able to recreate the bug but it has happened quite a few times as I've been playing my new trooper.
  9. I think there is a bug with companion affection gains that came around in 1.2

On my Sith Warrior I tend to take the 'evil' choices which Vette doesn't like, so when I see one of those I ESC the conversation then dismiss her. Then I redo the conversation again. I wont see an affection LOSS icon appear, but when the quest finishes I still get hit with the loss as if Vette was actually in the conversation with me. (it shows the loss in the quest complete window and she does loose the points)

Before 1.2 this did not happen, I could dismiss a companion and redo a conversation so I would NOT lose the affection.

  10. My i7 plays just fine. There are places in the game that load a bit slowly or get 'jerky' but those are an issue with the game that does that for every computer not just the one I have an i7 in. Most of the game, however, is smooth regardless (even by the GTN on the fleet).
