  1. This is something i find really annoying and would like to see changed. As the title states, the Assassins Deflection ability when used puts us out of stealth. I cant understand why it has been desinged like this. We are light armoured, and the ability is on a 2 minute cool down and only increasses our defense for 12 seconds.

     

    It hardly makes us OP. It is something i like to buff myself with before entering combat but i cant when i need to use stealth to get there. No other buff knocks us out of stealth, even buffs from other classes.

     

    Id like to believe this just an over sight that hasn't been fixed because i cant see why it it is like this.

  2. Yeah this is happened to me many times as well. At least if it didn't instant kill the player you could fight back. Or hell, "get the ball accross the line any way you can". Well the ball DID cross the line. It should be given as a score :)
  3. Yep I don't even have spike hot keyed :( It just doesn't do enough damage per force and the 2 second stun is too short when we have a 1.5 second GCD. If the stun was even increased to 3 seconds then it would be a lot more useful. Right now I would rather open with VS as it does more damage and can proc other abilities.

     

    If I remember correctly it's also an ability we get at higher levels, as in I remember looking forward to getting it as I wanted to add it to my routine as an opener from stealth and I was VERY underwhelmed by it.

  4. I have been playing a lot today as i had the day of work and i lost count how many times this crappy user interface bugged on me. I'm standing there pressing abilities which i have hot keyed and NOTHING happens, or my avatars animation plays for a split second and it looks like they are doing a dance.

     

    It really is the worse thing about this game. How did you get it so wrong BW?. You had the experience of the Mytic guys, 5 years of development and much improved technology to choose from compared to older MMO's..... How come they have got it working so smooth and SWTOR can't?.

     

    It is so frustrating to play with.

  5. My bigget complaint is the GCD. I have made numerous posts about it but 1.5 sec is too long. For a ranged char it might be fine but for a melee DPS when u factor in lag for both local and server it ruins the fluidity of the combat.

     

    I would love it to be lowered to 1sec to see how it plays out. I have also tried stacking alacrity but as i taught i has no effect on our melee abilities that i could see.

  6. I think the duration of some of the CC's is a bit long. There is some (not sure what ones) that stun you for about 8 seconds and don't break even upon taking damage. I have often been stunned and dropped without even getting an ability off.
  7. I loved PVP in Eve Online because there was actual loss. It had a death penalty, you could actually hurt your enemy, cost them money. It forced people to play smart, improve themselves. It was also good for the player driven economy as new equipment/ships were then needed, materials were needed, blueprints were needed.

     

    This game is a carebear's wet dream. There is NO death penalty what so ever. Nothing to force people to care about dying, no benefit to kill your enemy, no reason to kill anyone except just for the hell of it.

     

    I have often killed myself rather than have to travel back somewhere just because its faster....any game that people will do this has way too soft a death penalty.

  8. Also what you need to be looking out for is that many of these afk'ers are actually the alts of the other people playing the warzone. Keep an eye on who is playing while the warzone is running and you might see a pattern. Best to catch the main char too.
  9. Yes, i really dislike the 1.5 second GCD. It is too long for me. I find it takes away the fluidity of melee combat. For range it is much easier to live with, but 1.5 second GCD + Lag is an eternity in a PVP fight.

     

    Top it off with the poor UI and ability lag we experience creates a very frustrating experience. Even alacrity does not reduce it at all.

     

    Surely this can be reduced in this day and age, things must of progressed since 10 years ago.

  10. Just noticing more of the effects on this and moving while trying to cast the ability compounds the problem even more. And it's not just attacking either, I have 2 abilities as a assassin, one for removing effects & 1 for going invisible.

     

    Often I'm running in a direction with for example a cc that slows me. On my hot key I have the ability to remove the effect. So I press and press and I can see it activate on my local UI on my screen yet NOTHING happens. I then have to stop moving, stand still and then press it for it to activate.

     

    Another big is with the "not enough force" red error. For example, I have a maul attack which takes up to 25 force to use. If I start pressing this ability while not having enough force points I get the error. I can look at my force points regenerating and when I get to 25 and over it still says it. I watch my force grow to 35- 40 points and I still get the error. I have had to wait so long at times that my bar gets to 45 - 50 force points before the ability activates.

     

    This is horrendous for a melee DPS charactor.

  11. Thanks for showing us an official recognition of the problem SnakeBites. At least it might shut people up who come onto the thread to say its "working properly" or "your not playing right bla bla". ITS BROKEN.

     

    It is so frustrating :( and for me its by far my biggest problem with the game. I wonder when they will talk about it publicly as they promised in the link???

  12. Yep i have the same as well. UI engine has some fault with it.

     

    Another one i can reproduce easy even in PVE (and if someone else here could try to reproduce it would be helpful) is my UI is NOT in sync with the rest of the game. I.E drain my force to 0 and keep pressing my Maul which is a 25 force ability,it will keep saying the "not enough force" red error above the char as you would expect. However, i keep pressing and watch the force bar regen OVER 25 and it still says the error. I do have to wait about 2 more seconds and watch the bar regen to around 50 sometimes before the ability actually activates. All the while it telling me "not enough force" red error.

     

    The UI also does this in PVP with not recognizing the proper enemy state. It gives them red errors for a second or two and THEN finally the ability activates.

     

    The UI is definitely out of sync with the games actually stats/variables. Its not lag either as my ping is always low and my FPS is not a problem either. Its just the UI not responsive enough, coupled with a 1.5sec global cool-down on everything :(

  13. My main frustration is not that i noticed FPS drop/Big game lag but i am finding massive abilities lag. I often find myself pressing and pressing and pressing a key with nothing happening at times.
  14. My only point of agreement would be the " Lower GCD. The point of melee is to be faster paced combat".

     

    I find this VERY frustrating :(. Press the ability + lag to record keypress + game lag + 1.5sec GCD..... then press next ability, wait another 1.5 secs, press next ability....wait another 1.5 secs.....and let's be honest the UI isn't exactly perfect either which also adds to the problem.

     

    I find its too much, it takes a away lot of the fluidity in PVP melee combat. I don't find it a problem in PVE, but PVP is much faster paced and I notice it a lot here. I would really like to see the GCD reduced.

     

    I even tried reducing it by stacking Alacrity for a test and I noticed no discernable decrease in my GCD :(
