  3. Impside: toddy, lormaru, xi'ao, rikudo/goose Pubside: drewbacca, tyious, holywar, magister. As for pubs winning everytime, its because they have more premades, if you run with a group of bros and use VoIP you will have a much better time. I have tried other ships but nothing really catches my fancy like the mangler. I don't really like how difficult it is to blaster someone up close, kind of unreliable even in a scout. I have started branching out more to a sting but I feel bad getting carried through the learning process. My best advice for others on impside is to group up with all of us when you see us on, we would rather have yall than the porkins (f2p baddies) we usually get. oh, one more thing, gunships run because if they don't they get run through. Its really the only counter to close range combat with a scout, which is completely negated if u sap their engine power before you lay in. just think about it like this, if he's running away he can't kill anyone, just switch targets. They will probably be back, but you will be ready for them this time.

  5. This is what I have gotten so far. Would you suggest using kd serendip. relic instead of dreadforged for the double proc? Also, would you recommend using 6 accuracy enh or 5 and be slightly under the cap (with 1 augment). Any suggestions for my rotation? I have tried to recreate this parse 100 times now and just keeps getting worse when I try to make changes. http://www.torparse.com/a/610403 It's the bottom parse btw.
  6. 11/2/33 DOTSMASH Gear is 6 accuracy/power enh and 1 power/surge enh for this one (with one of the accuracy ones being high end version). rest is identical (except i changed out the accuracy augment on my wrist for a str one.) i could probably do much much better, something just clicked on this one haha!   8. I second this, or something similar at least. Maybe make a different tier for after 2.6 or something. I believe they are doing something similar to this in the world dps thread. I mean it is the 2.5+ dps thread right?   9. For pve I agree with you for the most part. I also think the order is slightly skewed, as I cant play dotsmash for canned dog**** in pve on alot of fights because all the movement (Just saying that for me though, I'm sure someone else could do much better). Things would have to line up for me pretty well for it to work out (as i have played carnage exclusively since before 2.0.) Either way, the on demand burst of carnage is better for alot of fights due to the nature of the mechanics. Not to say you couldn't easily do these fights without any carnage marauders at all (or marauders in general for that matter), but the way the fights are tailored right now there are only a few places where anni shines brighter than carn or dotsmash. It should be easier to manage during a fight, but when the fights all consist of small burst phases followed by nonactivity due to mechanics, carn will always seem like the clear victor, or at least a main contender (sans aoe adds for dotsmash). I think the problem lies within the way the fights are designed and not so much the way the spec is played. Look at the brontes fight for one. You simply dont have enough time to set up perfect dps for 70% of the fight and sustain it long enough to come out on top of the other two specs. Again this is not to say that it can not be done, on the contrary. It is beyond doable to play watchman/anni in a raid and be plenty useful to everyone. It indeed does have beastly sustained dps, and if you dont believe me look at the parses in the world dps thread to verify (for 8 and 16m hm). It's just not fotm for pve parsing because unintended hybrid is the clear victor here (its basically anni but replacing annihilate with smash, which is an aoe attack that hits just as hard on 5 targets, with a much easier rotation and less rng involved in your crits). Anni doesnt need a buff (unless you are talking about making it more viable in pvp, maybe turning your dots uncleanseable for a certain amount of time or something.) But imo anni is powerful enough in pve to justify its existence. I have done brontes hm with an anni marauder and had zero problems with mechanics. Its not like that anni maras slow sustained dmg buildup stopped us from anally ****** those adds before the laser hit them. And i also think once they patch out dotsmash, and modify all the df and dp hm bosses hp values and dps requirements for nim, anni will have a chance to be top again on a lot of fights. EDIT- Sorry for rant. This is just my two cents. I punctuated it as good as possible for it being 530 am and not having slept in over a day after a hardy night at the bar!

  13. I support this, although I have no way to do it myself. I'd watch a video of you parsing for sure though, I kind of wish some of those "freak of nature" parses had videos accompanying them so at least I knew it was possible!!!!   14. LoL I have actually raided w/ group 1 in my guild and we killed it on the first cycle. I was carn obviously. Dat burst. Me and ranick in carn do *********** work LOL. And I know exactly what you mean about freaks of nature. Take the highest carn parse in the world (last time I checked): http://www.torparse.com/a/527603/4. Now compare it to my highest carn parse: http://www.torparse.com/a/558400 . Our ability usage is almost exactly the same. Like damn near ability for ability used. It's almost like he or someone took those dmg numbers (the yellow ones that were lower on mine) and multiplied it by some small decimal number after a 1 (1.02 would be a good example). Hmmmmmm..... How hard would it be to detect this? I'm guessing its impossible. All it would take is some basic math and some copy and paste plus deleting the excess dmg and VOILA! 3750 parse as carn. I'm not really accusing him of anything, maybe hes just THAT lucky. I have no idea how to go about proving otherwise. Also, look at the last few lines of the top mara parse in the world. 200k dmg in one hit? mmkay.... sure.   15. Oh I know about double procs. Just that it only double procs from heals. Cant do that in carn really (I guess you could but it would be almost pointless because carn dots dont really crit that often). But yeah was just dropping in to say its still a legit parse, even though one day soon I think the spec will be killed off with the rest of the hybrids most likely (during 2.7). I wish carn had the more reliable vicious throws that this spec has. Execute range is INSANE. But all in all I just couldnt get the spec to flow for me on some boss fights, and respeccing 20 times per raid is too much work for me. I like to be lazy. If things weren't up during a burst dps phase, then its potential drops significantly. Take calphayus at the end of the fight for example. Not enough time to get set up to dps before he becomes invincible again (not that you would absolutely need to anyways, the fight is a joke) but could become problematic in nim progression. EDIT- Also, what in the world do you mean anni needs a boost? you mean for pvp? As far as I know the highest parsing maras (on the dummy at least) are anni.
  16. Theoretically the pre building of fury stacks is possible on a boss fight even as the hybrid. Extremely time consuming and kind of dumb, but nonetheless possible. You just spec into carn really quickly, brood, respec (lightning fast) and they pull before the minute of it is up. I'm honestly done with the hybrid for the time being, I'll stick to carnage, even though it was a good change of pace. Sadly, carnage doesnt do as well at TTK as alot of other single target sustained dps classes do, but it performs better on alot of boss fights than the hybrid does unless the stars align perfectly (for me at least). It just didn't flow as well as carnage for me. Plus mailing over my snipers accuracy/power enh gets really old and really expensive really fast. #CANTWEALLJUSTGETALONG
  17. I have played carn for well over a year now exclusively. I can honestly say I might figure this out for raids ROFL. After a day with this spec I've already parsed higher than any carn parse I ever put out, and with little effort. My gear isnt even optimized yet! http://www.torparse.com/a/565736 Seems to do a bit better for me on single target fights because of the slight ramp up time (its a bit longer than carn and harder to manage, even though less abilities used.) I'm kind of conflicted about dst usage as it def hits alot harder than in carn, but gives you no fury, and it seems like your main goal should be getting those smashes out with berserk up, using deadly saber pretty much on cd, and BUILDIING FURY FOR BERSERK. lol I will continue to play around with it some more. Do you think its safe to say that if you have to use assault you ****ed something up? Thx again lafy for getting me back into parsing, it sucks seeing operatives and mercs doing more burst AND sustained than maras.

Plus I don't want to have to redo it every time I parse as carn. I switched out all but 1 of my power/surge enh for accuracy/power, and 2 of the accuracy power are the high end version. Also, got rid of the accuracy augment and switched it for str. ps- I'm coming for you lafy!!!!! UPDATE- http://www.torparse.com/a/565736 4:36:238s ttk Also, once I learn to stop sucking with the rotation its going to be pretty kick *** on alot of bosses I think.

Parsec read 3606 dps and torparse reads 3578, something fishy going on between the two, I have never seen a discrepancy of that much. EDIT- It appears if you hit the dummy for more hp than it has left, parsec counts the dmg of the last hit over the remaining hp it has, where torparse just disreguards the hit completely. Not sure what to do about this lol. Seems like that damage is kind of important, and if I remember correctly the dummy had something like 5k hp left and I hit it w/ the first two ticks of ravage, plus dual saber throw at the exact time ravage ticked. After a bit more investigating you can actually crop it with torparses cropping tool to show this dmg. After cropping it from 5:48:16 to 5:52:56 (instead of the 5:52:55 it automatically sets it at) you can see the rest of the hit. 3599.51 dps. Not sure where that extra 7 dps from parsec comes from though >.<. Yall figure it out hahahah. It actually does affect ttk, but not by more than 1 second or anything yet. Without the dmg it shows 4.39.095s and with it you see a ttk of 4.39.602s so... almost half a second?

Might try something good just for parses to get higher, specing into brutality instead of decreased aoe dmg but its just for the dummy. Might be beneficial (increased crit% on vicious throw)
