  1. So I am working on finally maxing out my companion's affection to 10k. Other than taking less tine to gather and craft, and + to crit chance, what benefit will it give my character. I heard somewhere that it gives permanent stat bonuses + to accuracy, crit chance, etc... 1.do I just have to max out my 5 companions on this toon to get the permanent stat bonuses, or do I have to max out all companions with different toons? 2. do I just need to get them to max affection 10k/10k, or do I have to complete all conversations? 3. where do I find these bonuses in the codex?
  2. I have a question. With 2.7, they are adding a new set of pvp gear that will be available for ranked comms. Assuming conquerors will go away and the obroan set will be available at reg comm prices. Are we going to need to trade in the obroan gear for the new gear along with the ranked comm price just as we have to now?
  3. I guess the reason I suggested this is because I would really like to see some sort of jet pack animation! Wouldn't it be sweet if our BHs could jet pack in, or jet pack out of combat??
  4. Hydrolic overrides is meh.. Let's face it. It's our only /sigh "escape" when we get focused in wzs.. Which we all know we are the first focus targets. How about we get a jetpack escape/leap with a cool down similar to exfiltrate OPs have? A new ability would calm the community and give mercs at least SOME survivability in pvp. It could be on a cool down with jet boost and would activate a jetpack animation jumping into or out of combat. Thoughts? Feedback?
  5. I have full conquerors gear, with obroan main hand blaster. I am grinding out for the full obroan set. Is it possible to achieve 100% accuracy once I get there? or should I be collecting a different armor set all together. My accuracy now is froze at 95.5%. Is 100% necessary? I mainly do PvP thanks!
  6. I'm working on getting my conquerors set now. Plugging In the admiring and mods into my orange gear. My bolster in wzs is 1896... Is this really Gimping me?
  7. and once I pull out the mods and put them into their respective slots, how will I know if I have the bonus activated?
  8. I don't understand... do I have to quip the shell to get the bonus? or do I get the bonus if I remove the mods from the shell and put them into my orange gear? I just don't like the look of the conquerors
  9. so heres a question... if I have the full conquerors set which gives the set bonus, can I keep the set bonus for having all the pieces if I remove the mods? I wan to put the mods into my current orange moddable gear but I need to know if I need to have the shell equipped to retain the set bonus... please help!
  10. Who are the successful ranked wz mercs out there? Any? I'd love to hear your strategies, compare builds, gear, etc..
  11. Ok I've just returned to the game and have been trying to get my conquerors armor set. I have the blasters for both hands so far. My other gear is all orange modded with 28 Augs geared with aim.. And my build is 0/10/36 No matter what build I try, in pvp, I get stunned and killed constantly. I cannot move, and my damage has never been over 200k and I go down almost instantly. With this being the case, I'm barely getting more that 6-7 medals per match. I guess what I'm really wondering is... Is the merc/ pyrotech worth trying to play in wars zones, or am I just wasting my time? Or, am i just plain doing it wrong? Do I need to have maxed pvp gear to be competitive? Does anyone have success with merc/pyrotech? I could really use some insight Thanks in advance
  12. With such long, close games, I'd expect a higher kill count tbh.
  13. This is a good idea. in SWG, we had open world sandbox style space maps where you could fly around and then flag yourself for pvp or overt. You could also target a friendly or non overt player and challenge them to a duel, which they would have to accept. It's great for trying new builds, training new pilots, and something to do to kill boredom. /support this
  14. Strikers getting some love with a new EMP missile, and railguns taking a hit that require a minimum charge to be fired... Im also excited about the new req gain breakdown! Ships and Hangar•The dialog for new purchases within the Hangar has been enhanced to show the exact breakdown of Fleet and Ship Requisition to be used. •Bomber base shields have been reduced to be on-par with Gunships, while their hull remains stronger than Strike Fighters. •Selected ships can now be removed from the Readied Ship menu. •Railgun weapons now require a minimum charge before firing. Environments•Several force fields have been removed from the Abandoned Shipyards level in Domination mode. Components and Crew•New Component: EMP Missile – The EMP Missile is now available for the Pike and Quell Strike Fighters! •The EMP Missile is a counter to clustered enemies or mines and drones. •On impact, it emits a 3000m radius pulse which damages and disables mines and drones. •Any player ship caught in the blast will suffer minor damage, but have their systems rendered unusable. read them al here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=715988
  15. I wouldn't be opposed to this, but yea you can edit your UI. I would definitely like to see something implemented to label which gunship secondary is selected though
  16. How else are they supposed to learn and get better? Not by quitting that's for sure
  17. It's "THE HOSE"! AKA "Laser Bukakke" So OP'd
  18. Remember the song, "WAR! What is it good for, absolutely nothing! ...Good god" Well this topic makes me think of that. I use the quell when I just want to sit back and lob protons and concs at people. It's a fairly fun ship to play, but if I want to be effective, sting or GS is the way I go. Hopefully when bombers arrive they'll be somewhat effective against those. Ps I know you all have that song stuck in your head now
  19. Woa woa woa, hold the phone... What is this "Gunshipe" thing you're speaking of?
  20. In the last week or so I have definitely seen more names of those queing for GSF on Pot5. The pilot channel is great on the imp side ( not sure about the pubs) for getting ppl grouped up. Depending on when I log in, Death squadron may have a full group or two. I'll ask on the pilot channel is anyone wants to group and I usually get at least 3 takers. Lately some names I have never heard of. This is a good sign that ppl are looking to play, and the community is promoting it by grouping with unknowns, givin tips, and even getting guild recruits. Grouping keeps the que pop times to a minimum so it's constant action. I'm excited that preferred access goes live this week!
