In the situation of Immortal vs Rage I find myself prefering Rage (as far as lv 40) now the question Is, how does Rage compare to Veng?

I will sometimes be playing alone and sometimes be with a guild group, usually with that group there is 1 of 2 healer's both which I work well with, but I was thinking that Immortal sure me and a healer could fight crazy odd's and still last a long enough time to distract them from the objective and the team score / cap but if I was rage wouldn't I be able to do the same but kill them quicker and get back to trying to score / cap?

Ty for the information, as far as "If you tank alot" that's a no, this character is purely for pvp content, so far it looks like I'm leaning towards dps gear and trying both specs for myself.

I understand the role of each spec, I want to know how well being Immortal with dps gear does, I love the amount of cc I get as Immortal but I do not know how much dmg I would gain /how much survival I would lose/ if its even viable etc. Or if Rage / Venge spec's would better fulfill the role I want to play at 50.

Basically my thought process is this Immortal jug in tank gear Survival ~ 9 Dmg ~ 4 Rage jug in dps gear Survival ~ 5 Dmg ~ 8 So then Immortal jug in dps gear should be around Survival ~ 7 Dmg ~ 6

Atm I have a lv 38 Immortal jug and I love the class, I'm currently leveling this toon with a friend who is a healer and when we do some pvp I usually have his pocket heals and we take on 3-5 people and win sometimes, When I hit 50 I'm not going to have the comfort of a pocket healer all the time so I fear that as immortal I wont have enough dps to kill players quickly before more and more start to pile me. I understand that Immortal is more for objective play and tanking objective but I feel that as a dps spec I can manage CD's well enough to moderately serve that purpose and also deal enough dmg to dispatch enemies more effectively. My big question If I were to continue as Immortal but at lv 50 used the dps gear would I acheive the goal of having alot of utility and also a decent amount of dmg, or if for my goal I should try vengeance / Rage? If any further explanation for my goal is required from my part feel free to ask. As a 50 Assassin, I can say that unless I have the correct procs / CD's used, my dmg is horrible, I feel that most ranged classes can deal twice as much dmg as me with half the effort, but hopefully Bioware will fix this eventualy, after all the game is pretty new.
