Alright so I am a level 400 armstech and a 50 sniper. I am trying to unlock the artifact schematic of the wraith sniper rifle through dismantling the blue version of it. I just unlocked an artifact schematic version, however it does not have the stats that I want. I unlocked the Commando version, while I am looking for the one with +crit. My question is: Should I continue dismantling the blue version for the next artifact version of the rifle with +crit? Or do I have a better chance of unlocking the other artifact version by dismantling the Commando artifact version I currently unlocked?

youre over thinking it...im not asking to be able to shoot lasers and blow through walls...just a little bit of realism to help bring me into the game...this cartoon stuff should have died with WoW and disney's toontown.

right, thats my point. they were looking to the present, not the future...thats why their lack of forsight will mean SWTOR will pay as a game and a community within the year....they just care about the initial boxed copy sales, and the first few months of monthly fees. if they didn't they would have put out a game that is very demanding, and let computers grow into that at a more leisurely pace...thus ensuring that SWTOR remains top notch for many years. Alas, here we are. Oh well. I'll still play til the next mmo innovation, aka guild wars 2.

somehow i think a dynamic star wars mmo with destructable environments, and life like graphics would not be seen as a WoW clone...haha.

All they would have to do is discuss using the upcoming Frostbite 2 engine...(converse with DICE, another EA based developer)...and then work in an mmo from there. Would be so epic...instead...cartoon star wars that plays like WoW. Such potential wasted.

is it possible for bioware to switch the assets to a different more in-house engine at some point in the future? Or are we as players screwed.

still a 9.5/10 for me. I find no problem getting pugs for flashpoints and have done each one so far. I an enjoying crafting and unlocking artifact recipes, and I am enjoying the story, gameplay, and quests. Voss and Belsalvis were amazing imo...actually I think I enjoyed all the planets except for nar shadaa. Good job, bioware. The only fear I have is that the whiners who say the game is too hard, or that unlocking artifact recipes takes too long get their voices heard...as it stands I am content with the game's challenge and crafting mechanics. Well done bioware. I look forward to the future.

lvl 48 with 8 days play time...have no crashes or bugs yet. idk what you people are doing but its probably your fault.

no global cooldowns...no pvp grinding...no grinding at all...skill based gameplay...gah..........................*goes and gets drunk* happy new year.

actually i can't wait to fully develop and master the sniper...then ill make an alt.

i do the daily warzone, daily ship fights, and have run every flashpoint so far. And let me say that "war games" fp at lvl 41 was absolutely amazing. I wish more FPs were like that. I have organized at least 10 world boss raids from nar shadaa to hoth and although the loot system needs to be improved, as an mmo vet for over 10 years I know improvements will come. I am so excited to see what else is in store, maxing my crafting (getting all purple versions), upgrading gear, running operations, and doing hard modes, as well as running alts. So much to do. Are some things buggy a lil bit? Sure. Do I care? Nope. You know why? Because it just adds to the challenge and as a man who loves demons souls, dark souls, action games like devil may cry, ninja gaiden, bayonetta, etc. and beat them all on their hardest difficulties let me say, bioware, feel free to polish the game but your game will only fail if you make it easy. Keep the challenges high and the game will succeed. 9/10 still for me.

LOTRO and FFXI had pretty good story missions for MMOs.

I am really getting into crafting and Hoth is awesome. The story is awesome. Flashpoints are awesome (OMG @ FOUNDRY). Looking forward to updates. Level 50 will include me doing operations, and mastering all of my crafting recipes...along with getting all companions to 10000 affection. After, and only after, I will roll an alt...the game will never end for me!!!! <3 (Still want GW2 but this is a great tide-me-over)

Actually it is 100% open world and fully dynamic questing. Learn to google.

as much as im enjoying TOR, I Know GW2 will be a revolutionary step for MMOs and am really looking forward to playing it.

OP bought an MMO expecting a shooter.

I am not rushing and am enjoying the story and other aspects letting the levels come on their own. Since it is winter break and I have a lot of time on my hands and so I am playing TOR. Yesterday I spent most of the day leading World Boss raids across Nar Shaddaa, Tatooine, Alderaan, and Taris. Fighting them multiple times in different planet-instances. It was a blast. I didn't get much xp but the fights were really fun and has sparked my interest in future operations and raiding in TOR. Also, I just unlocked another purple recipe for armstech and the crafting is addicting as ever. When I hit 50 I can see myself discovering all the purples I can, while pvping and doing operations and leveling alts. When BW releases more content like legacy features and warzones then that will be gravy. All in all, if you rushed to 50 I am sorry for you. If you are enjoying the story, and other features like myself that I know the devs spent many man hours working on I think you will be having fun just like me.
