  1. As I said before, if they somehow remove that feature it is okay. As it is right now, you can chose between 2 features. And it isn't the players fault if they use legacy gear over the Collections system. It is a poor argument to ban players for using a feature that is in game for quite a time.
  2. Maybe because for the guys who DOESN'T have a legacy weapon? Why should I be forced to use the unlocks if I can make use of another feature, the legacy weapons? That's what happens when you can chose between 2 features. Maybe you are blind?
  3. It still remains the fact, that legacy gear is working as intended. So you are using the legacy feature over the Collections feature. Ergo it's not stealing. You are just using a feature that is in game for several months now.
  4. I always like when people are comparing games to RL issues. It's not like BW has to pay for more "crystals" when you send them over to your other toons. While I agree that it would harm a restaurant if you just supply your food to another one in your family without paying, there is no damage made to BW. BW doesn't need to buy more capacities, more servers, more staff or whatever to "deliver" these crystals. If it wasn't possible to send over the crystals with legacy gear, the players just wouldn't care. So it's either: Send them over to all your alts with legacy gear, or if this is not possible, just don't care about your alts and move on. Players who really want that unlock will buy it. Point.
  5. And again, it's not stealing if you send over the free copies from your toon. You can't steal something that is free in the first place. It would be stealing if you unlock copies on an Alt without paying the CC. You obviously don't know what that word means. If my Alt hijacked my main char and just draw some bloody crystals then it would be stealing. Legacy gear makes it obsolete to use the collections system according to crystals. That is what Legacy gear is meant to be. If BW didn't think about this before, it's their fault.
  6. Then let me quote you again: Here you say that clever players used it as mod mules and it wasn't intended to work in this way. That's why I disagree with you. You say in general that the gear isn't working as intended. And I can just repeat myself, you do not need to be clever to figure that out. Even the most stupid BW Dev knew that players will use it that way. Now they introduced the collections and maybe forgot about the legacy gear. Players were using the gear as they did pre Collections. And stealing is a hard wording here. You can't steal something that you get for free on your toon that can make endless amounts of free duplicates. It would be stealing if you somehow manage to get one crystal for free in the first place, either by hacking the packs or the CM in general. But well, I guess you never understand players who aren't defending BW 100%. Yes, it was a poor concept when they introduced the collections and "forgot" about the legacy gear. But players are always going the easiest way. And banning them for using the legacy gear feature over the Collections feature is in my opinion wrong. If you have the freedom to chose between a feature that only costs credits (to extract) or paying CC, the player with more credits will use legacy gear while the player with more real cash will buy it with CC.
  7. So wait, first you say it's a loophole to send over mods/armorings/crystals blabla and it was not meant to be working in that way, now where I ask you for what reason you use your legacy gear you compare it with the collections again? I clearly stated that it shouldn't be possible to send over duplicated crystals. However, I do NOT agree that the legacy gear is in general not working as intended. Besides the fact that you are always defending BW, I just try to get a clue for what reason you use your legacy gear. As you said, only clever players "abused" it to send over mods or whatever.
  8. You don't even need to be clever to figure that out. Else all SWTOR players are highly genius, or all BW Developers are dumb as hell. Legacy gear is not a loophole. It is working as intended. When they gave us the first legacy weapon in August last year during the chevin event, there were a lot of threads where players "thanked" BW for that cause they now can send over bound color crystals. At the same time there were threads where players were asking when we get a legacy saber so we can as well send over Hilts. (At the chevin event you could only get the crossbows which are using barrels) So, if it was a loophole don't you think they would have already fixed it months ago? No, they gave us even more legacy gear with the Gree event. THEY KNEW THAT PLAYERS ARE USING THIS GEAR TO SEND OVER MODS/COLOR CRYSTALS! Now, when it comes up to their CM and cash, it is suddenly an exploit and they ban players? Come on Andryah, you can't be serious. May I ask you for what reason you use your legacy gear? You really never sent over a single Mod to another toon?
  9. Andryah, what purpose should legacy gear have in your opinion then? Send it over empty to use it on your other chars? Then when you want that (ugly) look on another toon at some point, remove all mods and send it empty to that specific new toon? You obviously troll - or you do not have a clue at all.
  10. Still, since I own these crystals it is my gosh damn right to send them over to my other toons. If this means it unlocks the collection on that specific char, it is not my fault. I payed for these crystals, so I can send them over to any toon of my desire. But yeh, making free copies and send over the copies is something that shouldn't be possible. In the end, the collections feature and the legacy gear feature have a huge conflict. And again, not the player's fault, it is BW's fault. Everyone with a little bit of understanding would have spotted that within the first 5 minutes, as I did.
  11. That is so wrong. The purpose of legacy gear was always to send over bound mods/hilts/barrels/armorings/enhancements to your alts. Else it would be useless. No one is using the gear cause it looks awesome. (Maybe except of the Gree sabers). What I did the past months is an exploit as well in your opinion then? I bought 2 level 10 crystals (+41 stats) from the CM and used it on a toon I leveled up. Once I was done with that char and wanted to level up another one, I sent over the 2 crystals to that one instead of buying another pack of 2 crystals. Every player who has legacy weapons did that. It is a feature that is working as intended. Now all of a sudden they mark their own feature as an exploit. As I do agree that white crystals shouldn't be spammed and lose it's rare status, you can't ban players just because they use an ingame feature that's working as intended. The failure on this is 100% up to BW, not the players and banning them is the worst action they could take about it. But lately I am not wondered anymore....
  12. Wonder what's going at Austin. Maybe they should fire the monkey who is responsible for bans and hire a cat. Would even fit better now where we have the cathar.
  13. I wouldn't change anything at all about the event, as it was by far the best event ever in this game. Maybe recolor the rakghoul pets so we get some other colored ones.
  14. I wonder what would happen in the following scenario: You have 2 bound white Hawkeye crystals on your main character. You duplicate 2, send over the 2 non duplicated ones as they are not the for free ones. I mean, that's what players are doing since we got the first legacy weapons at the chevin event. And now all of a sudden they mark a feature they gave us as an exploit? Come on BW, this is so wrong and you know it.
  15. So, in your opinion my Core i7 3770k, 16GB RAM, GTX 580, running SWTOR on a SSD is still to weak for the game? Wake up! The engine is poor. Point.
  16. Yeh. that's the point. From Day 1 until now there wasn't an increase of the overall performance. I mean, we are 1 1/2 years after launch and still the engine can't handle to have more than 8 players at the same location. The engine is bad, that's fact. And it looks like they just can't do anything about it. I think if they could they would already have fixed it. Only solution would be to use a completely different engine. But that will never happen. And because of that we will never see an increased performance.
  17. Your logic makes no sense at all. If you can coordinate a team in a pug nwz, you are not worse than a guy in a rwz team. I would even say you are better because in a rwz team you... - use teamspeak/ventrilo whatever to communicate - you play with the same guys over and over again (not hard to spot your healers/tanks whatever) - you improve the team's overall performance over time just because of experience you collect Most of the "top rwz players" I see solo in nwz's fail like hell if they don't have a healer in their back. So yeh, this topic should be called best of each class (only rwz players). Now, feel free to flame me. Wasn't my intention to cut your e-peen, just wanted to point out my thoughts.
  18. Very good post OP, reflects my overall opinion as well. Guess I can just copy/paste your text once my last day of subscription has come. Good luck out there!
  19. Sorry to say Damion, but it feels like your team can't catch up with all the features that are implemented: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=642397
  20. If you haven't noticed it, my last post was meant to be a joke. Get over it!
  21. The TORtanic is sinking. All these new feature are meant to ban/get rid of players. What has happened the past weeks is so entertaining. Most of my free-time I am spending now on the forums instead of in the game. Guess when I decide to resub it is only because I have access to the forums.
  22. Yeh, just typing the email. This is one (there were loads) of the biggest jokes they ever made. And about why people got banned. It is for sure because of that collections/crystals/legacy thing. Still can't believe they ban you for a feature. It's like they see their own feature in game as an exploit. So ridiculous.
  23. Yeh, basically when they are silent about a matter it means: We can't do a **** against it so we keep quiet and hope they won't moan about it anymore. Sad but true.
  24. Just looks like the engine can't handle it. That's why we have no chat bubbles. And that's why they shouldn't have introduced collections. I mean, what's next? 5 more features and we have to wait 5 minutes before the terminals are done loading. Any word on this BW? You are even aware of this?
