  1. Boredom is something that is expierenced with any game that is played a lot. Just stop playing all together, if the urge to play doesn't hit you in a week or two...then yeah, you are probally over it.
  2. I tried...but I just don't get your question/concern....why does how an alt look change your desire to play said alt? What would change in the story? You mentioned you didn't want to play through the same class story over and over...what does legacy have to do with this? What am I missing here? ....... Seriously, please somone tell me I am not insane and this post doesn't make sense. If it does, I need to see a doctor, because if it is coherent and understandable then I have suffered a stroke, and the part of my brain responisble for reading comprehension is now shut down.
  3. My issue is that a vocal part of the community continues to complain about a lack of content. As MMO players that content generally involves end game. That is where things are epic, and in many MMO's where the "story" comes to a head. But this game does not lack in "content" just end game raid content. WOW, Rift, etc, had no additional content, and rolling an alt many times meant going through the same quests for a given faction. TOR offers 8 individual stories for you to expierence, each of a high caliber. They could have used the time crafting these stories, and made more end game content, but then this would be WoW set in the Star Wars universe. The story content sets it apart, go do all of it, then say there is nothing to do. You have 8 diffrent games in your hand. Go see them.
  4. I am confused by the constant "Once you hit 50 there is nothing to do" comments I keep seeing. I just don't see how that is possible. Sure maybe there is not a lot of end game content to do, but honestly I don't think this is meant to be that kind of MMO. Where you struggle day in day out to get better gear, so you can get to the next boss, then continue to grind him down so you can get loot, so you can move on to the next guy, rinse, repeat, etc. I think if that is the type of game you want, you should have realized they sold this as a story driven MMO. The focus was fun, not being better then everyone else. You should consider playing something else, or re-evaluating the value you find in your gaming experience. Some of you that want to turn an MMO into work may find enjoyment there, that is fine, play how you want. But I think some of you just need to be reconditioned for fun. You have so long spent your days toiling away to have super leet gear, you forget to stop and smell the roses. Think about it like this, when you were 10, if someone showed you what end game raids were like, would you have played it? Could you have explained the point of it? The end goal? I went on a bit of a tangent there, I apologize. The original point of this post was to suggest some fun things for you to do, and accomplish, instead of pushing a boulder uphill only to have it roll back over you once you reach the top (in this metaphor the boulder rolling back down the hill would be a new expansion or new content) So after much delay, here is a list of stuff for you to do, in order of possible fun to be had. If you have already done all of the following, then you are beyond help at this point, I am sorry. 1. Create an alt. This should have been obvious. It isn't just leveling a new character, you have 8 different stories you can play through. 8! I have played the beginning of the majority, they are all unique and interesting, give them a go! 2. Legacy leveling This ties into the first one somewhat. Isn't that fun! Two birds with one stone! No benefits to it at the moment, but hey, what are the benefits to end game? A feeling of accomplishment correct? You can feel you accomplished something by leveling up your legacy bar all the way, before it even does anything! Good for you! That is awesome! 3. Find all the Datacrons/fill up the codex Sounds boring to me actually, but so does end game, maybe you will get a kick out of completing something like this. 4. Companion work Already maxed out on all the bestest gear? How about your companions? Have you pimped them out yet? Don't ignore them, they are your road dogs. Doing all of these should take you plenty of time, and by the time you are done, a few things may have happened on your journey. Perhaps you learned to enjoy games again, for the parts about it that are fun, and not the parts that make you feel like you are in the gaming equivalent of "Groundhog's day". If that didn't occur, then I am sure by the time you are done with all this new content will be available, and you can get your sweet fix of end game content. I know this won't help most end game content junkies, but if I can just reach one of you, then it was worth it.
  5. Or a function when posting that automatically places a comma?
  6. Did it a few nights ago. It was definitly more difficult then other fights before it, but not nearly as hard as some of you have said. After I took out the boss, I got killed by the Sith, but was able to resurect right there, healed up, then went after her at full health. Quest done.
  7. I like you OP. I am going to raise the glass of scotch I have after I tuck my children in thier beds and sit down to play this game, and toast it to you and your good health.
  8. Actually yes. I just had a problem with that, it was a positive thread, and adhered to the rules. It was shut down due to a perceived lack of "constructive communications" or the suggested lack that an intelligent conversation could not grow from it. I was appalled to see the thread get shut down with that reason, it was not gaining a huge amount of attention, and the idea that a thread gets shut down because it doesn't have the potential to turn into an important conversations seems ridiculous.
  9. I really think the answer to these woes would have been to slow down the amount you played. Or Bioware should have made it harder to cap as quickly.
  10. I play 5 hours of this game a week. I still have worlds of content to explore. It isn't about the destination, it's the journey.
  11. There is no way the developers can repel nerditude of this magnitude........ .................... hehehe...
  12. Keep the love train going people. Drive it over those agents of hate and negativity...whoops...just keep the love going.
  13. I require no reward for spreading the message of truth and love. But I would not turn it down if something ended up in my inbox
  14. Good Morning everyone! As the subject line stated, congratulations! You are a fan of SWTOR, and like playing this game! I just thought it would be nice to sit back and relax a minute amongst all the negativity on the forums, and bask in our mutual love of this MMO. Whether it be because of a love of Story driven MMO gameplay, or a love of the Star Wars universe, clearly we are on these forums because we like and enjoy this game. Ahh, it feels good to be so positive. It is easy too! Clearly we all like this game! Why would we be on the forums, posting on topics, and creating new ones if we didn't? Clearly we like this game because we are in fact playing it! Who would continue to play a game they did not enjoy? I am not a big fan of House music, or clubs. Guess where I never go? Clubs. Because I don't like it. To go somewhere I don't like would be...well idiotic. You get where I am going here folks who continue to say this game is bad, or it will be done soon? Your argument is invalid, because you are here, posting, you care enough to be here and complain, like a little boy pulling the hair of a girl he has a crush on. You love SWTOR, you want to marry it. Admit it. Bring it in for a hug. (edited for spelling)
  15. Yes. And may I add that anyone who says they don't like it, I find it odd that the even voted, or are on these forums. What happened to the good old days? When you stoped liking something, you stoped involving yourself with said thing. Odd world nowadays.
