No, since armor doesn't mitigate the overwhelming proportion of damage, and since shields and defense are largely non functional in pvp. Check out the post in the pvp forums regarding armor/defense. You're way better off taking the dps set.

I hate to tell you this buddy, but armor only mitigates kinetic and energy damage types. Going through your ability list on torhead, you have quite a few abilities that deal internal damage. Also, you neglected to mention the fact that your bubble is nigh impregnable, and that the juggernaut who crit you was unable to do much of anything for at least 9 more seconds, likely longer (1 button wonder smash spec). You telling me you just rolled over and took the death?
