This is also an awesome idea lol. I guess it is a good sign that SWTOR hasn't gone lifetime sub yet. It means relative success over its rivals, does it not?

I see all your points, really... A lifetime subscription option is risky, and pure BTP is out of the question (and unnecessary). I edited my OP to reflect this development and thank all of you who contributed. I am also working on changing the title of the thread to "Suggestion: A Lifetime Subscription Option" to better reflect what is going on. (I emailed the Community Team on this and hope it works out.) I really think adding a lifetime option isn't out of the question, and it could easily be a few years down the line as the game ages.

Well, I came to the suggestion forum for a reason... Sorry I even asked lol. I was a sub at launch and just couldn't justify subbing forever so I went FTP for a very long time. I am glad that I returned to subscribing.

Well, I had originally been thinking of a one-time BTP model taking over SWTOR, but it sounds like the a "Lifetime" subscription as you guys said would be more likely. I would be willing to fork out tons of money to get a lifetime sub for SWTOR. I've been preferred for a long time and just recently got a subscription again... And it's just so much better lol. A lifetime option would be amazing really.

^My initial post to this thread is above and was under the title of "Any way to implement a one-time purchase subscription flat fee like ESO or GW2?" I think everyone pretty much pointed out that a full on "BTP" model like the afore mentioned games could never happen, and probably never should... However, there is a much more valid and attainable suggestion to be made. (Thanks for the awesome constructive flow of discussion!) I propose adding a "lifetime" subscription option to the current hybrid system. Could this be the solution to a possibly non-existent problem? I know I would love to fork over a large sum of money for a lifetime subscription, but some people just prefer periodic subbing. There would be serious pros and cons to adding this in, but it is indeed a topic worth discussing and considering.

I was wondering if there would be transfers FROM high pop servers, such as Canderous Ordo, to lower pop servers or other high pop servers... Soon like next week? Or more like a month? If at all? If so. will it cost real money or in-game credits? Any guess or opinion is quite welcome!
