Galaxies had the best crafting, community, open world housing, and ways to get crafting materials (had a lot of fun just space mining asteroids and killing pirates for my business) ever in a game. I don't see that changing for a long long time. On the PVP side: Open world pvp guild wars, it was great putting someones player run city under a blockade, busting their bases, even putting the whole planet under a blockade. Rest in peace Ahazi

Eve isn't free to play bud. If you play the game non-stop you can make enough credits to purchase plex's, which are in-game items that give 30 days of game time. But they cost 350-500 million isk a piece and the vast majority of players can't make that much to purchase one every month. So most players pay $15 a month like most subscription based mmo's.

Back in my day... We didn't have a self-rez device that made world pvp totally pointless.

Agreed, I play a marauder. As a melee class during a intense pvp battle, with people moving in and out of different ranges, all the graying and flashing makes it very difficult most of the time to tell if someone's in your saberthrow/force scream range or not. In pve it isn't that big of a deal but in pvp it's a game breaker. Also, I can't say for certain, but seems like I'm getting more lag with all non stop blinking of abilities.

The common path of a thread like this is finally complete. We have Americans saying they saved England in WWII. We have English giving the Russians all the credit for winning WWII. And finally, the Canadians waving their arms around just trying to get noticed between the bickering.
