So I was looking through twitter today, and I saw that there has been a new playable race announced, being the Cathar. While I am excited to see new races coming to SWTOR, I assume that this race will be Republic ONLY... which I am actually fine with (Maybe it was Juhani from KOTOR I... but I HAVE A REAL HATRED FOR THE KITTIES... I Laughed With Glee Every Time I Got To Murder Her In The Tainted Grove !!! The only thing that would have given me more pleasure, would be being able to gut, torture, and kill Jar Jar... but anyway ...) As I have stated before, I am Empire Only, and as such I had a suggestion for the SWTOR team that I believe would go over very well with my fellow Imperial Players Give The Imperial Faction The Quarren Race, As A New Playable Race!!! I personally have a slight obsession with Lovecraft, and the Cthulhu mythos, and I would love to play as a Quarren Sith Marauder loosely based around the Cthulhu myth !!! I think making the Cathar a Republic Class Only and Making the Quarren a Imperial Class Only (and then making them an unlockable bonus through the legacy system) Would Be An Amazing Edition To SWTOR

Okay, I know because I have spent a considerable amount of time on different forums over the years, that because I have no real past experience here on the SWTOR forums, that some people will immediately bash me and toss aside these words of wisdom... Please Just Listen To Me For These Couple of Minuets... First of all, I know that SWTOR has suffered in subscriptions these last few weeks, and what I am about to say could fix that right up. I like many of you out there have been tempted to spend "real money" on in game credits, so as to (for example) unlock the Miraluka character so as to role with a Sith Warrior Miraluka (and any other number of possible combinations). Now, I want to make it very clear that I HAVE NOT BOUGHT CREDITS WITH REAL WORLD MONEY THROUGH ANYONE EVER!!! Just needed to get that out of the way... The primary reason I have not bought credits with real money is two fold... #1: I LOVE My Characters That I Have Created, and if they got deleted because I broke the terms of agreement with Bioware, I THINK I WOULD HAVE A SEIZURE AND DIE... #2: I HAVE ZERO DESIRE TO HAVE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION STOLEN BY OUTSIDE GARBAGE CLAIMING TO BE LEGITIMATE AND ATTEMPTING TO SELL ME GOLD... My solution to this, is implement a Diablo 3 Style System, Where Bioware Opens Up A REAL MONEY AUCTION HOUSE WITHIN SWTOR, where you can purchase different options and gear in the game. I myself would be purchasing several of the locked races so as to mix and match and have fun with the complexity of character creation. I also love a lot of the addon's that go along with the legacy system, and would be happy to spend real world money on these options (as long as they are reasonably priced Bioware ) In addition to these things, I would happily spend a few dollars on high powered gear and unique weapons (THIS WOULD BE WONDERFUL FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE NOT REALLY INTO PVP BUT WOULD LIKE TO GET THE BEST POSSIBLE GEAR NON THE LESS). The price tag on the locked races is 1,500,000 credits... I've been playing for about a month now and have held in my possession at one time no more than about 80,000 credits... I have NO EARTHLY CLUE HOW TO GET UP TO THAT MANY CREDITS WITHIN THE LEGAL MEANS... In addition to this, I am a SITH, I PLAY EMPIRE ONLY!!! and I REALLY DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO LVL A JEDI TO 50 JUST TO BE ABLE TO PLAY MY MIRALUKA SITH WARRIOR (Marauder More Specifically). If I could pay real money for this add on, it would make the whole process so much less frustrating... But I digress, going back to what I said about helping subscriptions... If Bioware did what I am suggesting, they could (like so many MMO's are doing these days) continue on, on a FREE TO PLAY MODEL, and Make Their Money On The Real Money Auction House... THIS OPTION WOULD BRING PLAYERS BACK IN DROVES!!! NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER!!! UNDERESTIMATE THE STAR WARS FAN BASE!!! The reason that your sub's are slipping is not because this is a bad game, THIS IS AN AMAZING GAME!!! It is simply because the economy is in the CRAP HOLE right now, and a lot of people simply can not afford the sub rate of 15 a month... This would also put out of business (at least in SWTOR) the scammers that try to sell people gold now, and make Bioware and Lucas Arts (and I guess EA... :/...) a TON OF MONEY at the exact same time. This suggestion would fill your servers and make EVERYONE VERY HAPPY!!! I have said my peace, and I'll tell you right now, that I am not a face that is seen here on the SWTOR forums very often, so I will not be here to answer to respond to any feedback, but I just wanted to get this suggestion out there, and hope that someone at Bioware will listen...
