  1. This advice pretty much goes for every class you face. Use Force Choke to stun them around 25-20%, then finish them off with a Vicious Throw when your GCD and their HP allows it. Especially useful against other Marauders/Sentinels. Stun them when they are low and they wont have time to use Undying Rage/Guarded by the Force. Always fun watching a nub Sent/Mara choke me when im at 100% and I go like: "Too early! Now what are you gonna do?" and I kill them without letting them use their UR/GbtF.

Ravage clipping is what every good Annihilation Marauder should do (can't speak for Carnage, but clipping Ravage with Smash in Rage would seem like a good idea, provided your target it stationary). Though I have to say that since the last patch, it seems the GCD is a lot slower since before. Earlier the GCD started when you hit the button, but now it seems to wait until 0,5 sec into the channel. Dunno about the rest of you, but my burst from clipping Ravage with Annihilate seems to have become a lot slower since 1.1.5.
  3. Lol I think the BM set looks amazing for marauders, especially with 2 white lightsabers. New BH gear looks amazing though.
  4. You should get surge until about 75%, then crit and Power. Friend of mine plays a Merc with all pieces having crit+surge and no other Merc on our server hits as hard as him. Accuracy doesn't do anything for Tech dmg, which Grav Round/Tracer Missile is. Also getting 2 pieces of the PvE set (at least for Commando/Mercenary) is a really good idea due to the amazing set bonus.

  7. I got 2 White crystals (though I could only afford the 31 power crystals) for my lightsabers. Looks awesome with Battlemaster gear tbh. And besides, looks is about 25% of your DPS.

If anything, BW will act like Blizzard and be asbolute carebears about Marauders and Sentinels and lower the skillcap immensely for all the ppl QQing about Marauders and Sentinels being too hard to play. I sure hope this doesn't happen though since I really enjoy my class as it is (though I want Force Push like Juggernauts have and Force Choke to become Force Grip seeing as every other class seem to have 2-4 different stuns)
  10. Power is a solid choice because its such a good stat for any of the specs. Also it means you can do PvE with those weps and not have to change for PvE just cuz you got Expertise crystals.
  11. Before 550-ish Expertise, you will gain more from Expertise than anything else in PvP. After that, go for Power.
  12. Carnage and Rage are about as squishy. Annihilation is nowhere near as squishy as the other specs. Regarding who plays what spec, I'd say most bad marauders/sents I see play Carnage/Combat actually. Most of the good ones play Anni and some (about 2 or 3) play Rage. However, there is only about 10 or so really good marauders on the server. Even a couple of BMs that are just perfect examples of how getting BM has absolutely NOTHING to do with skills.
  13. I seriously doubt ANY of these points. Annihilation is a very good spec for Marauders as it is on Live, it doesn't need any changes and certainly not any buffs. If they reduce the dmg on Annihilate but give it a chance to proc twice, Anni marauders wont be able to get the 5k hit medal anymore (not like it matters a whole lot for medals in 1.1.5 anyway, but it is still a very nice personal achievement to hit someone for 5k). Carnage is the spec that needs buffing, especially it's survivability. If you see a marauder/sentinel in Ataru Form, you've already won the fight. Unless of course you decide to AFK or if you, hopefully you won't, join a WZ with 10-12k HP.
  14. Couldn't agree more with that one :/ I like the skillcap of Marauders as it is. It keeps you on your toes and doesn't make you fall asleep like some classes in WoW and Rift could.
  15. Thing about marauder is that it is very dependent on gear. I would suggest to do some PvE before you go into PvP unless you want to get laughed at and focused by ppl who want to try and get their 5k hit medal.If you can get to about 15k HP with some PvE gear and try to get the Champion PvP chest you are well on your way to be respected in WZs (MANY players go by looks and HP when they are searching for a squishy target to shred to pieces). I feel sorry for some of the newbie sorcs and sages I've come up against in WZs. Had one poor guy i got 5k medal on about 5 or 6 times in a couple of matches. Also don't bring green, blue or yellow/orange lightsabers because thats an indication for many that you are squishy. With red lightsabers ppl will think you got bad gear, but not as often as with green or blue. Friend of mine had a green+purple lightsaber and got focused so much. When he finally got another purple lightsaber they stayed away from him a lot more often.
  16. Don't think they'll touch Annihilation/Watchman tbh. I think they'll just fix Carnage/Combat and give it better survivability to make it more viable in PvP. Depending on the map, Anni/Watch can do a lot of dmg, yes, but so can Rage/Focus (even more in some cases). I've done over 550k dmg in a Voidstar as Rage, though I'm squishy as hell once focused by 2 or more. Anni is more stable and better for soloing players overall, and its better for killing healers. Though I really wish for a knockback like the one juggernauts and guardians have. Tbh, all knockbacks should require a target, not like an i-got-no-skills-so-i-just-jump-in-and-knock-everyone-back-and-lock-you-down-for-5-secs skill (YES! I'm talking to you, sorcs and sages!).
  17. When you do a WZ, you basically have 2 choices. Either 1 go for the main objective and try to win the match, or 2: go for medals and get more valor and commendations, thus getting rank 60 faster. Most ppl go for the second option unless they are Valor rank 60 or higher, in which case most of them will just win 3 matches for the daily. Hopefully, 1.1.5 will come tomorrow. By then you will only get valor+commendations for the 4 first medals and valor+commendations per warzone will be increased, meaning most ppl will actually have a reason to go for the objective.
  18. As someone who has PvPed in all 3 specs, I have to say Annihilation is by far the least squishy of the specs. This is simply due to selfheals. Carnage is definitely the most squishy of the specs. In rage you will at least kill groups of mobs faster due to Smash critting like a truck. I suggest Annihilation or Rage (at least for 40+ when you have Force Crush) for lvling. With either of these specs you can run with a DPS pet provided you have good enough gear. If you really want to run carnage you kinda have to run with Quinn or you'll just get pulverized. Also, remember to use your defensive CDs.
  19. This isn't really a suggestion for balance, simply a request to make an ability a WHOLE lot cooler; Vicious Throw In my opinion Vicious Throw should throw BOTH lightsabers. We are Dual Wielding and the ability is on a GCD and the skill is a typical execution skill, how come I'm not throwing both swords? It would look so cool if you flinged away both lightsabers towards your target. This is my suggestion for balance/remodifying the use of a skill. I think the buff Annihilator gained from using Annihilate should be removed and replaced by this: "If your target is under the effects of 3 stacks of Deadly Saber, Annihilate automatically scores a critical hit." Deadly Saber and Annihilate are both on a 12 sec CD, causing this change to give better overall flow to Annihilation.
  20. I can confirm that Marauder Buffs such as Bloodthirst, Juyo Berserk and Predation ONLY affects your group. So if your other 3 group members die, nobody but you will gain the effects of the buff. If you are gonna build an Ops group you really want your best DPS including Marauder in the same group. Funny thing though, Bloodthirst stacks. Meaning 4 marauders could do 60% more dmg over 15-ish seconds. Fabricator would MELT! lol. Same goes for Predation. The movementspeed increase also stacks. 4 Rage specced marauders could be running around at about 150-200% movement speed due to the talent in Rage that makes Predation refund 10 Fury, however its 10 Fury per friendly player affected by it.
  21. Well, not entirely true. Saber Throw is a juggernaut only ability. Deadly Throw and Vicious Throw are both throwing attacks, but they don't work like Saber Throw in any way.
  22. I was looking forward to Vicious Throw when I was leveling. That and Annihilate in Annihilation since I was leveling as that. Massacre seemed kinda cool too.
  23. ^this. Or if you have an abundance of WZ commendations you can get 15% expertise adrenal. Though I'd spend those getting bags until full champ.
  24. Unless you are playing a Guardian/Juggernaut in 1-trick-pony spec you kinda have to go for an undergeared sorc/sage with relic+adrenal+15% expertise buff if you can find one. This pretty much goes for every class in the game except Carnage/Combat specced marauders/sentinels who can pretty much go for any target with low expertise.
