  1. 91 minutes to create 3 million credits @ 5 seconds per transaction.
  2. Yep good post. I agree and also is the reason why I pretty much have stopped playing my battlemaster sorc now. I look ahead at the next level of gear for me, and see yet more tripe. There is no incentive to gear up to look like a circus clown. Out of all the classes the sorceror has by far the craziest (read: worst) gear design.
  3. To provide further end game activities: Let players retain the 400/400 crafting skills they have learned when switching to a new profession. In the world of star wars it would not be unreasonable for one to retain knowledge and cross-skill Let players build up a character to be multiskilled, and as a by-product get the best value out of the companions that have their own set of diverse skills. There is not much benefit in having a companion with diplomacy and slicing skills if I am doing armormech and scavenging. In the new model, the relevance of the companions skills come back into the game as well. So at the end of the day we'd have players that can do more than one craft. There might be a ripple effect in the trade market on crafted items, but it will be offset through a rise in demand in crafting materials for those wanting to skill up a new trade. Note: my suggestion is limited to crafting skills only, with the current limits of 2 gathering skills remain, and that gathering skills are not retained when unlearned (in accordance with current mechanic). Limit knowledge retention to just crafting trades. It will also see those level 50's re-visiting the other planets again harvesting matts. Nothing wrong with giving people a reason to leave fleet right.
  4. Hah, i see what you did there!! You cleverly didn't mention what game....
  5. And how does that justify anything? Just because other MMOs have a bad first year means that every other MMO can't learn from their mistakes? Clearly Bioware didn't, and nor does it have to with customers like you defending their lack of quality assurance.
  6. 30 days lol. it should be free to play until we can get out of the alpha testing phase.
  7. Holy smoke, stop embarrassing yourself. THIS is why devs do what they do and get away with it. THIS is why Bioware are based in Texas. They can all be cowboys and get away with it. Too many people are 'conditioned' to expect poor quality and poor service.
  8. This is probably their signature block by now.
  9. Well if we could play the game we wouldn't be in the playpen now would we.
  10. Its pathetic isn't it. I'm sitting here stunned after reading the patch notes. No wonder they dont put the patch notes up until after the fact.
  11. Then like any other profit making venture. Supply must meet demand. There is nothing wrong with wanting it right now, its up to the vendor to meet or exceed customer demand to ultimately be successful. By your logic, if Bioware are releasing patches too early because we are demanding them; wouldn't it be good business sense to ensure you are resourced adequately to meet the market pressure. Their business model seems to be the opposite, which i find irrational.
  12. The issue is simply systemic across the whole industry.
  13. Has there been a patch that hasn't broken something else or needed to be fixed?? Has there been a patch that has fixed everything they said they were going to fix?? Is there a quality assurance team on BW payroll?? Are we the worlds first beta testers in history that actually pay for the privelidge month on month?? Can BW test their patches once in a while before deploying?? If the PTS is not doing the job, would it be unreasonable to think they could invest in a test environment that actually tests?? Seriously, if we screwed up every release to the client like this where I work we would all be fired. Whilst all those questions above are rhetorical and I expect this post to be deleted - you have to ask yourself *** is going on right. It comes down to QA, and I am sure they pay some guy 80-100k p/a as a quality manager that must lead a team of quality engineers. Lets say 500k p/a in quality just in salaries and they keep rolling out crap.
  14. Yeh my level 50 turned in my legacy weapon thing and got a level 14 lightsaber. Good times?
  15. I want them to fix whatever they manage to break by implementing 1.2 They haven't deployed a patch yet that hasn't broken something else, or completely fixed what was intended.
  16. Yes it was out of a post to do with early downloads, but I think you missed the point. In the 'workarounds' offered, one was to wait until 1.2 is deployed. They clarified the deployment timing in brackets (8am). Now make the mental leap to understand that there is only one deployment of 1.2., and regardless of what post it was in, it is in fact relevant. Did I really need to explain that? Perhaps i just got trolled...
  17. You'll be camping for a while then. Something I picked up reading a yellow post after finding today I cannot proactively download the patch in readiness for the servers coming online.... I assume the intention of this statement was 'when the game servers come online (approx 8am)', but I guess you can also read it literally in that the patch won't be deployed until 8am. They really do need a communications manager in that company.
  18. So what are they patching then? This is like the key piece of information to quell the masses, but its missing. Am i being irrational?
  19. Kick a man while he's down. If 7pm sydney time isn't bad enough, todays maintenance came an hour early at 6pm. I empathise with the EU. Both regions have shared the problem, but until now we haven't really had a formal leg to stand on given we were forced to play on US servers. Now we have oceanic servers I feel we have a case to argue also.
