I always play with the absolute bottom setting to improve performance. No vertical sync. Edit 2: So when you orbit your character on the selection screen, is it orbiting by what your had is doing? Or is there some smoothing self rotation? There is smoothing and self rotation, I've tested this on three different PC's. Edit 3: In game, is there smoothing when you orbit the camera? Or is it %100 responsive? It's not %100 responsive because I've tested this on three PC's. Hopefully this feedback will help Bioware improve SWTOR. *BECAUSE I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO RETURNING WHEN BELOW IS FIXED.* Here's why I've unsubbed. (You can do these with me as they're easy to do). - Log in. Select your main on the character list. Now...simply rotate your character to take a look around him/her. Tell me, when doing that, do you feel like you have "control" orbiting your character? This Squishy, Laggy, Soft, Underwater, non-control (Driving a heavy/full massive School Bus instead of a regular responsive car) feeling translates THROUGHOUT the game. - Log in. Now, I'm convinced the entire SWTOR universe is, in fact, in liquid space. Because when looking around when holding down right click, the camera doesn't respond to what my hand is doing, there is a DISCONNECT, a HINDRANCE to the connection between my human body and my avatar's universe. There is full half second delay from moving my mouse to when the actual camera moves. Be it... -no option to remove mouse smoothing -possible connection to the ability delay problem -game performance so terrible it's effecting mouse control ...whatever the cause, I'm unsubbed until it's fixed. From the heart. I love Bioware. I love Star Wars. I want to drive a car, not a school bus. Please fix. XO. (PS. The fact that there is no option to remove mouse smoothing at present gets me so angry, I visualize myself in a fantasy world, with an army of muppets and creatures from the Jim Henson universe running at me. All of them armed, all of them angry, holding signs "We like Lag!" and "You'll never have full control in SWTOR!" I'm holding a gatling gun, and decide to open fire, even though I'm reluctant. I scream "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!" while thousands of high velocity armor piercing rounds tear through the Muppet army. After all the creatures and muppets lay mangled at my feet, I realize my bullets have shattered a great Dam and a tidal wave of Sluggish Heavy Laggy Juicy Sloppy water races at me and engulfs me again into the liquid universe of SWTOR... I feel like Luke walking through the cave on Dagobah.)

How do I turn off mouse smoothing? I can't find out how to turn this garbage feature off, that is making my entire SWTOR experience feel sluggish and unresponsive (especially when mounted). Playing with mouse smoothing feels like driving a huge heavy SUV, that turns only about .5 to 1 second after you turn the steering wheel. Also, if the camera hits close geometry, it takes 10 to 15 seconds to return to it's full distance from your character, this is so _________ annoying, why can't I turn off this feature? I know this sounds weird, but these problems along with the ability delay are going to make me unsub, very soon, unless something is done. I love Star Wars, please make this better.

I can't believe it, I actually woke up this morning wanting to post this exact same analogy. This problem is huge (for me anyway). Along the same lines as the ability delay is the slow sluggish feeling of the camera itself (like a big unresponsive SUV, that actually turns the car about .5 to 1 second after you actually turn the steering wheel) The camera effects the feeling of being mounted as well. Its like this big sluggish feeling when riding them, terrible. This is what Bioware is saying to me, simply by not adding a "remove mouse smoothing option"....Here's what they are saying to me as a paying customer: "Hey, thanks for buying and continuing to subscribe. Thanks for mentioning your concerns, and we're aware that almost every pc game in the last century has had a very responsive camera, and always an option to remove mouse smoothing. But sorry, but we don't want you to play our game, we don't want you to play because we like mouse smoothing, because it sounds cool, and sounds like another polished feature, even though it's a polished piece of ____. We know you're frustrated by it, but we really don't want you driving a ferrari, we want a slow sluggish unresponsive feel not ONLY from your abilities, but from the Camera as well, HECK, we want you to feel slow and sluggish EVEN WHEN ORBITING YOUR CHARACTER ON THE CHARACTER SELECTIONS SCREEN. So f-off, we don't want you playing our game, because as easy as it is to add an option to remove mouse smoothing, we don't want to do it, because we hate you, and we want you to feel sluggish and unresponsive throughout your SWTOR experience." lol, but really I almost feel like this, why of F'n why would they not add an option to remove mouse smoothing??? OH, AND lol, that camera slow IN/OUT? It takes like 10 - 15 seconds for your camera to reach full distance once it's been zoomed in.... DO YOU KNOW HOW f'n annoying this is? Really, for these two things, the only reason I can see, is some higher up in the company said "Hey lets smooth and slug everything, camera movement, even the camera in and out." and no one will disagree with him because they're fearing for there jobs, and 10000's of people are now feeling sluggy throughout the game because of one idiot. Maybe, maybe not... JUST.. FIX... IT. Let me remove mouse smoothing and corrective slow paced camera self-adjustment. FTLOG.

48 hour bump. Anyone know of news that bioware will add the option to REMOVE mouse smoothing?

**I"M NOT ASKING HOW TO CHANGE MOUSE Smoothing / Acceleration*** EDIT:***ALSO, to Clarify, I'm talking about when you hold down right click and move your camera around your character in game*** BUT, I am asking WHEN will BIOWARE add these options: -turn OFF mouse smoothing. -turn OFF mouse acceleration (completely) Honestly, I really can't believe there isn't an option for this. Here's my analogies: 1. Character creation screen. To orbit around your character there is this brutal smoothing and lag/weirdness delay. It's like having your character on a turntable, but you're turning him with two long pieces of Twizzlers instead of your f'n hands. 2. Playing this game is like driving a big heavy car, and each time you turn the wheel it doesn't actually turn for .5 to 1 second AFTER you turn... Those who PVP mostly will appreciate this problem. It's funny, I was sooooo looking forward to playing this game, but I honestly can't get passed this mouse/camera/smoothing/delay BS. I'm just waiting for them to fix it because it's that frustrating. So, anyone have any feedback on when Bioware is fixing this, so I give this game a good run. Thank you!
