That argument just went out of the window, since they seem to have no issue with extending EU maintenance to 6 PM (finnish time) while they could have just as easily started a bit earlier to some minor inconvenience of the US players We need seperate maintenance times, especially since the current ones can easily extend into the evening for EU players

You are forgetting 2 very important things. 1. Swtor has to compete with Wow now, not wow 7 years ago. 2. They should have had a long hard look at wow and seen what wow did right and wrong. The User Interface in swtor is amateurish, both skillbars, maps etc, and the auction house etc. This could have been easily avoided. You say they aren't gamebreaking, but they are bad enough for people to stop playing, especially since the market is so much bigger nowadays.

If it doesn't affect you, why are you trolling these threads so much? Quite a lot of people have weekend/shift work, so they will often be affected by what is mid-day maintenance. Not to mention, already one extended maint. went on tlll 8pm finnish time, that's hardly offpeak by anyone's count.

I doubt he wants the European servers down then, since those are anyway on a different continent and all that. The stupid thing is that even though bioware probally as atleast 3 server centers (westcoast, eastcoast, ireland) they insist on not staggering maintenance to suit the average gametimes of those area's.

That is all i am really asking for, and it is hardly much to ask, since the EU team is actually in Ireland, not the USA. I understand extra maintenance during the inital period is unavoidable. I don't mind that it might once in a while extend a bit. What bothers me is the fact that they obviously acknowledge the fact that middle of the night is the best time for it, in the USA, but somehow the Europeans have to settle for daytime. And indeed, once the oceanic servers get up, then what? they get it in evening?

Then they shouldn't have advertised and sold the game in europe.

I'm sorry that you don't have anything decent to say, but you do understand that some people might have limited time to play games, and are therefor unwilling to just accept a gamecompany treating them like some second rate citizen?

No warning, and you just gonna down the servers for the morning and most of the afternoon tomorrow again? If you don't change these times and start giving a bit earlier info on these things, I am going to have to cancel my subscription, as someone who works weekends, i can't afford to constantly, completely randomly lose gamedays.

the only people against dual spec are dps specced players that are jealous of tanks, but too afraid to tank/heal themselves, so they want tanks and healers to suffer in solo and pvp play. There is nothing negative against dual spec, you can already respec, it is just a credit sink. Dual spec is just convenient, so you don't have to redo your spec every damn time. Limiting dualspeccing can be done by: -only able to switch specs at fleet, your own ship or something like that. -putting a smaller fee on switching between your 2 specs. If you are totally against dual spec, you do not understand the games basics, or you are trolling.

The European servers are in Ireland, and they have their own admin team, because no company would be stupid enough to not have people onsite. There is NO reason to do the maintanance during these times at all.

I seriously doubt there is any technical reason for the fact that all servers are down at the same time. For one, judging from my ping times to server, EU servers are in Europe. At the very least they are on their own servershards, especially the german and french ones, which have a different client(language pack atleast). It is just poor service from a huge multinational company, that should do better, and will lose customers if they do not fix this, for starters, both me and my wife

No, when the game comes out in Australia/asia, their servers should have maintanance during their nighttime. JUST LIKE IN EVERY OTHER MAYOR MMO ON THE PLANET. There is no reason why the EU servers should not have their own seperat maintanancne, apart from utter cheapness from bioware&ea. We are talking about a multi-milion euro revenue here, not some tiny webservice or free webgame.

It doesn't matter if bioware is or is not an American company. They sell and support the game in the EU, therefor, we should expect to get treated the same as the american users. This should include real off-peak maintanance, not midday to evening maintanance.

wow, you are one arogant person, last statistics i've seen, atleast 40% of the working population works in either shift or irregular hours. Outside of office workers, most people actually do NOT work 9-5. and many people who work in the service industry etc. work weekends and have midweeks off.

What does a tech groundteam have to do with a quest reset, there isn't someone with a stopwatch sitting and waiting to press a button you know?

That's ********, what would us players be doing on the EU servers in dublin? There is no reason to have the reset at the same time as USA one, it is just an arbitrarily timed event.

Please change the reset time for dailies to some nighttime, preferrably between 3-7 am CET. Having the daily reset in the middle of the day is incredibly annoying.

Except, when most of us EGA people joined our servers, we had a choice of maybe 6-7 servers, all of which now are full as hell. I wish I could move us out of this server to a lower one, I would much prefer to be with my friends who are joining now or later. Bioware screwed up by making ega a disadvantage instead of the advantage it should have been.
