  1. They are per character because the really don't cost THAT much.

I don't want to grind dailies all the time either, but come on....these perks don't cost much. And all you need to do is apply individual perks to the characters you want.

Why would a 50 need the +exp bonus right now :X

I guess they'd be happy to pay 3Mil credits to unlock the level 10 speeder for all their characters when 5 of them already have speeders. Or Perhaps 2Mil credits for warzone XP bonus when they only intend for one character they got to really be leveling through PvP.

That would be oh so AWESOME!

  2. Over priced legacy items that should be standard and free... Legacy items (and correct me of im wrong, but the purpose of legacy as originally stated, was to unlock things on all toons in your legacy) only unlocking on individual characters, massive money sinks and terrible daily grinds, lack of end game content, terrible pvp, no real space content in a star wars mmo and the list goes on....

This is a matter of opinion. I don't believe stuff like ship amenities should of been free or cheep. Why? They encourage anti-socialism. Think about it. With a LFG tool, med bot, mail box, practice dummy and whatever else on the ship players no longer need to leave it and even accidentally interact with another player. Now tell me why should that be encouraged more than it already is in an MMO.

The character only perks is cool because I'll save money. I level my characters differently so I have a different experience on them. What is the point in spending a lot of credits to give all my characters a buff to Warzsone XP when only 2 of them would be PvPing heavily? Speeder @ lvl 10? Doesn't help my 5 chars over level 25. I'm saving money. Now granted they should of had an option to buy it for single character or Legacy wide but it was known (because it was sitting plain as day since 1.2) that some would be character specific so I don't get the shock NOW.

  3. Yeah I'd say this is very much an alt-tastic patch as most long-time 50's are on operation content (that you'd generally keep in-guild and not use the group finder on) and most of the perks are quality of life for leveling characters.

The only real "long-time 50" thing would be the augment system changes.

This is what had me chuckling hard. Esp with the complaints that the CHARACTER perks are not account wide. Like I need a perk to give a character I have no desire to PvP on the perk for extra XP while PvPing or the ability to get speeders @ lvl 10 on the 5 characters I got @ lvl 30ish. I'm saving loads of cash by only buying what I want for that character than spending 2Mil on something for my whole account 3 more characters is gonna use.

  4. Actually you are incorrect. Part of customer intimacy is understanding why your customer's left and winning back their business. I am saying that censorship further fractures the relationship between the customer and Bioware. Bioware is actually who loses by being less likely to have the customer return. This is due to Bioware having customer intamacy issues basically. "How dare you not pay me my subscription fee. What your breaking up with me? No your not. You can never post on my forums again."

When you quit your subscription you are given an option to provide this very same feedback. There is no need to come to the forums to do so. Also even without a subscription you can give feedback by e-mailing support@swtor.com

  5. Prothean!

I agree, though. The OP is just asking a question.

At the OP: I would suggest what's already been stated, which is to maybe purchase an Origin time card and use the other one that is coming at another time. :)

EDIT: Jaavik, you signed up in 2008! Do you see the future or something? Boggles the mind.

Sometimes that isn't an option. Origin doesn't even look at customers from my country. I have to Western Union money to a friend just to get the game and time cards.

  6. Easy fix that wont affect driving around fleet in your vehicle, but will get rid of console squatters:

-Instead of putting mission consoles out in the walkways in fleet put them inside the 'store' areas. I'm talking about the little cubby holes that you see vendors, trainers and the GTN sitting inside.

-Make all those little cubby holes dismount people, so you pretty much have foot traffic only.

-make the inner cantina area and the ring surrounding it also a dismount area. But the paths that leads away are mountable

-Keep main aisleways out in the main fleet area open for vehicles.

-Maybe have a deadzone around mailboxes and consoles 2-5 feet around the box/console that nobody can get into.

Moving the consoles into stores should be easy to code. Making the stores/rooms or the cantina are dismount should also be easy to code, unless they designed stations a certain way making that harder.

You stole my idea! FORCE SHOCK!!!

    ...

    ...

    I can't believe I said that.

  7. I find it funny how video games/ internets inspire so many people to do so many things that, out of fear of violent reprisal, they would never think to do in the real world.

Basically, this is why we cant have nice things. Without the threat of violence, people cannot be trusted to act properly.

So true... So true... And I like nice things...

  8. I should not have to pay for Bioware's screw-up. I want all my characters on the same server. Paid transfer? Ya, I am paying you a monthly fee so go ahead and take it out of that. No you say? Well, enjoy your sinking ship then Bioware. I'll just go pay another company for a better gaming experience.

~blink~blink~ I had no idea BioWare created those characters for you spread out among multiple servers.

  9. The whiney generation at its best.

Took me <10 minutes to make half the way through my "55" minute queue.

I rather wait 20 minutes to log in than 40 minutes till a Warzone pops.

Here here. On my old server I spent 6hrs to run 3 warzones and because I lost one of those 3 I couldn't get my daily done. What about those who didn't win at all?

It's sad how people complain about everything. I can guarantee you the more people are happier with full servers than those who are not.

  10. Sure, on the first day people will try out whatever they can. But a week or two later and how many of those characters do you think will STILL be wearing it? Besides I don't think they'll be allowing male characters to wear the slave girl outfit.

I mean, you're suggesting that they somehow go through and create restrictions to only allow outfits that look good. That's impossible. Even now there's plenty of outfits that don't look good. There's outfit combinations that clip horribly, but the devs can't be responsible if a player WANTS to look bad. That kind of thing happens. That always happens when people are allowed to choose, but that doesn't mean you should take away the ability to choose.

Yes I think they would and no I don't think they deliberately place restrictions for "looking good" however they have a certain vision. Some may agree some may disagree however I and some others (don't know if it is the majority or not to be frank I don't care if majority or not) believe that light armor classes shouldn't look like they're rocking heavy armor. That's just my opinion and I believe BioWare is right with keeping that for the gear outside of social gear. If they change it I'll just disagree. I'm not gonna cry, I'll send them an e-mail stating as such and that's that.

This issue is not game breaking as many of you all are trying to make it out to be and in regards to the cost in swapping mods I don't find it to be that bad. I got a couple mil on my char doing nothing and I don't swap my looks on a daily basis. Each character I got has a signature look and I keep that going. But that's just me.

  11. You see, you're assuming that just because it would be possible to make these ridiculous looking characters, that players would do so. But most players don't want their character to look ridiculous, and so they won't. But maybe I find a pair of Bounty Hunter gloves that would look cool on my Sorceror, or maybe I want my Jedi Shadow to dress like a smuggler to look less conspicuous and fit in with the crowd. Why shouldn't I be able to do that?

You seriously underestimate the average gamer. Esp here. I can tell you right now give male characters the ability to wear the slave girl social gear and that same day you'll see at least 5 male characters with body type 4 wearing it.

Let's keep some restrictions in place please.

  12. I think this is acceptable. Being able to remove mods from armor and insert them into other armor should not be free in my opinion and I do not consider 100,000 credit to be difficult to come by for a level 50 character.

I disagree with your initial premise as I understand it. I think certain appearances should be reserved or restricted based on certain criteria. I do not believe that any character class is restricted to any particular armor look thanks to social armor.

Please do not do any of these things.

Dude I so agree with you. I leveled a Shadow and kept the same custom gear all the way up because I liked the look. That means every time I get new gear I would yank out the mods and pop it in the stuff I'm wearing. The only gear I did not do it for is the Battlemaster because I was losing the set bonus. Swapped it for War Hero though and never have I been unable to buy what I wanted, level my crafting skills, buy my class skills or anything. The cost for swapping mods is a money sink and not that big of one because most people don't swap mods daily.

How characters look due to their armor class and faction should be different. Sure they're looking the other way for social gear but you gotta earn the levels to wear it. Outside of that it'll just seem wrong a sorc rocking heavy armor or a Commando in a robe.

Now I agree more options is a good thing there should still be limits. Do not compromise the look of the game more than necessary.

  13. Why do people care so much about the opinion of a "reviewer" who may or may not have so-called "credibility"? If you like the game, then keep playing; if you don't like the game, then no one is forcing you to stay. Everyone has an opinion which we're all entitled to.

This is the truth. Now there are some review sites I value their opinion but at the same time I try to make my own decision esp if I see a concept that interests me. I like Xplay and their reviews on what they consider bad games are funny but they also know when to be serious and straight forward. However I would not use them as the end all be all of game reviews. The MMO Report is jokes from start to finish so I cannot take what is said there seriously at all.

The site I give most validity to is IGN and even them I like to make my own decisions because there have been games they gave a 6 to that I enjoyed. What I do like about IGN is that they have a list of criteria for their review. Their review is based off of that more than the reviewers personal opinion. One time I read a review where the guy said he flat out do not like the genre of games but it still got an 8.5 because the game were reviewed off of those criteria.

Bottom line what was said in the MMO report was mildly amusing but something no one should really bother with.

People who play the game know the real deal and while some may not be happy most are about the transfers.

  14. I didnt have time to read the whole thing yet but I agree that switching out gear should be free or at least cost very little, like 1k, NOT 140k. Grinding Dailies does get old. Although more clothing options and customizing I agree with, some gear should not be on some character. IMO many of the jedi robes look like dresses.

It's called a money sink. There is enough complaints that there's nothing to spend money on and how players have so much money sitting on their toons. The cost to swap out mods isn't so bad unless you're doing it often. It's a way to get credits out of the game that's all.

Chessack, thanks for the post. I agree wholeheartedly. The amount of conversation in Black Talon/Esseles should be the NORM, not the exception. The devs really need to remember this going forward in the game's development. This kind of group story experience is something that only TOR can offer, and they should take full advantage of that. (At least I don't know of any other games with this kind of system.)

I agree that it shouldn't be the exception to the rule. I'd say once in every 3 flashpoints. So you get a heavy dose in BT/Esseles then light in Hammer Station & Athiss, Mand Raiders is prime for a lot of conversation. good smack talk between you and the leader of the Clan or back to base with status updates and or suggestions to move forward.

  15. prioritty doesnt make any difference at all.

Welcome to the world of SWToR an engine so bad, baby jesus cried rivers of tears.

45-50% cpu load, 40% gpu load.

There was a HUGE thread going on about the fps issues and how to fix em and basically it was going like "DO SOMETHING FIX IT".

It died back in January when half the people left the game.

    Way to be productive.
