  1. I'm not sure why it's so hard to believe that people with rigs that meet and in may cases exceed the recommended specs advertised for this game cannot play it because the FPS is hubs and WZs is in the single digits.

If you are not having FPS issues, good for you, but please do not think you can tell someone like me who builds rigs for fun that it's my fault and the game is just fine.

    It isn't.

Perhaps Bioware is ok losing 5% of it's subs because it badly underestimated the required specs for TOR. It may be cheaper than fixing the issue, if it even is fixable. They are a corporation and they will follow the money.

  2. I would kill for 40fps...I get 96 at the character selection screen and then 15 as soon as the game loads. Fleet is unplayable...it looks like a flip book. I know my rig isn't brand new but I've got 8GB of ram and a 1 GB video card...all of my specs are higher than the recommended specs for TOR.

I'm frustrated and likely to unsub if I can't get this to be playable soon. I don't have the option to go out and buy a new rig just for a video game and after reading about how some have done just that only to find that their fps hasn't budged, I can't say it would be worth it in any case.

  3. I really want this game to shine, but it seems as though there are alot of issues out of the box. This is mostly evident in the graphics.

    -No AA at all

    -No high res textures

    -FPS drop in-doors

Really ***? Why can't bioware put the same level of polish into this as they did with their KotOR series? I venture to say that the graphics for KotOR on the original xbox are better than TOR's right now.

You clearly don't remember how many bugs KotOR 2 had when it came out. It was basically unplayable.

  4. Noo... he cares about getting in and out of an instance with minimal downtime and mistakes.

You want help? Ask you'r guild - you want someone to tal kto and teach you? Ask you'r guild.

Unless I am mistaken most of the conversation here is based purely on people you DONT know and are pugging with.

I knew my guild mates capabilities - there was no questions there. My posts in this threat are focused on PUG's only.

So to reiterate - if I want to pug through an instance, I have 2 choices - Take someone in greens, or take someone in purps. I have 10 people sending tells - which of the 10 stangers get let it? The geared ones...

It's a game...minimal mistakes? Mistakes is how you learn. There'd be fewer mistakes if people like him would take the time to show others how instead of pissing and moaning that they don't know anything right off the bat.

  5. Thanks for explaining sadly why EXACTLY Gearscore is useful. I don't want to run your stupid alts and get you gear. Even if you have the skill, you can't pull the numbers I want in greens. You will be carried. Why should I take you over someone who is better geared? Just because you SAY you are skilled? He might be skilled as well. At least with him I know he COULD pull the numbers I want if he was good.

And how do I know who has the better gear? Gearscore.

Sounds like all you care about is the size of your epeen...God forbid you help someone run through if you get nothing out of it.

And people wonder where the community went on WOW.

  6. Who cares who likes or does not like the game?

    Ask these questions.

    1) Am I having fun?

    2) Is it worth the monthly fee?

    3) Do I find the time I spend in game worthwhile?

If the answers are yes, then who cares what anyone else thinks.

seriously. This is dead on. I wish people would stop trying to convince everyone else that their way of playing is the only way or that that what they think an MMO should be is the only thing it should be.

  7. Oh come on can't you guys give it a rest.

Report your bugs and leave it already. The more complaints and bug reports they receive the higher it will get in their priority list.

There really is no need to flavor it with drama.

It's people's right to cancel their sub, and eventually it would trigger an alarm as well if they feel like it gets out of control. You're always free to come back, and that also counts for me, if I decided to leave.

I have no problem with people who want to cancel their subs. In fact, I encourage anyone who is unhappy or feeling ripped off to do so.

No one should have to put up with a game that they don't enjoy. I cancelled STO and LOTR when the "shiny" wore off. It took a year for LOTR and 3 months for STO.

My issue is the drama. If you hate it...fine...quit and walk away. Please stop venting on the forums before you do. We get it...you hate TOR and think anyone who doesn't has the IQ of a crack-addicted gerbil on lithium.

    Move on.
