  1. this is a horrible idea. solution suggestion, give other crafts something equally usefull for endgame content. biowares implementation of said idea, remove usefullness from everything. with the way this is designed we would no longer have a use for our rakata items, and be left behind by other crew skills. for those of us who doesnt want to spend hours a day doing silly dailies repeatedly, our only source of income is our crew skills. with the proposed changes, the only option for min maxers will still be to go through all the other crew skills, and land on biochem for a reliable source of income. to make this work they can go 2 ways, one implies giving all crewskills something bound which increases stats for endgame content, and something sellable that is usefull to other crew skills. this will increase cashflow and create an active economy. the other to remove all endgame usefullness from all crewskills. create no inter dependencies and take a relaxed approach to crafting as something you dont really have any use for outside leveling. the actual solution they are going with goes like this. first make sure there is only one crew skill you can make money on, then remove the endgame viability from said skill, and at a later point make sure all other crew skills can now craft items that is worth selling (orange items with augment slots)
  2. i feel like it might be redundant to repeat myself, but the majority of players arent the guys posting on the forums. its not a thread of issues, it is surposed to be a large compendium of suggested improvements, and ways to implement them, ranging from tweaks to the interface, and allowing searches on name before item type on the GTM, to dungeonfinder tools (could just be a simple gui allowing you to list your name, check off boxes with what you want to do, and add a short description, possibly cross realm that way) but thank you for your input none the less, it is appriciated.
  3. i am creating a rather large compendium of improvement ideas for the game in a forum thread tomorrow, and for that i would like some input on how a dungeonfinder tool could be made in the best possible way. if you could help me out with input i would be rather thankfull.
  4. just once for me, but it is a catastrophe, since all the people i wanted to play with went for bloodworthy. hell, we cant even play on a low population server while queing for bloodworthy, so we're stuck waiting (for several hours at a time)

  6. could somebody link to the bioware statement that today would reach last week of november, because i have seen a lot of people mentioning it, but noone documenting it. and the only forum thread i could find with a bioware stamp on it just plain states more waves, more people today, than yesterday. besides, we just had a wave spanning only 4 days. what to do except lol and take a nap while waiting.
  7. your argument is invalid, you post no argument, and showcase the horrible community wow is renowned for in 2 sentences, while showing that you are either one of the really rare elitist *****s, or not even close to the hard core you pass yourself off as. have you noticed that allmost everyone defending a lfg tool in this thread has been friendly and tried to have a proper debate on how it could be done best, while posting valid arguments fighting their case?
  8. agreed, you should be allowed to play the game you see best, as long as it doesnt ruin other players enjoyment of the game.
  9. really, you are comparing the game to real life? you are taking this game way too seriously, on top of offending others, on top of adding nothing to the debate. but for the sake of the argument, real life is a *****. you have to work hard for everything. this is a game, it doesnt have to be easy mode, the content that is. we play it to get away from the stress of everyday life, not to experience a real life emulator with lightsabers. i dont see anything wrong with content being readily accessible.
  10. y mommy should smack me for pointing this out, since you obviously wont be reading the thread. ea (yes EA, bioware has nothing to do with advertising the game, they just make it.) clearly stated "up to 5 DAYS OF EARLY ACCES", making sure that as many people as possible would only read the big letters. i wanna bump this thread all night, and make it all sticky.

  12. this would in my opinion be the best solution, however it is unlikely as it would require creating either 2 algorithms for matchmaking, or one very complex one that would include players preffering their own realm in the pool if all players = same realm. balancing this with que times might be a very tricky buisiness they decided to close off some of the realms as trial shards, which in turn balanced population on the remaining realms, and from there on the player count steadily increased. at least the eu whitefall shard had a very healthy population on both sides, as well as a decent amount of pug raids, world pvp, pvp events, and general randomness. while also having automated que systems. to me personally, a lfg tool is essential to my lvl'ing, as i epicly hate solo grinding in mmo's (hoping tor will be better). and usually lvl purely (or at least close to) through group content. sitting around spamming chats all day would earn me a reputation as both a spammer, and as someone who cannot put a group together through the power of assumptions. anyways, this is proving to be a rather cool forum argument, as i dont see anything except for valid points, and i hope the bioware forum mods will see this as well, and refer dev's to this thread for future reference when they are developing the systems.
  13. sorry for shortening your post, basically i think you have a point. but through using wow as a reference you sort of broke it again. see from the moment activision got involved with blizzard, wow content releases grinded to a halt. giving players nothing to do, other than replaying the same content. but as your argument goes, you prove very validly that no dungeon finder would be best for you, however you fail to see the downsides to it. the lack of a tool to help you get into a group will exclude a lot of people from participating, and will prove a massive wall for new players to climb before having acces to the content. people with weak english skills will generally be percieved as either kids or stupid. not to mention that even those rationally thinking will put into concideration that communication will be troublesome, and hence give them a hard time finding a group. new players with absolutely zero experience will have to either lie, or spend immense amounts of time looking for a decent group. to sum it up, you might be partially right and non cross realm could be the way to go to keep the core happy, but the dungeon finder tool does make the game a lot more enjoyable for a lot of people. if they need inspiration, they could look at how trion has implemented it, and when. since it worked really well in rift. edit: forgot to mention that once you geared out to flex on your main, your alts will automatically become a gear grind, since there is a limit to the number of times the same cutscenes can be enjoyable.
  14. i am aware that im going to get flamed here, for what i am about to say. but unless they find some way of automagically decrease time in que from hours to minutes, i believe cross realm is a nescesity (<-- typo i know it, but cant remember the proper way to spell it). having a cross flashpoint finder in no way prevents you from grouping with your guildmates, or create a pug in general. personally, i dont mind it, as it gives faster ques for those of us who doesnt enjoy playing as a tank or healer. and i know a rather large portion of players (id assume its the silent majority) agrees with me. i know the most hardcore players prefer it another way, but they have to accept that even though they are the most devoted custumers, they are also a minority. and so the hardcore endgame content should be tailored to their needs, but the content that every player is ment to see relatively early after it going live should not be. in the end the succes of this game rests on the shoulders of casual players, they bring in the largest portion of money. so catering to them to a certain degree would be a wise move from bioware, and free up more funds to develop more raids, and new battlegrounds for pvp'ers.
