  1. Just thought I'd make a thread for people to post new information from the encyclopedia that just recently came out.Feel free to post any information from the encyclopedia that you found interesting or important in this thread.Just be weary that not everyone has the encyclopedia,so just use spoiler tags:cool:
  2. Found some new ones for Ashara Zavros while questing on Voss

Near the tree where the dread masters are located on Belsavis

I'll try to find the exact name for the location.I'll find more companion dialogues as well:cool:

When entering the shrine of healing on Voss she tells you to be respectful to the Voss

When entering the dark heart on Voss she basically says how it's filled with powerful darkside energy and that shes not sure your powerful enough to enter that place

  3. I agree with Republic Corellia. I loathe the planet itself - obstructive design, claustophobic, orange and brown and brown and orange, and generally a deeply unpleasant place to finish one's journey through the story (ok the park has its moments, but not enough). But I still have really fond memories of running through there with my main, because it really did feel like such a triumphant capstone to the war and the epic culmination of everything I'd been working toward. (Plays really nicely with the JK questline, too, which always helps; I tend to enjoy planets less when the class story and planet story are completely disconnected or thematically at odds.)

I also really like Ilum, if only because the idea that the story doesn't stop at 50 and there's a whole well-developed plot with characters and progression and stuff to do beyond the level cap and not just repetitive raiding or PvP is so great.

Illum was alright,Malgus was pretty cool though

  4. I enjoy The old republic because it's different from the other games I've played,it keeps me entertained, the voice acting is SUPERB,and the pvp and planets are great and fun to explore.Plus in the end: it's Star Wars at heart, and I love Star Wars.It has it's flaws but everything does. It's just fun to play for hours on end questing and leveling with all sorts of people and my companions
  5. Smuggler:Chapter 1,the most interesting and creative of all the Smugglers chapters IMO

Sith Warrior:Chapter 3,definitely one of my favorites

Jedi Consular Chapter 3,the most interesting of the jedi consular chapters by far

Sith Inquisitor:It's nice to play an alien in the empire and still be respected because your sith, the story it'self up to the end of chapter 2 is cool so far

  6. Depends on the player. Smuggler is pretty darn good for me because I like to fill in all the little details- like why the smuggler just keeps going after Rogun instead of paying him off or going into hiding with the Chapter 1 treasure. Bounty hunter would be easier to play without an interest in story (if I played that way) and benefits a little less from head-canon than Smuggler.

Gameplay-wise, though, (OMG gameplay on Lore forum!) totally BH.

I do like using the rocket punches :)

  7. well, the bounty hunter's job is to kill people.

The smuggler's job is to sneak goods around the galaxy.

He may fight dirty from time to time, as the occasional brawl occurs, but the bounty hunter is fighting for a living and trains for combat specifically. It's his core business.

So the average bounty hunter would beat the average smuggler in a fight.

Now you can be an unlucky, asthmatic, poorly equipped, down on his luck old bounty hunter who meets a exceptionally skilled smuggler who was trained by a jedi blade master...

    Yeah,I get what your saying

  8. Having played the bounty hunter up to chapter 2 it got me thinking about how the Bounty hunter was compared to the smuggler. The bounty and the smuggler are both considered really freelance because they are not really devoted to neither the empire nor republics cause (at least not in the beginning chapter) because as a bounty hunter your pretty much just doing odd jobs for the empire so they won't bother you while your doing your main work while as a smuggler you could say they do the same thing but it's less serious than the hunters job.

Now in a fight I'm not sure who would win between the 2.The bounty hunter uses straight forward and blunt attacks because their just focused on killing their target, while the smugglers advantage is that nobody really knows what they are capable of,they are extremely random so it can be hard to tell what their going to do next.

So which one do you prefer and why? Curious to see peoples choices:cool:

  9. In a way both the Republic and Empire are evil, especially if you look at it from a neutral perspective. The empire returns after a millennial long period after its crushing defeat by the republic, upon their return they begin the first great galactic war which devastated and changed the course of history and the Galaxy forever.

The republic fights hard to protect the galaxy from the empire.Though sometimes they go to extremes to exterminate the empire such as making secret weapons projects, organizing secret attacks, bombardment. The republic has it's secret weapons such as privateers, like in the smuggler storyline. Now does this make the republic better than the empire? no.I say this because throughout the game you come across republic people who are extremely biased against the empire, they will even kill civilians just because their imperials sometimes.

So mostly what I'm saying is that it depends on your viewpoint and your perspective. Both factions can be both good and bad:cool:

  10. I remember getting a letter from Vette after I married her that she said it's been 6 months since I removed her collar.Removing her collar was an option in one of her first companion dialogues. So I assume that month's go by during your story, like from Imperial Balmorra to Republic Balmorra might be a month apart.Just my take on it:cool:
  11. Found a few more

    Risha

When nearing the Okara droid Factory on Balmorra, and again when entering the Balmorran arms factory, and when entering the burning way on Belsavis

    Khem Val

When exiting the spaceport on Balmorra,Entering one of the imperial warehouses, and cantina at the spaceport(forgot the name of the warehouse) and when entering the trenches just short of the Balmorran arms factory

    Bowdaar

When exiting Aurek Base on hoth Bowdaar commets on how the cold air feels good on his fur

    Qyzen

When exiting Aurek Base on Hoth Qyzen says he'll brave the cold for herald I believe

I'll keep trying to remember/look for more and will be sure to post them on here:cool:

  12. I remember a few off the top of my head

    Aric Jorgan

Near the the republic speeder pad on Voss in Voss-ka, Jorgan comments about hearing stories about Voss and how beautiful it is

    Nadia Grell

Near the republic speeder pad in Voss Ka,Nadia comments about how Voss reminds her of her home and asking if you guys can stay longer and explore

    Elara Dorne

Near the republic speeder pad In Voss Ka,Elara mentions hearing about and wanting to learn more about the Voss's healing techniques

    Jaesa Willsaam - LT

Near the first imperial speeder on Hoth right after you get out of Dorn base, she comments on how she can sense/feel the morale the imperial soldiers and how it's as low as the temperature

I'll try and see if I can remember/find some more and will be sure to post them on here when I get a chance:cool::cool:

  13. In terms of storyline purely, I'm torn betwen Tatooine (both sides), Voss (for the Empire) and Taris (again, the Empire). A close runner-up would be Balmorra (Empire).

If I have to factor the planets as environments, I also rather liked Hoth, Alderaan and Nar Shaddaa but the stories aren't anything special.

Eh Voss for the empire is ok I guess

  14. Balmorra. My Imperial Agent's more of a commando than James Bond, so a war zone suited him fine.

When a local war turned into a Republic invasion, the fur really started flying.

Yeah,I get the same feeling when going through that area

  15. I think now my favorite planet storylines would have to be republic Balmorra and republic Correlia.Doing all these missions to help free and retake those planets made me feel like I was really making a difference.I felt like a real hero of the republic
