  1. thats interesting... since i've found Tharan to be probably the best healer companion of all. (although Treek may top him now).
  2. just on the Ultimate universe... it was well established BEFORE Disney purchased Marvel. Ultimate universe launched in 2000, Marvel was bought by Disney in 2009. Sure you're point is still reasonably valid, but its not a direct comparison, since we've yet to see what Disney will do to Star Wars. They are seemingly becoming ever-more interfering with Marvel... last year is was Marvel NOW with a whole bunch of new Issue #1s and this year its All-New Marvel NOW with more new Issue #1's some on titles that were reset to Issue #1 last year... These "not-a-reboots-but-we-hope-they're-more-accessible" are alienating fans, and not contributing to higher sales.
  3. i think its entirely fair to compare the four TOR force users to movie characters. It's just difficult to rank them. Based SOLELY on the movies and not the expanded universe stuff it might be easier... Hero of Tython and Barsen'thor are mentioned during the game to be extremely powerful individuals, both of which are mentioned to be the most powerful in decades if not generations (particularly barsen'thor). As is The warrior and inquisitor. particularly the inquisitor. Voice of the Emperor and the First Son were both incredibly powerful opponents. I'd think the Old Republic and before produced more powerful Force Users, with the occasional prodigy appearing, like Anakin. HoT could easily be ranked with Mace Windu and Obi Wan. Barsen'thor with Dooku possibly for power and in combat could rival Maul. Certainly neither are challenging Anakin/Vader or Yoda. the Darths would compare too. though i'm not as familiar with the Sith Storylines.
  4. I'd love to see Exar Kun's robes released... and btw... for a drawing of a Sith Lord... wowsa... he's a hottie...
  5. i really loved Secret World... well Kingsmouth.... but Blue Mountains were seriously hard. Kinda turned me off the game. I like a challenge, but i don't have lots of time to invest in "finding my ideal build." its true what they say about BM... once you get there you decide whether the game is for you or not. You can run around Kingsmouth indefinitely tho i suppose... just a bit dull after you've done all the quests repeatedly. I do think the game is breathtaking to look at... animations on character models are so smooth... i sometimes would just watch my toons run around. i love the modern almost WoD feel to the setting as well. it was just the difficulty spike that killed my interest. I'm glad i was patient and didn't subscribe (tho i did buy the disc game for like $10 and a few items from the store)
  6. if it has to be before TOR... the Empire - Republic war, leading up to the events of the Sacking of Coruscant and the subsequent treaty. If not before, then theres still 3500 years before the battle of yavin to flesh out... and still be called Knights of the Old Republic...
  7. /sign i love this idea. male force user, romanceable by both genders, buyable from Cartel or unlocked in Legacy... he could be the first buyable companion i choose to spend my $$$ on. I'd also vote for him being Mirialan... my Mirialan characters are perhaps the most beautiful of them all, and i can easily see any of my toons being attracted to that beautiful green skin, and the probably tormented/conflicted individual within. I like the idea - he sounds like someone quite similar to Mical the Disciple from KoTOR 2... former padawan who left the order (through reasons/actions that we need to uncover through dialogue or companion quests).
