  1. I have had a chance to play almost every character and a sniper agent is by far my favourite. A very good story line that kept me guessing and I can almost deliver and take more damage than my trooper. Once you get up to the high 40's in level you can deliver a pretty fair amount of damage (e.g. orbital strike). I can take on pretty much any elite level 50 NPC (when I hit 48) and win without too much trouble and using my healer companion helps greatly. The storyline is what I liked best though. Many times I was surprised when the plot took a turn I had never anticipated. Lots of fun and never boring, for me anyway. If you play the agent remember to trust almost no one and always plan for some sort of twist in the action. As with any character gear up at every chance and the same goes for your companion of choice.
  2. With the latest patch this morning it would appear that a change has been made. If you have headgear on then the hood is dropped. If you remove the gear (at the loss of the headgear ratings) then the hood is back up. I still wish I could see a toggle applied but that is in the works as has been previously stated.
  3. Exactly and you are right on the money. I absolutely have to level up 2 lvls above the boss in order to defeat him/her. Even with a well geared companion and using stims and interrupts I find myself leaving the class quests and sometimes heading to another planet to lvl up then return. It takes away some of the story line progression and that is maddening.
  4. OK...so I am not the most proficient player but I find that some quests (Jedi Knight referred to here) can be frustrating to the point where I leave the game alone for a few days. I find that I have to pass up a class quest, even if I am the same level as the NPCs, and return a level or 2 higher or I cannot procede. I don't mind difficult but it should be challenging not maddening to the point of frustration and take away the great game experience. I guess what I am saying is that the odd quest borders on heroic rather than a natural progression of the story line. Again maybe it's me but I am curious to hear other's comments.
  5. OK...a little confused. I am on Taris and take the shuttle to the fleet. Not wanting to go with heroic quests (way too low in level) I am trying to figure out how to get back to Taris and my cruiser. I am back in Coruscant now and trying to get back. Any advice or help is appreciated.
  6. I agree (about staying) and am here for the very long haul. I find the story lines well thought out with the occasional twist. And it can be tough to tell at times when a choice will lead to the dark side. Mostly this game is just plain old fun and my WoW account is staying in limbo for some time to come.
  7. 6 hours is about average if you are used to WoW maint times. I can recall in the past year WoW servers being down for an entire day, so long that they had to give players an extra days playing time to compensate. All in all I find the game much more fun than WoW with a true storyline and I believe that Bioware is moving in the right direction with patches and future improvements. It's not perfect but it's much better than I thought it might be. I guess that users are far tougher to please than in prior online games which preceded SWTOR. I accept it for what it is a very good online SW game experience, better than anything in the SW genre that I have seen so far. Just one players humble opinion and probably a little biased an opinion at that.
