  1. Hum, those look pretty nice! I didn't even know Sennheiser made headsets, to be honest. >.> All the ones I've seen in places like JB/etc around the city have always been headphones, haha. http://www.sennheiser.com.au/au/home_en.nsf/root/private_headsets_pc_pro-gaming_504126 - These look pretty nice, what are your thoughts on those? I would honestly go the other Sennheisers + mic, but I HATE having more than 1 chord around me, soooo I'm not so sure. It's probably something I could get used to, but it's part of the reason I went for the BXR's in the first place. Wireless Hybrid is great. Would like to find another like that, just not..you know, Astros. >.> Yeah, I had some problems with my Lycosa a while ago, it was one of the batches that had a broken something-or-rather in the keyboard that made the tilde, six, alt, d, and a few other keys not work. Other than that I love my Black Widow Ultimate/Death Adder. I figure the quality would be about the same, I just like to ask, you know. Just to be sure!
  2. I hadn't even considered this. I've always used headsets, so I've little to no experience regarding mics external from the unit, how would you suggest going about it? Do you mean a mic that would clip on to the unit itself? Or..I dunno, my shirt or something. I WAS even thinking about getting one of those...I'm not sure what they're called, but I would guess they're called "neck mics" or "throat mics" Lol. Anyone have any experience or input regarding those? Those Sennheisers look amazing though haha. LOL immersion! I've seen those about too, they seem like a pretty sturdy set. Ahh! So many options. What to do?!
  3. Haha, funnily enough I was actually looking at these when I was buying my current ones. Maybe I should have gotten those instead of blowing on what I could only call an overpriced piece of...uh, I probably can't say that on these forums without getting banned, huh. >.>
  4. Yeah, my problem with the Astros revolves around the cabling. For such a HUGE cost I figured they would throw in some quality cabling (I ended up paying ~$500 with postage and the extras, battery and all that), but I swear you could just snap these chords in half. They even feel like they're made of horrible cheap plastic, it's not very flexible and I can only imagine severely impacts the quality of the product. What a load of rubbish. I'll definitely look into the TB ones. No-one has any experience with the Razer ones I linked above? Rather expensive, but almost anything would be a step down from what I blew on these ridiculous things. Those Psyko ones looks pretty cool too, buuuut the mic is on the wrong side for me. >.> I know I know, I'm just picky like that.
  5. Hey guys, So I'm looking to pick up a new headset at some stage, and I'm wondering what your opinions on the best options are. I'm currently running some Astro A40 BXR's, but after a huge mess with their customer service I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I've heard there's a Turtle Beach headset out there that provides similar (if not better) sound quality than the Astro ones do, but I'm not sure which one that is. :| I'm also looking at these: http://au.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-megalodon - either way, I'm still not sure which way to go! Anyone have any idea on this TB one I should be looking into? How do the Razer ones rate? Anyone have any experience with either? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. ~Opp.
