  1. You guys are missing an important point ... yes, they retain their influence, BUTTTT it was much harder to achieve 10,000 in affection/influence pre-4.0 than it is now ... you can get legendary companion gifts for 30 green crystals which can yield 2300+ in influence ... so for 120-150 crystals you can get the same amount of influence/affection that it took hours & thousands to millions of credit to get get ... it's a total slap-in-the-face (yes, someone had to say it).

I don't know it all depends on which companion you use the most from level 1. I started a new PT post 4.0 he is at 63 at the moment and I used Mako the whole time and she is at rank 23 and thats without gifts.

  2. Firstly no, because grinding sucks. Secondly, this is a lie. It takes both story and planetary missions now to level, which is unacceptable.

You don't like the "grind"? Hahahahahah. Yeah there isn't a grind and you picked the wrong game if you don't like certain "mmo" aspects. You can literally solo everything except a few world bosses and HM/NiM ops.

I suggest letting the sub lapse and you find something else to do. Game has changed enough we don't need that 12 xp back.

  3. I know that when I got Pierce back on my Warrior he was at rank 10. I think it depends on how you recruit them. Treek and HK both still had rank 10 but I haven't leveled my operative or assassin yet so I can't say for sure if those two classes have rank 10 still.
  4. The problem is you did not do the content when it was current. These flashpoints were added in waves. You did the first two then waited a few months then the next one etc....

So now when you go to start the prelude you have to do them all in order per the story. Once you finish the prelude and actually start the expansion SOR, it plays out like a normal story.

  5. This is one of the few things I like about WoW's support in this regard:

"If the raid leader states clear rules for loot distribution within in-game chat but awards loot differently, contact Support to report that player for scamming. Include details about the rule established and how it was broken. Blizzard will review the chat logs and action the player or remove items depending on the findings."

    That is their policy.

  6. All these people complain about other players not ever running these Flashpoints before, there was a time when you never ran it either.

Take the time to explain something versus wiping over and over and thinking you are better than the tomato you actually are.

  7. Seriously, how hard is it to spell "Harbinger"? You are like the 100th person here to fail miserably when attempting to spell the name of your own server.

Dyslexic people of the world: UNTIE!

It's ok. We know you don't get enough attention from your mommy.

I will continue to spell it that way just because I can.

Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer, Harbringer,

  8. I think we just sort of proved his point. The Original Poster is saying we are basically jerks online. He's right. I am. It's easier to be blunt tactless and thoughtless when I am hiding behind a webpage or my game pixels.

In the end, we are all people. We are all capable of being jerks. We are all capable of being awesome. We all want to rant or rave or defend our version of enjoyment online. It makes us cranky. We don't always see another person's view point. That's the nature of the beast.

My only advice to the Poster is 'Try to read us in sarcasm' instead of reading us in 'insult mode'. It might always be what we intend, but it makes the internet a more tolerable place.

I'm not being a jerk. I cannot begin to understand him when I have to read a wall of text. He literally just typed without using any kind of prose that most people who read are used to. Spacing that's all.

I have never picked up a book that read like he typed. Neither have you. So while you defending him is honorable his understanding of the basic human need to communicate is not.

  9. I just got one of these out of a grand toy pack. It's purple con with what looks like the gold emblem. From what i've read, it's just a quest to watch a shroud video on nar shaddaa and rewards choice of Major Experience Boost, Major Valor Boost or Credit Boom.... Was this item changed at all? Why is something lame like this a gold item?

While the datcube is in itself not that grand, getting all of them grants you a set of gear that can only be obtained through this method.

And the gear set is in collections so you can account unlock it.

  10. So essentially I buy subscription time in the form of some token with real money and exchange that on the gtn for in-game gold? I have no issue if they put something like this in-game. Tho, I'd be charging exorbitant amounts of gold for actual sub time.

In WoW the price is set by the developers not the player.

  11. Why would i even want to start it, if i haven't even completed Rise of the Hutt Cartel on that specific character yet?

I mean, not everyone is going to get into the expansion content, i personally plan to probably have one, maybe two characters per side to go through it, since i doubt i'll ever want to do the alliance grind that many times (since i'm hearing it exactly that, a massive grind), but this thing where they just assume that everyone will start it, will want to do this alliance gathering on each of their level capped characters is.. well, it's not good, in my opinion.

It seems a bit silly to offer those crates to people who aren't middle of the expansion but whatever really, i can live without the heroics, guess i have to do them on the character that is meant to grind up an alliance at some later date is all.

And by massive grind you can finish most of the alliance ranks in a week then yeah sure is.

  12. Yea so did everyone else, the point is we paid rl money for some of these adaptive sets and we cant continue to upgrade them like we have in the past to match the loot drop armor.

Outfitter negates everything you just said here. You like the look of your set? Drop it in a slot then adjust your gear you are "wearing" as needed without losing the look.

    I mean seriously?
