  1. Here, I'll help you:

Blizzard spent $200 million JUST IN 4 YEARS with WoW:

    http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/689279/world-of-warcraft-cost-200-million-since-04/

and that doesn't include development cost or the last 4 years. (2008-present)

So I agree with you it wouldn't cost $200million for 10 years worth of development....it would cost alot more.

You are completely ignoring things like paying for servers, bandwidth, maintenance, engineers, electricity, marketing, etc, etc, etc. Not even close to all that money was spent purely on development.

You are also forgetting how much money Blizzard MADE in that time off of WoW.

  2. Whatever. This is subjective. Feel free to provide your own ranking. On republic side there is Taral V and Maelstrom, then there is Esseles, and then the rest.

You just listed them in order of their normal mode version level/story order. lol.

  3. I have enjoyed some of the raid mechanics. Specifically the G4 fabricater or w/e with the consoles to press and the council of 8/16 bosses to solo. Definately fun.

Huttball is fun when the teams are even (not so much when its a team of juggs/sorcs that steamrolls you) and finding strategies to get to the endzone is fun.

The entire sith inquisitor storyline up through the end of chapter 1 has been amazing as well. Too bad I don't really like playing the class, but I fight through the pain for the story!

SI story is pretty much the worst story in the game.

  4. If you are Empire, the order is like:

    1. Black Talon

    2. Boarding Party

    3. The Foundry

    4. Directive 7

    5. The Battle for Ilum

    6. The False Emperor

    7. Kaon

If you are Republik, the order is like:

    1. Taral v

    2. Maelstrom Prison

    3. Esseles

    4. Directive 7

    5. The Battle for Ilum

    6. The False Emperor

    7. Kaon

The order is the order of seubjective difficulty. The difference isn't that high, as soon as you cleared one or two and got a few artifacts, you can basically go wherever you want to.

You need at least Level 50 blue gear, better to have a few artifacts sprinkled in.

You might try normal 8-Mans as well. Eternity Vault is definitely puggable if you done a few hard mode flashpoints.

So, concerning PvE content, there is quite some stuff to do, and it is fun. The gear in itself is not that much of a reward, but the speeders are nice. The best way to get gear is normal mode 8-mans, where you get T2 rather easily.

I highly recommend joing a guild that likes to go into PvE-dungeons. Furthermore, switch sides (if you are not on a high population server, go there!) and level one or two alts with classes that interest you. On the first alts or whenever you run out of new content, play some PvP. It is fun. More so when having (online)-friends and a TS server to play it together.

All of that will not last forever, but for the beginning 50, there is a lot to try and to do.

False Emperor is pretty much the easiest one besides black talon.

  5. get valor rank 60 and full set of battlemaster gear

or get a full set of rakata gear

until then don't complain about endgame

What does getting a full set of gear have to do with anything? I'm battlemaster and have cleared everything on nightmare mode. What do I care about having FULL rakata or BM gear?

I'd rather not run anymore buggy and boring ops for gear that I don't need and I'd rather not play the BM bag lottery for a .5% upgrade either.

There is literally zero point in even playing this game.

  6. No, actually the patience and attention span of the game community has declined. If Wow was released to day it would be buried just like swtor is being buried by some of its players

So you are saying people are less willing to put up with paying to beta test games today? Good.

    TOR sucks, get over it.

  7. interesting you put a restaurant analogy when (Depending on the restaurant you go to) You order a steak medium you get medium rare. It's not done you send it back to have it the way you like. It's overcooked so now what. You complain demand your money back or a new meal or some kind of compensation. Disappointed but you like the restaurant atmosphere etc. that you go back to it a couple of times to see if it's consistent enough to keep coming back.

In SWTOR It's no different. This game is as 'rare' can be. Most of us want it medium - medium well. There are those that like it 'Rare' Many don't. I like SWTOR but I don't like it 'Rare' It's not done to my liking.

As it is everyone has an opinion.

    So you're saying that:

    A) this game isn't worth paying for.

    B) we should all demand our money back

    C) The game was released too early.

GOTCHA. Great argument in favor of Bioware.... OH WAIT.

  8. TOR is more of an MMO that wow is. In TOR at least you actually need to group for some open-world content. In wow you can level the entire way by joining random groups and facerolling everything (no planning, no tactics, because it's all stupidly easy) with people you don't even need to talk to.

If you want a REAL MMORPG, you need to go back to some of the early ones (pre-wow) where player interaction is requires and most of the content is player made. Problem is Eve is about the only one left

This is the funniest thing I've heard all day.

TOR is quite literally the easiest MMO ever made.
