  1. I feel like I have to just make my voice heard (whether it matters or not) and say that I agree with this 100%. I don't want PVP to be an insta-gib situation. I recognize that Bioware doesnt want healers to be massively OP, but buffing damage across the board doesnt seem like the best solution.
  2. Signed!! 100% agree, great suggestions! Fix the lagged animations, it really can hinder our combat.
  3. I see, thank you for clarifying for me.
  4. I played a sorcerer to 50 and have just recently rolled a sage on a republic server to play with some friends. One of the first things I noticed is that nearly every sage damaging ability inflicts kinetic damage which IS mitigated by armor. Is this real? A caster whose damage is mitigated by armor? I would be ok with this but low and behold, NONE of the sorcerer abilities are mitigated by damage. How long until this gets fixed? Im sure its been brought up before, but I am a new sage and can't hold my tongue when I see something that is so blatantly unbalanced.
  5. While I do enjoy PVE, this post is geared mostly towards PVP. I have been waiting for this game for a long time. With all the anticipation I spent a great deal of time trying to decide what kind of character I would want to play. I read about the sorcerer and immediately knew that it was going to be the class for me. I enjoy playing a class that takes a bit of skill to get its damage off, but is very rewarding when it do. Just for example, in WoW I played an elemental shaman at a fairly high (2.4k) arena rating. I looked at the lightning tree and especially at thundering blast and immediately saw some huge similarities with ele shaman and the play-style I thoroughly enjoy. My BIGGEST problem with the lightning tree is simply the thundering blast talent. First of all it has a 2s cast time. This doesn’t seem like much but in a pvp environment the difference between 1.5s and 2s is an eternity. Especially in huttball when everybody is constantly on the move (dipping behind corners, dropping of ledges, etc). Even though I really dislike the longer cast time on thundering blast I would actually be ok with it if its damage weren’t so pathetic. When I do manage to get my thundering blast off, it will crit anywhere from 1.8k-2.5k depending on opponents gear, etc. This isn’t anywhere close to what other classes are capable of. Lightning doesn’t suffer so much in PVE because you are able to constantly spam lightning strike and rely on your RNG procs to get instant chain lightnings. When you are focused by multiple people as a lightning sorc, you aren’t gonna get many casts off. The whole philosophy behind a class that relies on cast times should be this way. But if you manage to outwit someone and get a few casts off, it should be worth it. I know that madness, corruption, and madness/lightning hybrids are doing very well, but pure lightning is very gimp. My suggestions are something along the lines of: Reduce thundering blast cast time to 1.5s Increase the damage of thundering blast substantially, I’m talking 50-100% more Consider removing auto crit to compensate for more damage. Give us a CD that will make thundering blast instant once every 3 mins or so. I know that I am ranting, but I am very disappointed with how this tree turned out. Other classes are consistently critting me for 4-6k and I as a caster can’t come close to matching that damage and something has to change. I want to play lightning, don't want to play madness. I am considering rerolling a different class and waiting to see if any positive improvements are made to lightning. Thanks for listening to an aging gamers rant! I really want this game to be great.
  6. They are both pretty weak compared to the burst of other classes, but for some reason everyone thinks sorcerers are out there 2 shotting everyone. Buff them both, but make sure thundering blast is stronger IMO.
  7. I find it strange that an aoe spell is the hardest hitting single target ability we have. I wish that they would switch the damage between thundering blast and chain lightning. Seeing that thundering blast is the top tier talent in the lightning tree it should theoretically do more than chain lightning which is much lower in the tree. I realize that the auto crit makes it great, but there is just something awkward to me about the damage these 2 abilities put out. I want my biggest burst to come when I can get a full 2s thundering blast cast off, not when an instant chain lightning procs. TLDR: maybe its just me, but buff thundering blast and nerf chain lightning dmg.
