  1. Good morning! I just got a mail form MMOmeltingPot. They will do a little post and spread the link-love around. It might be wise to brace for increased traffic. EDIT: It's up! http://www.mmomeltingpot.com/2012/12/where-did-swtors-same-gender-romances-go/
  2. Another place Slaign might want to send the article to is The Mary Sue ( http://www.themarysue.com/ ).
  3. I just wrote a short blogpost about this issue ( http://www.in-character.de/one-year-in/ ). It isn't very good, not very long, and whoa, my English is rusty, but it is heartfelt. Unfortunately I do not have a lot of readers, soooooo.... we need a lot more blogposts! EDIT: I just shot off a short message to MMOmeltingPOT ( http://www.mmomeltingpot.com/ ), and informed them about the SWTOR podcast, the LezGetReal blogpost, and my own post. If they do a little post with these links there might be a spike of incomming traffic.
  4. If you have something in mind like the guild Paranoid ( http://www.paranoid-ed.com/ ) I'm in. The character I'm currently playing the most is An'dra (Trooper, healer specced - with absolutely no clue how to play that specc since all my other chars I ever played are DPS). I'm a roleplayer. We are social creatures. You'd think joining a group for a quick FP is no big deal.... WRONG! Every time I try I get a serious case of shaky-hands, and I decide "Another day. Maybe."
  5. In other words: You don't want to share your toys. I played through five of the class-stories, and you have to be willfully blind to not see the subtext to the behaviour of some characters. Kaliyo and Talos for example.
  6. You can also have your skilltree reset on Coruscant and Dromund Kaas.
  7. Even though I am one of the few who still have a degree of hope and faith in BW left I wrote a short message to GLAAD. Because I fully understand and empathize with the anger and frustration a lot of people feel right now.
  8. Recent Tweet from Hall Hood: Hello to all my new followers! My interview on Massively has understandably sparked lots of questions about future #SWTOR content. I'm excited to answer these questions, but please understand there's only so much I'm permitted to reveal right now. Stay tuned. Combine that with the other quote from the Massively interview. I know, I should be a jaded cynic by now, but dammit I want to believe that it means what I am reading into it.
  9. I am straight with a dash of bi-curiousity, also on The Progenitor and interested in a LGBT-friendly guild - preferably a roleplaying guild. Contact Thairen, Vrin (Rep) or Th'ane'a, Hadúr (Imp). Tell me if my posting in this thread isn't appropriate, and I'll delete my post.
  10. Please, don't. It is bad enough that I cannot escape all the Christmas-, Easter-, Valentines Day-, Helloween-, you-namei-it crap in real life. I REALLY don't need it in the game.
  11. Ugh, no. I saw what cross-server LFG did to pugging in WoW... let's not make that same mistake here.
  12. Yes, please! This game needs same gender flirt options implemented yesterday. And no stinking *bleep* needed...
  13. I would accept her on my ship ONLY if the devs give us the opportunity to freeze companions in carbonite. Thana Vesh is stupid. Annoying. And gets herself caught THREE times, which also makes her incompetent. Why would I want to have such a failure as a companion? I always enjoyed curbstomping her after she outlived her usefulness.
  14. I am a resident of The Progenitor, and I would LOVE to welcome refugees from Lord Calypho. *lays trail of cookies*
  15. Combining all European RP-PVP servers into one would actually have been a good idea, which Bioware unfortunately has squandered in favour of a less optimal solution. And I do not flame. I snark.
  16. You are either incapable or unwilling to uinderstand the situation. Fair enough.
  17. This is a special situation since there is only one RP-PVP server for each language, and ergo no clear-cut choice of destination server. So, please, stop derailing the discussion by comparing apples to pears.
  18. Paid server transfers. No one is going to pay if they cannot choose their destination server. So, the routine will get programmed anyway - if it isn't already in place. And the people complaining NOW aren't necessarily the same people who clamoured for RP-PVP servers, so your previous argument is moot.
  19. This is a really bad decision. Everyone knows how toxic the atmosphere on pure PVP servers is towards roleplayers. So, the only choice those who do not want to expose themselves to an endless stream of trolling and griefing, or who are not interested in PVP is to stay behind on a server that is slowly bleeding out? Not acceptable and a show of very poor judgement. This is one of those situations where a tailor-made solution as absolutely justified. Give the roleplayers the chance to migrate to RP-PVE servers in their respective languages, please. As a roleplayer I am sick of being treated as a second class customer.
  20. Nope, you cannot make a silk handbag out of a pig's ear...
  21. I wasn't able to decide, too. Now I level both, alternating each day between them. That way I get awesome rested XP. If you absolutely have to choose? Throw a coin. Both classes are equally awesome.
  22. I finally managed to take the bastard down. Took me a WEEK. *grmbl* After the fight I was literally shaking... Some thing that I noticed when I started up a new Sniper: when you meet Darth J. for the first time his level is 35 instead of 32 in the bugged fight. Dunno if he is also marked as an elite, though. What worked for me is leaving and coming back when I was level 36. Also, running around like a headless chicken, interrupt, interrupt, interrupt, run around like a headless chicken a bit more, and sacrificing Kaliyo. Also, make sure that you can pump out as much damage as you can. I spent a little fortune to mod my stuff up with purple mods, enhancements, armor, etc. Same for the companion you are going to use. Make sure you can bring the pain. The second and third fights were much easier. A friend wanted to help me, but then my stubborness already had kicked in, and I wanted to bring that bastard down on my own. RAWR. My second sniper will just talk him into leaving, because there is no way in hell that I am going to suffer through this again. Maybe. But I encountered the same bug with mobs on Alderaan that were NOT in a dynamic area, though.
  23. Nope, you can totally talk him into taking his ball and going home. Proof!
  24. I am struggling with this quest for almost a week now (my frustration tolerance isn't very high, so I give up after 3-4 unuccessful attempts). Now I am seriously considering rerolling my IA and then choose to talk him down instead of fighting him.
