  1. Simply put - you as a game company should not be deciding what graphic options people can use. You advertised with high resolution textures. You released a beta with them. You SOLD THE GAME with them. We BOUGHT those high resolution textures and now you're telling us that we can't use them because YOU THINK there will be performance issues. That decision is not yours to make after YOU'VE SOLD THE PRODUCT.
  2. Yep, mine was deleted in less than 2 minutes. It mentioned a class action lawsuit. As well as the fact that every facet of game media they presented to the public, whether it was screenshots, video, or the beta, utilized those high resolution textures. It is ILLEGAL to present a product and market it as something it is clearly not, which is what they have done here. Seems to me if they're deleting all posts in reference to legal action - they are afraid of what may come of them, because they are guilty of exactly what they're trying to cover up. If there was no justifiable cause for legal action, what cause would they have to delete posts referencing it and pointing out exactly what illegal actions they have taken. So now again - I really hope this isn't your final answer Mr. Reid. If the textures that every single video, screenshot, and even the beta were marketed with were simply a 'UI bug' and never intended to be used, then they should not have been used in the marketing and promotion of this game. THAT IS FALSE ADVERTISING. THAT IS ILLEGAL. So I really hope you come up with another response for us. Copy pastad for easy reposting. Post deleted in 3.... 2.... 1. Post deleted count: #3 And to anyone spouting anything about the EULA preventing people from sueing them - they don't hold up in court. An EULA can not allow the company to perform illegal actions, even if you agree to it.
  3. If you're going to limit our graphics options due to the lowest common denominator of computer specs, then why not just remove all options, set everything to low, with no option to change it... remove shadows, who needs shadows anyways, bloom, pffft whats bloom most people say anyways. Just remove all that and give us excrement on a plate and call it dinner. Then when people ask why just say all those options available previously were 'UI bugs.'

  5. People are upset because they just bought a new tv that says on the box it support 1080p and instead found when they opened the box a steaming pile of malarkey with a note attached that says '1080p was a UI Bug' enjoy your steaming pile of bull *****.
  6. I really hope my eyes are deceiving me this afternoon. Stephen Reid, you really didn't just try to tell your paying customers that the textures we all played with in the beta, and the game was marketed in its entirety with, was just a 'UI bug.' That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard come out of someone in a professional game development position, whether it be just a PR position or not. And I played WoW, so that's saying quite alot. If this is your solution to the problem, then this situation seems ripe for a class action lawsuit. Perhaps you don't understand the intricacies of false advertising, but it is illegal to present a product as something it is not, which is what you've done here if your statement is at all true. I really hope you get the hand of your puppet master out of your backside and provide us with some information to the contrary, a simple "this is not our solution to the problem, we were just joking, because you're clearly not dumb enough to believe the game was never intended to run with high res textures when every single media facet from beta to screenshots and video on the official website utilized those high res textures and marketed as such." I really do hope your dishonest response is the result of someone's hand up your backside, and not what you really believe. I know I couldn't spew that line of malarkey with a straight face. Though I suppose it helps when you don't have to speak to anyone face to face.
  7. That is not what this thread is about, please take it elsewhere. This thread is about getting what is obviously still very broken, fixed. Instead of scratching out the words "medium textures" with an exacto knife and in its place writing "high textures" with crayons.
  8. I don't have a problem waiting for them to fix it. What really bothers me is the lack of communication about the issue - and I think that is the problem the majority of people here have. I think all most us want is a solid confirmation from someone official that the development team is working towards an actual solution to the problem. It seems the public test server is telling us exactly the opposite - that they don't have a fix, they don't know how to fix it, and they don't intend to fix it. They have renamed medium textures as high and removed the medium option. That is not a fix. That is pretending the problem doesn't exist. Why would they do this? The only reason I can think of is they don't intend to fix it.
