  1. Exactly. Juggs and Guardians are basically being forced to reroll to mara and sent because mara/sent can do everything jugg/guards can do (in 1.2) but better (except taunting woop de doo).
  2. It doesn't have to be so gloomy, and it doesn't have to be an active push pull effect, but rather a passive one. What I mean by that is what has been implemented in a few games in the past actually, where the server itself runs checks on the current balance between factions (players logged in at those random times), and Gives a small stat buff to the faction that has lower presence. I think with them trying to push people to make alts with the legacy crap, the above passive balancer, would in fact be the combination the game needs, because if someone actually perceives the stat buff to be that big of a deal, they will just log on their toon that is on the underpopulated side, in which case it is not "forcing" anything on anyone, but "promoting" balance which is in fact what the game needs.
  3. Another question would be is if it is or isn't 100%, I believe i read something about "empty" RE'ing. So im guessing that means, me wanting to RE a rated PVP piece, would empty it then RE it, so I will not be really losing out on much?
  4. and what happens if it's not 100%, and the RE fails? Do you get the piece back? or do you have to go through the entire process of purchasing the BM/Unrated piece.... then having to get the comms as well to afford the rated piece just to attempt another RE? If that is true, lol another drop in subs inc
  5. Yea the fact it is transferable on the new tiers is the big issue. This will be forcing pple to get the new tier just to rip everything out so they can have the set bonus and the augments. Im also going to expect that unless some huge alteration to 1.2 is made, augmented orange pieces are gonna be priced through the roof. Otherwise they again, are forcing you to chose those proffs
  6. I'd like to get more interaction on the topic because I really do think those are the most important changes for PVP. Some people will ofc be narrow minded and think because their class is getting changes/nerfed it is a bigger issue.. and i direct this question to them "What does a change to your class, big/small, matter in comparison to having noone to play with because a ton of people quit?"
  7. Which is why I make the F2P mention. Them coming out and blatantly lieing to the community and the media that their subs are up or that their subs are actually beating WoW, or that the servers are balanced; only puts more fuel to the fire. They basically said that a month after release and said it again recently. This tells me they really don't have any plans to fix it till so much damage is done, it will be like putting a single band-aid on someone who stepped on a land-mine. We are nearing that threshold, if not at it.
  8. False information, like the Bioware released statements of populations being balanced awhile back? or how about the one where they actually said republic wins the majority of Warzones? A Liar (false advertiser in this case), cannot be assumed to be telling truth just because it wouldn't convenient to your naive thinking otherwise. It has to be convenient to the LIAR. I certainly don't remember any dead/F2P game making any statement that their game was dieing or losing subs at a high rate. Does that mean the playerbase did not notice it? I would think denying said fact about SWTOR at this point, just makes you look more blind. The Titanic was un-sinkable right?
  9. Welcome to Patch 1.2 : Spawn of the Gold farmer. Lets take a look at what we, the playerbase know, which Bioware will do whatever in their power to deny or cover up. A. Subscriptions are DOWN! B. Complaints are UP! C. More low pop servers die out every week. Patch 1.2, and the 3 BIGGEST issues: 1.) Expertise on crappy itemized enhancements for PVP gear Note: They should have just bumped up the expertise on the armor slots, I wouldn't have even done it to the mods myself. This is certainly not something you do when you are introducing a new tier of gear for PVP. Especially not when YOUR OWN employees encourages the swapping of mods and enhancements to better maximize useful stats, which will not be getting +expertise replacements unless they saved the mod/enh they pulled. You are further gapping the PVP and PVE player. With your current subscriber base, not smart to do something that will increase que times more then they already are. This has a chance to make people quit by the aftermath of it. 2.) Crafted Augment slot gear. Note: I could go on and on how wrong this is. You didn't think to just make it a slot you can add to prexisting gear?? derp. So now People will just get the top tier pvp gear, remove all the armor, mods, and enhancements, then slap them into an augmented piece(s). These pieces will probably be selling on the GTN for an EXTREME amount... Since everyone wants equal chance to succeed without having to blame the gear game, this will cause gold farming. It will also make the Rich, richer and the poor..well poorer... Everyone who crafts these items, and has the most time to get the recipes/RE will be super rich... maybe even to the point of Billionare in credits. People that don't have time to farm these massive amounts of credits, will have to turn to rangrang.com or whatever chinese seller and it will be promoting gold farming. If they neither have the time or cannot afford it, They will quit. 3.) Still no Server transfers. Note: Biggest problem with the game since launch was population imbalance. Not a single thing was done to fix this issue. Now you also have the effect of servers dieing. Now with basically all the gear the players on the lower populated servers had to work 100x harder for will be worthless, and when you do eventually have transfers or cross server ques, they will be WAY behind everyone else on the good servers. You cannot even make an excuse to why these are still not implemented, because knowing databases, doing something like switching servers for a character in a game, is actually easier then something like changing the character's gender.... If you look at the history of MMOs, and all the ones that either die or go free to play. Every player from those games will tell you it just one patch or just one expansion that broke the camels back big time, and was the root cause of the games failure. Call me a doomsayer, I don't really care, 1.2 in it's current incarnation, will be that patch. Maybe the investors in bioware, or the decision makers actually want that to happen. Maybe Bioware is actually getting paid off by the big name gold seller sites to make it about credits, who knows.
  10. yea but noone answered the question IS this going to actually make replacing the accuracy enhancements with better PVE ones, the incorrect path? I mean with the graph it looks like the value of expertise was exponentially increased for pvp
  11. Yea someone already linked it to me and I replied thanking them for pointing it out. I also asked questions based on the newly acquired knowledge for me. See here
  12. SWTOR has had game breaking bugs for 3 months, worse engine, doesn't "feel" like the label (where sto actually felt trekky, and DCUO actually felt like a comic/ the cartoons) shall I go on?
  13. Biggest thing I'm appalled over still is the fact they haven't done server transfers yet.... lol I dont see any mention of them for 1.2 either... So they are making pre 1.2 pvp gear obsolete, so the people stuck on any server except the top 5 populated will be screwed. They will have no sense of progression since it already took them 100x longer to get the PVP gear they already have, the pop gap between empire and repub just means empire will get geared out 100x faster even on the low pop servers, making more people quit. We should make a poll to bet on how long before this game gos free to play and servers are merged. Hell , take a look at STO and DCUO, which actually look like they could have easily had 2x the amount of budget SWTOR had, in reality more like 1/2, and they went F2P
