I'll 2nd that. Account wide unlocks are really the way to go. I've got Rocket Boosts lvl 3, all the ship upgrades save the PvP dummy, and full inventory slots. If you're planning on leveling alts, Treek is a good option as well. If you want a pile of credits, pick up a Hypercrate of the gambling boxes and sell them off. The packs go for 300-350k on Harbinger and I imagine it's similar on other servers as well.

I know it isn't gonna happen but... 1. Continuation of class stories. Planet arcs are fine and all, but I just finished Imp Makeb for the 7th time; enough is enough already. 2. Brand new game engine. This one is about the worst I've ever seen. 3. Player housing, or at least ship customization. Seriously, by the end of Ch. 3 the PC is one of the strongest, most respected members of their faction and they still basically live in a car. 4. Brand new Ops and FPs. Reusing leveling FPs was bad enough, but making TFB top tier content for what will be over a year by the time 2.4 comes out make me wonder why I'm still paying for this game sometimes.

You can easily starve yourself if you aren;t careful, especially after using OS. It's more dependent on procs than a Sniper and overall a bit trickier. It's almost nothing like the Sniper version. No Ambush, no SoS. Cull is instant cast, has no cool down and consumes TA. You'll be using Shiv on CD to gain the TA required for Cull; shiv also procs Fatality which makes your next Cull cost 0 energy and generate 1 TA stack. Everything save OS is instant and thus consumes energy when you hit the button. It's definitely harder to master than Sniper. There is no set rotation at all. It's a priority system based on cooldowns and energy level. Unless Adrenaline Probe is up, do not let energy dip below 60. If it is up, drop to 30-40 Energy then activate it. Otherwise you waste part of the effect. The trick is to always have enough energy for Shiv and your DoTs as they cone off CD/expire. Cull you can wait 1 GCD on as you're limited my TA stacks anyway. I'm not really an expert, but I've been able to parse decently for my gear using this: 1: Shiv - The more TA you generate, the more Culls you can fire. 2: CD/CG - Both need to be up for Cull. CD comes first single target, CG first with 2+ targets. 3: Cull - If and only if Fatality has procced or energy >= 79 3a. WB - If available and energy < 79 3b. Rifle Shot - If WB is not up and energy < 79 4. WB - Try not to use it if energy > 90 as you'll cap out and waste some of your regen. 5. BS/Rifle Shot - Purely filler. BS if energy > 70, rifle shot if not.

Aaaaaaaaaanyway, since the OP seems to have gotten lost in the static, here's the best response I can give to the original question. If you need portability for business trips, gaming at a friends house, ect. Grab a laptop. As to which one, well, there's people here who are better qualified than I to give you advice. If do not need a laptop, build your own desktop. You'll get more performance for your money and better quality parts. You can also upgrade piecemeal as you see fit. There's a wealth of information on YouTube about part selection and putting it together; the reddit build a pc forum is another good resource. Or if you'd rather, I'd be happy to assist via PM.

I've played everything save Consular into at least Ch. 3 1. Agent (Neutral, dark leaning) - Didn't like it at first. I hated the entire galaxy by the end, but later realized that it was the strongest emotions I've ever felt about a video game story, except maybe for hating Kefka in FFVI 2. Warrior (Light) - Sort of an anti-hero role, you can be a good person without being boring. 3. Bounty Hunter (Neutral) 3a. Smuggler (Neutral - Dark Leaning) - I rank these together as they are spiritually very similar; both have some good one-liners if you pick the right responses 5. Knight (Light) - Epic scale superhero story, though a bit overdone for my tastes it's still decent but full light side is rather boring. Might be better if played neutral to dark. 5a. Warrior (Dark) - Too much mindless sociopath for me, but still a decent story 6. Inquisitor (Dark) - Great Ch. 1 but falls off hard in 2 & 3. Voice acting for female dark side is probably the best in the game IMO. 7. Trooper (Neutral - Dark Leaning) - Telling your CO to shove it at every opportunity is the only reason I didn't stop playing after Taris.

Both the HD 7850 and GTX 650 Ti Boost (has to be the Ti Boost; not a plain GTX 650 or GTX 650 Ti) are more than capable of running this game. Both cost around $150. Something like this build will run SWTOR just fine and comes in around $600 including the OS. If you already have a hard drive w/ Windows on it that you can reuse, you'll save yourself about $150 which you can use to get an Intel CPU (Core i5 3750K is a popular one for gaming rigs) or a better video card (HD 7970 or GTX 760). GTX 760 Build - Upgrades the GPU to a GTX 760 and CPU to an FX-6300 Intel Build - Core i5 4570 (non-overclockable) and an MSI R7850 TwinFrozr III GPU (excellent cooling system; overclocks like a beast) EDIT - If you are going to go the desktop route, it will benefit you greatly to build your own rig; it's less complicated than putting together most LEGO sets and there's a ton of tutorial videos on YouTube. Gaming PC companies like Alienware, iBuyPower and CyberPowerPC are often overpriced, come with unbranded, slow RAM and inefficient, undersized power supplies. By building a custom PC, you can insure that all components are what you need and decent quality.

OK, that makes sense. I'm not really a Star Wars fan and know almost nothing aside from the movies and this game so not having Darth didn't bother me at all. I'd have much rather they kept Emperor's Wrath since I still use "Lord" on both of my Warriors as you never actually do earn "Darth".

It wasn't an oversight; it's part of the story. The Warrior is recognized by the Dark Council as The Emperor's Wrath and is never conferred the title of Darth. Likewise, the previous Wrath also was not a Darth. The original title you got for finishing Ch 3. was <Name>, Emperor's Wrath. People complained and it was changed. Same thing happened with the Master (light) and General (dark) titles for the Knight, and the ability to create Sith Pureblood Inquisitors (originally not an option, added last minute before launch, completely thrown out the window with legacy unlocks).

I won't say that I hate this game, but for me I keep playing precisely "Because there's nothing better at the moment". I've tried a lot of the newer games. Most had aspects I liked. All of them, however, had some game breaking flaw that turned me away after 2 months or less. Wall of text regarding said other games Then there's SWTOR. I was here for release, stuck it out through EV/KP while many of my friends quit. Things were looking up with EC, TFB, and the much needed QoL improvements made. I honestly liked the CM at first too. I got $6 per month "for free" to spend on convenience unlocks like added inventory space, rocket boots, ship upgrades, etc. Even Makeb, IMO, was worth the $10 I spent on it. Slowly but surely though, EA is driving me away from the game with their perceived focus on said CM. And while SnV is still relatively fresh and fun, good grief, just let TFB die already. No matter what difficulty tweaks get done, it's still the same instance we've had for 9 months now, and they're trying to sell it as new content. The game I'm most looking forward to is FFXIV. I had a chance to play in the beta last weekend and read the beta tester forums most of the week waiting for servers to come back up again. The game play feels a lot more like an FF title than an MMO. The quest givers are amusing if you take the time to read everything. What's selling me most on the game though is the attitude of the developers. They're passionate about making a great game and they listen to player feedback.

Right, and if you see what time my guild cleared you'll see that we are in the same boat as most Aussies when it comes to the log in race. We do not start until 11:30pm PDT, over 12 hours after the server first guilds cleared WH. Still, Hatred has been server first on Harbinger for a while now and any guild that beats them deserves congratulations.

Getting the parts shouldn't be an issue. New Egg and Tiger Direct are both good stores, just a matter of which one has the better price. Personally, I use Tiger Direct as they have a store in driving distance so I don;t have to pay shipping. Also, its in a state with no sales tax

This is probably the best advice here. I would also add that you can save a boatload of money by building it yourself as well. The components are generally cheaper than a pre-built if you match it part for part. You'll also be able to reuse parts, and build to suit your own needs. If you're on a very tight budget, you can probably reuse the case, HDD, motherboard, RAM, and possibly PSU as a stopgap leaving just the video card and CPU for now. As far as video cards go, Radeon has been outperforming Nvidia in the budget category for some time now. The GTX610 and 620 have gotten consistently worse reviews than comparable Radeon cards (I can never keep their numbering system straight so I'm not even going to try). As for the CPU, video games do not really take advantage of 6-8 core processors. You'd be better off with something like a 3.4GHz quad core than a 3.0 GHz 6 or 8 core, both of which cost about the same. Other things like Photoshop and video editing software do effectively use the extra cores making those CPUs a better value for that kind of application. The other thing you need to do is check your power supply. If you're running a pre-built chances are it's 300-350W, which is too small. Most modern video cards require at least 500W; I would suggest at least 600W to be safe if you have to replace it anyway. In total, you're looking at about $65 for the GPU (Radeon HD 6670), $75 for the CPU (3.0 GHz Quad core), and another $45 for a PSU (600W). Doing this should let her play smoothly on low settings. Looking down the road, you want to upgrade to Windows 7. XP was a good system, but it's no longer supported by Microsoft and probably will not run modern software. Windows 8 is essentially a phone OS ported to a PC. You'll also want to upgrade the RAM to DDR3, which means a new motherboard as well.

Part of the problem is the way certain specs were designed in the first place. Take Assassin tanks, Carnage Marauders, Immortal Juggernauts, and Rage warriors. As others have said, the capstone talent is really required for those specs to function correctly. The best solution, IMO, is to restructure those trees such that their current top tier talents are moved into the level 25-30 range while moving "nice to haves" into the top of the tree. If they would just swap Crushing Blow with Backhand and Sweeping Fury (increased rage when being hit) with Force Grip (non-channeled Force Choke) they'd give level 30 Juggs the resources and tools to effectively tank still keeping those abilities out of reach of other specs.

MS also will not give any gaming company access to their Live servers or allow them to act as a pass-thru anymore. Square Enix ran into issues over this when negotiating to develop an Xbox version of FF14 ARR. The SE execs have basically said that unless MS changes their policies, cross platform servers are impossible and you will not see any MMOs on the Xbox.

I've gone through it once as light and once as dark. From what I remember (admittedly it was a long time ago you are offered different choices at the "critical moment" depending on what alignment you are. IIRC, my Jugg (Dark) did not have the option to keep her as light and my Marauder (Light) did not have the same choice I made on my Jugg available. With all the whining about hood toggle and Revan's chest that have gone unanswered, I fear no amount of it will ever get me the Emperor's Wrath title

They changed a few things back in late beta due to people whining on the forums; the General title was one such change.

Just be aware that you cannot create a new character if you already exceed the 6 allowed active toons on your server. So make sure you create it before your sub runs out if you're planning to start from level 1.
