  1. Hate to break it to you, but there are FAR MORE REASONS FOR the level cap than reasons against. It's that simple. So it is not going away.
  2. You need to be more clear in what you are asking for. There is both Vendor Gear and CM Gear that is Legacy-bound, some of which I do use as a Legacy's 'signature gear'. The idea of being able to change a weapon's color isn't a bad idea; it would be cool if they added this!
  3. I support this! /signed! An updated Revan set would be most welcome!
  4. I like this idea. Adding a Focusing Lens slot to Melee and Ranged weapons, keeps the Tuning Slot free for other, secondary effects, and would allow the Blade Beam/Blaster Bolt to be dialed up or down (thicker or thinner) by choice of Lens!
  5. /Signed I too have been wanting this; almost the entire community has, for the longest time!
  6. Action: Un-nerfing Resource Nodes (restoring both the number of Nodes per Map, and the quantities of resources provided per Node) Why: Reducing the rewards for Slicing, Scavenging, and other mat-farming Crew Skills, diminishes the players' return on investment. Making it take longer to obtain the resources players need to buy/make/sell/trade in-game goods, not only sours the players' experience, it takes time away from playing the main content (RP, PVP, Conquests, etc.), iow, the top selling points of your product. When players are dissatisfied with a product, they stop buying. Action: Eliminate the Fee for the Next Tier of Crew Skills Why: A half-million Credits to access the next/endgame tier of Crew Skills is a blatant Credit-sink, and a hinderance Crafters & Gatherers alike, do not need. Especially when coupled with the aforementioned nerfing of in-game Resource Nodes. Increasing the Crafters' & Gatherers' costs of doing business, drives up costs on GTN, hurting the game economy and the players, and re-widens the divide between subscribers and non-subscribers that recent QoL Enhancements were supposed to FIX (namely raising F2P & Preferred Credit Caps to 2 million). Action: Restore the Balance of Mats Cost in Crafting. Why: Increasing the Costs of Mats Required to Craft Items, like the Resource Nerfing and Credit Fees for the Next Tier, are BAD IDEAS, Forcing an increased demand for Crafting Mats hurts the Crafters and the game's economy by forcing inflation of Mat Prices on GTN, in turn forcing inflation of Crafted Items. Players that enjoy Crafting, will eventually quit Crafting in SWTOR and move on to other games with better balanced (less restrictive) Crafting Systems. Action: Restore the Specialty Goods Vendors that have been Removed/Disabled Why: For myself and many of my friends, the unique gear these vendors offered made them a primary destination on most planets, and something I looked forward to. Removing/Disabling them did ZERO TO HELP THE CARTEL MARKET. What the Removing/Disabling of them did, was REDUCE PLAYERS' OPTIONS/CHOICES; this action was counter to the stated goal of "CHOICES MATTER" as it took away/reduced players' customization options. Since Customization of Gear is a big part of the GAME GOING FORWARD, THE TIME IS NOW TO BRING THESE BACK, AND USE THEM TO SUPPORT NEW GEAR OPTIONS. Perhaps by adding Relics or Implants that compliment the new sets & Tacticals recently introduced. Action: Block Vendor Goods from the Galactic Trade Network Why: Beyond being an Unfair Trade practice that could get BioWare/EA in trouble with most of the proposed new legislation, players making Credits by EXPLOITING NEW PLAYERS, is a bad practice that hurts the community and drives new players to other games where they are treated better. There are plenty of ways to make Credits in game WITHOUT BEING AN EXPLOITER. Some of these Exploiters are doing this specifically to 'pad' the GTN and force inflation of Credit values for non-vendor gear (Loot, CM, Crafted...). Hurting the game's economy hurts the game and the players. Bad Business is BAD FOR BUSINESS. These changes are needed so very, very strongly NEEDED. Not just for myself, but the community as a whole. I will be holding back my Subscription Dollars and Game Credits in the meantime. Better Player Experiences are the BEST SELLERS OF SUBSCRIPTIONS BECAUSE THEY BRING PLAYERS BACK FOR MORE.
  7. Woulda been NICE if the Account Wide Cargo Bay Unlock applied to the Legacy CB when used. Disappointing that was not the case but not surprised; I was however rudely surprised by the limit of only 5 bays & had to mail the other unlocks to alts, as well as the other packs & crates to alts to open as I can't sell stuff fast enough to open everything.
  8. Too late. Uber-Nerfed it, they did. Thx for trying though.
  9. The answer of a little snot/troll, and a reason I seldom take time to even log into the forums; I don't have the luxury of time to play whenever I want. Try picking a fight again and I will report you for it.
  10. How many more nasty surprises should I expect? the blatant, shameless money-grab of retroactively turning some of the adaptive gear we bought from Vendors using the commendations into Artifact Equipment is about as wrong as it gets! You don't poison the well to sell cure! Doing stupid *** BS like this isn't going to sell more unlocks; if anything it'll make more players - subs, preferred and f2p - go to other games. Its basic economics; I guess EA dropped that class.
  11. On most of my characters I have Sacrificed personal gains for Companions' Armor. I enjoyed the customization we had and kitting them out. Some Mission Rewards & Loot Drops that were useless to the char I was playing but BoP were perfect for my companion. Not to mention the Basic Comms I spent upgrading gear for some Companions! Across the 4 servers I play on i have over 100 characters. My gearing strategies are all kriffed now, and I'm stuck with equipment I can't use & can only sell to vendors for peanuts? What I most want are the companions' gear slots back & have that as it was but since that is most likely not going to happen, then either give us a vendor that will give us THE BASIC COMMS VALUE WE SACRIFED FOR THE ARMOR OR FAT STACKS OF CREDITS!! I Sacrificed time I could've been playing STO or DCUO to play SWTOR. Make this this right. --Angry Subscriber on 3 of my 7 Preferred Accounts
  12. At the moment, 3 of the 7 are subbed. prior to that all 7 were Preferred. Sorry its taken so damn long to get back to this but life's a ditch and I got smacked down hard. As to my last post, My bad! It wasn't Eric, it was James! James Ohlen talks to Christiane Imdahl James Ohlen talks to host Christiane Imdahl recorded by Jerba Transcript of the video from Jerba http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=828286 Christiane: Yeah, he’s a great character. So I heard that the game will start at level 60, so what’s for players that have never played the game before? James Ohlen: So, with KotFE we wanted to make sure that people who were returning to the game, or people who had never tried out the game, were able to jump right in. So– But at the same time, we don’t want our existing fans to feel like they’re being left out. So, the Story revolves around the Outlander, who is a Veteran of the wars from the main game, and if you are a person who has already been playing the game, you have a veteran of the wars because you have your main character. And several years passed, and that character becomes the Outlander. But if you are a new player, you can create a brand-new Outlander; choose whether it’s going to be male or female, the appearance, what class they are going to be, and then that Outlander becomes your main character in the game. So you can jump right in as an old fan but you can also jump in as a totally new player. From AlrikFassbauer on the forums If you arrive in the new expansion, there will be a double warning that you cannot go back and finish any of your quests which are still open ! Especially class quests ! From Kiandra •We stood up in a group and talked to Ben Scott. Not sure whether this was mentioned before, but he was asked whether the collection will get a search function. His answer was that he is not allowed to answer this now, but there will be changes. He hinted to the collection when getting asked for more cargo bay spaces. •In addition he said that you will be asked twice before starting the KotFE quest. Every unfinished class story, companion story and the other storylike quest lines (like Rishi/Yavin, Ziost) will disappear and cannot be finished anymore. Nevertheless he confirmed that you will still have access to all planets you could visit before as well as the fleet. The known planets will look as they ever did. SWTOR Gamescom Cantina Tour Q&A - Dulfy.htm It sure sounds like they plan to pick one of a player's chars as the "main" and "BAM!" its that player's Outlander now! Enjoy! Hence my concerns and the hope the Devs Wll Answer. But I'm not a happy subscriber since changes to Companions & Companion Gear have screwed me over big time, and now I'm screwed-again on the 'jump-to-60' issue, according to Eric Musco in that other thread, link in a post ahead of this one.
  13. So who is the LIAR? James Ohlen? AlrikFassbauer? Kiandra? Eric? Any number of BioWare Officials who've made statements on this subject? I am beyond furious and sick of this left hand/right hand doubletalk. Based on information given by named parties it had been my understanding that existing characters could be taken to 60 for the new content. To that end I bought character slots for the characters I wanted to roll & level as my Outlanders (I have 3 of my 7 accounts subbed and now I'm regretting it). According to your statement, I will not get the option of taking an existing character straight to Lv 60 when I am ready to do so, contrary to various statements made by your cohorts. I just learned of this thread today. Unlike most of the community I don't have the luxury of time nor 24/7 internet access. I preferred to use most of what little 'free' time I had internet access outside my school & study schedule playing when I could, not trolling the forums. RL events & circumstances prevented from benefiting from the 12x bonus as I barely got to level 4 of my 70+ subbed characters. Your statement if correct means I've been wasting my time and my money.
  14. One of the later Dulfy.net articles that reposted bits from interviews. I think it was Musco that stated there was an option (Start at 60 or upgrade existing to 60) but I'd have to check. The lack of detail was why I made the initial post here.
  15. Agreed. And I would like to add this: http://assets.enjin.com/wall_embed_images/1440123507_Shroud_02--Sweet_Droid!!.jpg So, HK, this bad droid the Shroud unleashed on Makeb players, and more full-on droid armor sets! Please and Thank You!
