  1. I won't lie. I loved playing this game and leveling up. But that's not saying much when it comes to Bioware. I loved playing and beating Mass effect as well as Dragon age as well as KOTOR. In many cases I've re-beaten these games...but only after some time has passed. Normally, a minimum of about 6 months. This game boils down to the simple factor that it just feels like kotor 3. I love the idea of kotor with my friends but how many times can I run through the same quests on just a separate character? In console games like Dragon age and mass effect etc. it takes maybe 2 days of dedicated playing if you skip alot of the conversation to hit max level and normally beat it. This game? Much longer... Don't get me wrong doing it the first time was epic and awesome but that seems to be this games only selling point and it's just not what I play an mmo for. I don't play an mmo to get to level cap ("beat the game") and then just do it all over again. This game just feels empty at level 50. I've seen other forums and even watched the guild summit. 38% I believe it was that actually participate in ops? Yeah...and? Honestly its not just because of all the bugs. The hardcore raiders already did them with the bugs included. I'm more relaxed. I play for fun. Sure I love a challenge but the elitism that seems to be required for raiding often brings out the pretentiousness in those same raiders. The majority of people don't like to do ops because of that. In my experience many people just stick to the solo content or whatever else they can do with really small groups. Its not just that. In general when you play this game at 50 you have three things you can do and none are all that fun if you aren't already established and doing them frequently anyway. 1.- Run Operations (for many the elitism ruins this...even WoW had to incorporate a finder for this.) 2.- Hard modes (this also pertains to ops but in general its too difficult to find players to do them because they all die to easy) 3.- PVP (enough problems to make its own section in the forums with contant complaints. yes its pvp so people will cry but some have merit.) ^TO ALL OF THE ABOVE POINTS one major thing can be said about them all when it comes to a common enemy. Not enough people on. Why? Well I can give one reason I've always been a lone wolf kinda guy. I like to think I'm not alone in that aspect (ironic I know). I've played many MMO's and I've had much enjoyment out of many of them. Guild Wars had the best companion system I had ever seen until this game and I'm happy that was incorporated into this. In fact SWTOR has pulled many good aspects of inspiration from many other mmos. The only they haven't? The portion that allows people like me to make use of this companion system. SOLO AND JUST FUN MESS AROUND CONTENT. ^THIS is where WoW has succeeded more than any other MMO I have played. Nearly every week there is some holiday or some crazy event people can sink their time into. Don't wanna count that? How about rep grinding? Yeah it can suck when you HAVE to do it for gear to start hard modes and that's a TERRIBLE IDEA AND SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO HAPPEN!<---(Seriously...never). But its another aspect to the game. I loved rep in WoW. I loved being known in towns I walked through being acknowledged by the npcs. It seems strange to me that in this MMO where you are made to feel important I can't highlight half the npcs in the world because they are just animation walking around and not actual models. Better yet these people whom I saved on tython don't even say the slightest but of appreciation. They just keep pacing outside the jedi temple endlessly. I had titles for my rep. I could get special and VERY EASILY DISTINGUISHABLE mounts or mini pets from these same rep grinds. THIS IS WHAT THIS GAME LACKS. Above all else this game feels empty due to its lack of "just play around" functions. No rep, no fishing skill to max out, the space combat is droll and can't be completed any faster no matter how skilled you are due to them being on a timer. No holiday stuff. And whats worst of all? An entire universe that seems to view your existence (in my case jedi master who saved the republic from the true emperor) as a blip on a radar screen. I expect that from other players. After all we all have the same story if you're a jedi knight. But these npcs? They should love my character for saving their lives. My title even says I did so. The world makes me feel as though if my subscription just ran out, hell, if EVERYONES' subscriptions just ran out...the world of the old republic would continue on without needing any of us. The unnamed smugglers sitting the in bar on the fleet would keep planning their little deeds and the guards who infinitely patrol the walkways would be enough defense for the galaxy. These legacy features seem to be right up my alley and could potentially save me a lot of grief. Only "rep grinding" one time? Awesome. Having an O **** heroic button that makes me essentially a raid boss for a short time in PvE environments? VERY awesome. Always cool to show off to your friends or new players, Having to reach level 50 to unlock a race from the sith side that I wanna re roll as a jedi to say I have one to hit 50 again? ....Not so much. This all has obvious kinks and the crafting system, though I love it, does need a higher RE chance (which is also being addressed I know) among other things. I don't want to watch this game die but I don't feel like I can play this game for fun. If I don't wanna do hard modes, ops, or pvp...what's there to do? I mean really? This isn't a threat to Bioware or a "I'm quitting cause you guys SUCK QQQQQQQ." This is me saying Bioware please fix these things. I'm sticking around till 1.2 at least but if I can wet my throat with some content I'll enjoy for love of the game and a less anger inducing crafting system, then I'll just be monitoring at a distance hoping something gives me some hope for this game. Long read I'm sorry but I hope this helps something. **ALSO** This was origonally posted in the general discussion and was immediately discredited as another "QQ this isn't WoW" forum. That said I played Guild Wars much longer than I did WoW and loved Guild Wars for the same reasons I love this game the only difference is I didn't pay for guild wars. I also left guild wars because there wasn't enough just down time stuff to do. All in all this is a suggestion for just more fun stuff but without the details of WHY I say this my argument has no credibility.

  3. Not saying that's out of the question, but I believe they wanted to keep that sort of cut scene out due to their characters not "saying what they would want them to." Some people would complain about it with no question. Not me. Just playing devils advocate here.
  4. I'm leaving the posts that I believe to be relevant in that post. Spreading propaganda is ALWAYS a bad idea. The republic needs more player base yes. Throwing rocks is much less cool than lightning...it just is. In galaxies (I KNOW IT'S NOT THE SAME GAME) a jedi could spec in the dark side of the force and remain loyal to the republic. There are jedi, Plo Koon, who have used the dark side of the force (in the form of force lightning) and also remained loyal to the light side. That said, for point one I agree. In my small experience with the sith warrior compared to my whole time as a jedi knight I am very angry. The jedi feels less "free". That's honestly not how my fantasy of the jedi goes. I am completely aware that the jedi are servants of the republic and that they give up a lot of their own personal desires. That's perfectly understandable. What erks me is the utter lack of any reason to do anything dark side aside from just to be a *****. I've wanted to kill many a senator. Perhaps force persuade them to do my bidding as a jedi and get something done in the senate. Much of the same way Anakin desired. I'll take the dark side points for it. I really don't care. I just want the option to "make a difference in the galaxy MY way." Where as a sith warrior when I was evil it was expected. If I was good. I was benevolent and many of those around me (who didn't view it as weakness) took it as "Oh our leader is capable of understanding while still being an absolute ******." POINT BEING - I feel tied to the light side as a jedi where I don't feel that as a sith with the dark side. For point two, I agree again. The sith got three races which are much more iconic than a bind dude and green people. Nuff said on that one. Point three. Yes, completely true. Having sith only gear and jedi only gear kind of annoys me. I'm aware this isn't WoW but Warriors on both sides wore mostly the same get up. You've never wanted to be a sith wearing a jedi robe to pose as the enemy? You've never wanted to be a TRUE fallen jedi? Some things being one side only (pvp gear for instance) I can see, but for the rest of it NO! Point 10 (or 4 on my list). While this would be cool I don't see it happening. Shen has somehow become the defacto leader of the republic. Why not make a supreme chancellor who's just an absolute bad***? Jedi taking major leadership roles isn't new. Leading the republic in its entirety with NO other republic face to answer to THAT EVEN WE THE REPUBLIC PLAYERS HAVEN'T HEARD OF? Absolutely not. I mean I bought the limited edition, the closest thing that the light side got (while I love this thing) was a book where the dark side got a statue. And last but not least point 11, or, point 5 for me. This is by far the most childish thing I've seen. Making a post to help the imbalance effort is commendable, but when you make us out to look like children who cry over who got the cooler color; it makes out side seem less fun. I understand Mace used it. I also understand from my knowledge of the universe he got his crystal on Ilum and it was unheard of in his time. BUT if you know ANYTHING about mace you'd know he was close to the dark side. He understood his dark nature and that's what made him strong. I won't go into all the details but he used the Vapaad form of lightsaber combat which he mastered and I believe invented. A form where you channeled your opponents (usually sith) own force energy against them. Since this often tapped into the dark side of the force it brought you terribly close and Mace lost many apprentices by trying to teach them this form. With all of the above said I will say that the alignment system, while fun and new, it kind of irritates me that a crystal would react to alignment. If that were true then when Obi-Wan came after Anakin after he murdered children his lightsaber would have either de-equipped itself (LOL) or short circuited (LOL). Neither happened. Saber crystal color has only been red for sith due to the fact that many synthesized crystals have that color and its become iconic. Blue and green were colors found on the jedi home worlds in caves when a padawan was sent to get a crystal. My honest suggestion is remove the alignment from saber crystals entirely its pointless and imho stupid...Adi Gallia is a prime example of a JEDI MASTER USING A RED CRYSTAL WHO WAS FAR FROM THE DARK SIDE!
  5. Yeah sorry BW but 330k for 10%? Haha, yeah, I think I'll take my chances. It doesn't even feel like a "speeder".
  6. Tbh I'm surprised they didn't do something with this. Bioware is big on story telling so my guess is because involving two players in this in game marriage wouldn't add to the "story" they had laid out. No use for the voice over mainly. But, in one of my earliest experiences with an MMO (actually it WAS my earliest) Conquer Online allowed marriages. And that game is out classed by FAR by this game. Whats kept it alive is constant feature updates. Like the ability to change armor color which I would love out of SWTOR To the OP, I play with my girlfriend a good bit as well and SHE has often asked why this feature was not part of the game considering the companion thing. In fact were I able to marry her character in game I never would have flirted with my companion just to DO it in the first place. That could be -A- reason behind their decision not to allow player marriages.
  7. ^this. I loved in galaxies (I know its not the same game guys, I know.) You could get a two seater pretty early and I loved questing with my friends in this game. This would just add to the fun.
  8. Maybe not with THIS much level of freedom but I do support this idea. Maybe even paying in game currency to change your name. Certain RPers would LOVE this feature. Maybe allow the "legacy" to be unchangeable. That would be acceptable as long as the surname part was able to be changed and possibly separate. PLEASE BW I would love to see this happen!
  9. The is definitely a good idea. Considering Twilek can't have hair and its cannon that they can dye their skin that's a great option as well!
  10. Even if a Dungeon Finder option isn't put into this game I would highly suggest making the LFG option more obvious. I love the LFG option. I playing some of the original WoW and while yes after a time finding a group to run lower level instances was hard due to natural game progression, and most where high level it required me to be more social. Maybe ask for a run through from high levels. That helped people who were in guilds recruit actual new players as well at times. Not just lowbie characters. In WoW though the LFG option had its own button and screen. It wasn't just built into the /who screen in a (sorry BW love the game but) sloppy manner. I do however LOVE that it puts the little LFG icon beside your name. VERY helpful. The main issue with this is that its so out of the way that many players either don't know about it or don't care to use it because they know not many know about it. They are just gonna look for the guy spamming chat.
  11. I support this idea soooo much. I find myself spending much of my down time at level 50 on my ship sending companions out and doing space missions. In between that I'm pvping. None of which require me to leave my ship. Annoying to go through three small areas at times for me to get to a mail box.
