It isn't unfair, what it is is imbalanced. It's essentially the same as one class dominating PvP... It's fair because everyone can play as that class, but it detracts from the game and makes people feel forced to play a way that they might not want to.
All crafting professions should yield equal benefits as they do in WoW. There shouldn't be a "PvP profession" thats just stupid. Players should be able to craft what they want without feeling that they need to compromise and be gimped in PvP.
Bioware made the mistake of giving some classes utiltiy bonuses like stims/adrenals and grenades while other classes have stat bonuses through BoP mods and gear.
This means that Bioware will need to balance two bonuses that can't really be compared... It's never going to be exact therefore crafting profs will not be balanced. The bonuses need to be quantitatively the same, all crafting profs should grant an exact bonus to stats through enhancements/jewels/etc like in WoW or through another system, but it needs to be the same.
