So for the first time ever after 4 years of playing this game, I was booted from an operation for "poor play". I've played all the roles in this game, mostly dps and tank but dabble in heals sometimes. I regularly parse between 5500 and 6000 dps in nearly all story mode op fights (except those with exceptional downtime) so I feel like I know how to play the role I choose. However, I am new to op healing (I've healed plenty with sorc including underlurker during 3.0).
The op was 8M SM ToS. The boss was underlurker. I was kicked after 3 wipes for not healing well enough as an operative. The other healer was a sorc. 3 ranged dps and 1 melee. Sin and PT tank (1 of them specced dps).
I was pulling 5900 to 6100 eHPS with about 30 apm during this fight with a pretty high usage rate (80 to 90%). People were dying during rage storm or right after it when you get knocked back. People weren't stacking together behind the same rock for heals, dps was out of range, adds were still up after rage storm, and I'm pretty sure there were some people not even behind rocks during rage storm.
Group accused me of doing too much dps, of not even being heal specced, of spamming diagnostic scan. The tank got mad at me for putting corrosive dart on underlurker before any adds spawn (a time with very little outgoing damage on a fight known for wipes due to poor dps).
I'm pretty sure dps was taking way too much unnecessary damage but I was kicked regardless. My eHPS and usage rate seems fine from what I've read for this fight.
Was I booted justifiably or was this group full of fail?
