  1. Playing it out is all I can do at this point, though I appreciate the response. A little "hey we're working on it" from the companies involved would be even more appreciated, but you know, you take what you can get :/
  2. Same here. Every hour, on the hour, just to lodge a complaint until I have the CE in my hands. I am one customer and at the mercy of the only retailer with the remaining box. I don't have a lot of discretionary funds. I couldn't order it from elsewhere and I can't go out the day of tooling around just to see if someone else perchance has it in stock. I really don't think that asking the producers of the game to step up their shipping and lean on their distribution partners is asking too much. Come ON BioWare... I've done literally everything I can. I'm trying not to be a huge witch over this, but you and mainly Walmart are making this incredibly difficult!
  3. ^^^^^^ Pretty much this. I can't add anything else.
  4. I wasn't planning to, given how many times I've had the story change, but faking supervisors? Good lord... I can't even begin to put my thoughts on that to words. This is what happens with a lack of accountability. Believe me, Walmart wasn't someone I wanted to pre-order from anyway... but by the time I had the money together for the CE it was that or Best Buy and I was reading everywhere that Best Buy was messing up pre order codes, so I went with what seemed like the lesser of two evils at the time. Bah. Is it so much to ask for BioWare to look into this bull? It's really reflecting poorly on them that they won't even issue a statement about when things are shipping, etc...
  5. Yeah, after they passed me to a supervisor, they said it wouldn't be shipped until the 23rd. I had to hang up after that. -_-; The Grace Period: I'm getting the distinct impression that BioWare assumed there'd be a grace period, because why the hell wouldn't you? And what happened was EA came down and said "are you kidding me? No free game time for people who preordered." Or I could just be hoping it wasn't actually BioWare so that I can keep liking the company Either way, this really bites! I really wish there was something I could do - and I KNOW there's something BioWare can do ... and they just won't. And it bothers me that no one seems to care about providing a good product and good service... like no one has any pride in what they're doing. IDK. Sometimes I wish I could be loud and angry about it. =_= But I'm mostly just frustrated and tired of dealing with it.
  6. Executive Email Carpet Bomb? Yes, Yes I think I will To All It May Concern, My name is ----. On 11/15/2011 I preordered the Star Wars: The Old Republic Collector's Edition game from your online store. ( Order Number ) On 12/4/2011 I was sent an email that stated my order would appear cancelled because of a system glitch, but was not actually cancelled. Since this day, I have routinely called in to Customer Service, spoken with many associates and their supervisors, called into the corporate customer service numbers and their supervisors and gotten a LOT of completely different answers about what has been going on with my order. To summarize: My order has been cancelled, but not, then placed in processing, then partially refunded, then discontinued, then re-ordered, then the funds were reauthorized, but no shipment has been made and the ship date that I was told over and over again has been changed and shifted from 12/20 (which was late to begin with, many people who also ordered from you already have this product in their hands) to 12/23. I have been told that there is no way to change this ship date (either of them) and there is no way to change the shipping even as a customer service issue for no one being able to tell me why you have my money and I have yet to even see my product SHIPPED, a month after I ordered it and five days after the manufacture claims you received the product. There is a thread on the SWTOR forums addressing this - in fact there are two. There are MANY people who have been through the same problems as I have. A lot of them have chosen to cancel their orders with Walmart and order from another company instead. Frankly, I would have by now as well except that you've already charged me again and, as I don't make a lot of money, I don't have the funds to shop with someone else while you still have the money I originally saved up for. This is completely unacceptable. Being told by your customer service representatives that they cannot figure out what is wrong with my order and they cannot fix it is unacceptable. Being told to wait 3 business days for someone I cannot get in contact with to "get back to me" about my order with no guarantees it'll even be fixed is unacceptable. Taking my money and not giving me a product or service in return is called THEFT. And I am making sure the over 1 million people that pre ordered this game and have access to those forums knows this. I am not the only one and I won't be the last. All I am asking you to do is ensure that the one present I will be getting this year actually gets to me this year. That I get what I paid for. I really don't think it's too much to ask. Looking Forward To Your Reply, Name and Contact Info Don't Forget To Link Back To This Thread. Walmart Executive Emails To The Best Of My Knowledge: To: michael.duke@wal-mart.com, stephen.horsey@wal-mart.com, william.wilson@wal-mart.com, alberto.dominquez@wal-mart.com, lee.culpepper@wal-mart.com, sfbenne@wal-mart.com, jana.carter@wal-mart.com, tltalbo@wal-mart.com, michael.duke@wal-mart.com, carmenvondette@walmart.com, drushman@walmart.com, dcarpenter@walmart.com, dginn@walmart.com, donnafargua@walmart.com, gjustice@walmart.com, william.simon@wal-mart.com, john.fleming@wal-mart.com, beverly.meek@wal-mart.com, gwojciechowski@walmart.com, robson.walton@wal-mart.com THREAD SEEMS TO HAVE CAPPED: NEW ONE HERE ******* UPDATE 5 ******* Rockjaw (Stephen Reid) via Twitter: @maria_rinner EA has not restricted any retailer from getting SWTOR to customers in time for Dec 20th; also still talking to retailers. ******* UPDATE 4 ******* Here's the breakdown: All retailers should have their copies by the 15th and be shipping "expeditiously" All people who registered their CE PreOrder codes with SWTOR are in the EA system THEREFORE All people who pre ordered the CE SHOULD GET IT, according to EA's system So it looks like EA has actually been in touch with their retailers (he specifically mentioned GameStop as already having theirs and Best Buy with WalMart, etc...) and that as far as EA is concerned, they had the stock and if you got a CE preorder code, you have a CE waiting for you that should be with the retailer on the 15th AND SHIPPED AFTER IT ARRIVES. ******* Original Post ******* Yes, we all know the story by now; stuff got cancelled, but not really, but some yes and others no and the rest are in processing, etc... etc... Frankly, whatever. A glitch happened and both Bioware and Walmart did what they could to resolve it. I'm not here about that. What I'm here about is, having called in multiple times throughout the process to check on my order, ensure it's not messed up, ensure it's still coming, etc... and being told that Walmart Doesn't Have Any Copies of the CE Yet They don't expect to until the 20th They don't think they'll mail it until the 23rd I may not receive my CE at any point this year It's out of their hands, they say. They don't have it. Well, I'm still waiting on an email response from BioWare as to how in the heck I'm supposed to be okay with this when we're not getting a grace period. (Tried calling, however, I couldn't get through. The automation literally told me to hang up in three different languages). I'm not talking a few days... I'm talking multiple weeks, even though I ordered well in advance. I don't know where to go from here. When it comes down to it, yes I'll wait (I don't have any other options, really, if I want to play) but this whole experience has just been frustrating and these forums are my last outlet. I've gone back and forth with Walmart so many times that I'm just at my wit's end. This isn't a pleasant experience and, yes, you can bet I won't be going through them again - I wouldn't have in the first place if I could avoid it. However, now they're telling me they don't even have the item when we've got reports of people in Europe already picking up their copies from the stores and, well, that's frustrating on a whole separate level. Because now it's not Walmart - now it's Bioware. And I kind of like Bioware. But that's being tested right now. I don't think I'm being unreasonable to want my product in time. Is there anything else that can be done? Anything I haven't tried? Because otherwise I guess I'm just hoping this nudge makes someone sit up and say "I feel like helping someone today." Sigh. ******* UPDATE 3 ******* @RueiChiyo You're not being ignored, but ultimately, it'll be Walmart's decision - just as it was Amazon's. PS: One tweet is fine. - Stephen Reid ******* UPDATE 2 ******* RE: PAYPAL Just checked with a paypal rep, who checked with their supervisor: anyone who ordered through PayPal should see no problems from PayPal when WalMart goes about recharging you for your order. ******* UPDATE 1 ******* We do not have the option to change shipping. No one else has the CE in stock. We have been told MANY different things about our orders. Our orders have been cancelled and uncancelled, charged, refunded and charged again. Sometimes the item is in stock, sometimes it's not, sometimes it's discontinued. Most of us wanted to order somewhere else but for various reasons couldn't get in in time. Okay? It's not something we did wrong and I'd really appreciate it if fellow gamers realized this.
  7. ... You don't really need "male" and "female" romances - just unlock available romances/one night stands etc... and let people get there via their choices in game regardless of what race/gender they are No need to make whole bunches of separate lists, oi. Would be pretty hard to implement one night stands in a game rated the way it is, though. I doubt we'll see it either way.
  8. Grid - mostly achievable from operations frames, and so I am not terribly antsy about it Click Casting - AKA: mouseover casting. Yes. A billion times yes. Again, just giving us macros and a @mouseover modifier (ala Rift, for example) would fulfill this just fine. The click casting is more important to me for two reasons; I don't lose my target when healing people and the game is designed around not having to heal constantly, thus switching targets to do so limits our abilities to contribute in other ways. Other than that, while I wish I could have a more minimalist layout, that's really all I want to play with less frustration. Yes I CAN be perfectly effective as it is now... but it's annoying as all heck.
