Agree 100%. As others have said SWG is dead and that is that... However I do sympathize.... SWTOR excels over SWG in many areas but this community, whether Hater, or Fanboi, just outright sucks. If it wasn't for my guild I probably would have quit a long time ago. Not because of the game and problems I have with it, I can live with those, but because of this horrid horrid community. I have been apart of some toxic MMO communities, but not matter how many breaks I take from this forum since October of 08, I come back, and it's worse. That really takes some doing people... And if you think I'm talking about one group vs. the other, I'm probably talking about you. (not you specifically Theron, but the general you [see: Fanboi/ Hater] that thinks it has to be black or white with this game).

I commented in this thread earlier and read some other responses and had to go into game and group on FP and heroics just so I remembered most people in the actual game weren't the self depracating elitists ***hats I've read on these boards the last few days/ weeks. Yo, soloers, I promise you most guilds/fp/ops players are really cool freaking people, give'em a chance and you will be rolling around with your politcally correct HK in no time.

While I am not a solo only kind of player, I am not a PvE player either. I prefer PvP. Does this mean I don't like to grouping? Actually I love grouping when it's for an objective I enjoy (see: pvp). And sorry this is not BiS we're talking here so its not like anyone's saying turn an MMO into a spg. Some of the responses... "Don't you dare!" LOL way to go there, baby mama drama. Also I think you see the, shall we call it dissapointment, is most MMO fans could care less about the addition of HK. They could have picked any other new companion character, the only reason they are even adding HK is because fans of the single player game wanted him. The real fans of him would be the Kotor crowd so it is a kind of "stick it to you" that they require the fans that originally gave rise to this MMO from the KoTOR spg to have to play a playstyle they otherwise would avoid, just throwing it out there... And honestly don't see why this had to be tied to Flashpoints. Is this going to give you an advantage in Ops and FP somehow? If so that is a different story, otherwise really don't understand that move. The heroics I get. I even wouldn't have minded 4+ heroics. I just think the flashpoint requirement was not necessary. And believe it or not do enjoy the occasional flashpoint. Just not enought to grind to gear up for a HM if thats what it will be, as has been suggested. Imagine the whining that would of come from the other side if they made it where you had to win a certain number of WZ's in order to get it for people who don't PvP... ( and before it gets said no I not lumping all into one just saying it goes both ways). Ah well he will probably be available in the cash shop anyway. (I kid I kid)

Sooo... you want your leveling gameplay to continue and you want endgame content to be tapered back... which, would cause more of the subscribers on here to complain MORE about lack of engame content? Are you trying to make it go 100% F2P? And FYI: Endgame IS Ops, Fps, and WZ's, not more levels.

GIve me an effin' break, if they would have listend to, oh I don't know, other industry pioneers, game journalist, the original developers, MMO GAMERS! you know the whole dang GENRE telling them what they need to do, maybe things would be differe... Look at my post history, you will see I never negatively talked about the game till this decision. Not because there weren't problems, but because so many before me had ALREADY TOLD THEM! Get real... Honestly, I feel like I have a right to be skeptical. I was there when MxO died... Smaller dev teams almost ALWAYS = bye bye content. And like the last few months here, you see the signs WAY before hand. If, big IF, this game hadn't gone F2P so soon I would feel different, but I have been though this before and burned. MxO was my first MMO, I loved it, they didn't even give it a CHANCE to go F2P... they just shot in the back of the head. God I miss hyperjump... if you ever played you know what I'm talking about... My second subbed MMO was EVE Online, it impressed for a few weeks then got real boring quick. I ws more into the background music that anything else after a while lol. The last MMO I subbed to before SWTOR was DCUO. I had fun, loved being able to fly! Ain't gonna lie I got a serious superman addiction. But it went free to play and even superman couldn't save it from the ADD riddled kiddies that now have what they consider unlimited access, to the spammers, and the just miserable and fail at life individuals that game has seriously degenerated into IMHO. I went back a while later and good god had the quality of both community and content diminished. It was all spam and gear grind. Sorry if you don't agree that's just how I and my friends saw it. And before anyone ask's yes I tried Wow, I tried WoW for 30 days three seperate times. Why three you ask? Friends and Family know I like gaming, saw all the advertisements and have brought me the game three times lol! I just couldn't do it. It's not that blizzard has a bad product, just I'm full up on fantasy after 30 years of it. Thanks for reading TLDR; In my experience when a game goes F2P this fast after already barely pumping out content, and having little to no communication, it's already just become a milk it scenario and is only a matter of time before it goes bye bye. EDIT: I just wanted to say when I say bye bye content, I mean relevant content. They will give you what the money changer deem is content, for sure, not what Gamers deem as content. The only content you will get from launch of F2P is the kind of content they can make money off, so even if you are entitled to it for free it's quality and frequency will based on how much money EA's market analyst predict it will amke. At the very least get ready to have your star wars immersion go out the window.

This. And... I invested in this game, I have the freaking Malgus statue to prove I stuck through the BS, I put up with th crap, I am tired of spending my money and keeping the faith and not having it returned. And they will be blessed with my presence until another Sci-Fi non fantasy MMO (Please Please don't say EvE, PLEASE!) comes out. A good one. I need to find the next true Bioware esque studio. The one that didn't sell out to one of the big boys. Can't believe I actually miss SWG now.

Never said this^^^ but I dang sure thought it... It's like the people saying it won't be that bad think we have never played a F2P game. I played'em, I don't play them anymore. I know why and most others do too. The only reason I am even giving this a chance is because how big a fan I am of the IP. That is the only reason, but please stop telling me " I know you think it looks like the same crap as over there but trust me, it won't taste like crap. I Promise !) Probably doing what a lot of the pay to play games do when going F2P... kidding it up seeing that we are bout to get much less mature influx of ADD infected youthful players to this game. Sorry that was the only way I could say it in a nice way. Edit: I should say to me it sounds kiddie to me. Like Frosted Flakes or Coco puffs.
